  • A fragment of the Liberated African Story is told through a tour conducted within Rupert’s Valley by Director of the St Helena Museum, Adam Sizeland. Adam recounts the journey and conditions faced when the Liberated Africans arrived to St Helena’s shores, for many St Helena was their final resting place.

    What can you say???? Its good to know history and where Africans were taken and their story. Its also good to know some of the history of this interesting island.......I don't think there are any other peoples who have been so scattered....

    Why not use some sort of Sonar Radar/scanner/satelite to check for bones underground and carry out dna testing on these bones to trace their origins as well as their offsprings.
    354 bones means nothing in todays day and age we are used to bad news.
    But 354 bones 1 of which was the great grand father of Mr. xyz Aghoro of Capetown/Nigeria now residing in Liverpool was uncovered will give a human face and name to the story and make it more personal and more relatable.
