  • Graph explanation of Eurocharged TCU tune of the Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG 722.9xx transmission. Showing torque gains, shifting time changes, and torque decay changes.
    Notice that RPM of shifts does not change, only torque, and time endured to accelerate and shift is reduced.
    DISCLAIMER: The test is performed on Dynojet 424xLinx without Eddie Current resistance to simulate wind and friction resistance. Actual gain varies by vehicle weight and road conditions, but this demo shows the decrease in shift time and torque increase based on the dyno roller inertia.

    Small gain for such a large amount of money. $2K plus 😳 I will say the ECU tune is fantastic!!

      several tenths of second in quarter mile is not a small gain. TCU tune is recommended as next step after ECU is done

    Just ordered my TCU tune today. Will do that first, since the 10 year old CLS63 transmission has "old" software. After the tune, I'll consider doing the ECU. Looking forward to better shifts!

    • @EurochargedBoston
      @EurochargedBoston  Před 8 měsíci

      TCU tune is not very effective without ECU being tuned first. It also should not be used to speed up a slow shift caused by wear and tear, or be expected to be a replacement for Mercedes software update.

    Well explained. Thank you. Any comparisons with CPC tuning?

    • @EurochargedBoston
      @EurochargedBoston  Před rokem +1

      CPC tuning is intended to remove low torque limits imposed by the factory, intended as a hardware safety measure. The two products are not "either or", and the two products should not be compared per say. Any AMG with CPC limits from factory need the CPC tuned in order for it to realize the full benefits of ECU tune.
      ALL AMGs can benefit from a TCU tune, regardless of CPC.
      Omitting CPC tune in a car that will need it will cause a limp home, and the graph will be a flat line at 0 lol

    Would you consider making a tune similar to something like the stock Amg-Lite models have (like the C43) with ignition cut on upshift

    Great video! I have the stage 2 ECU tune from Eurocharged-Dallas on my 2018 C43 and it seems like it has issues shifting at low speed when stepping on the gas its almost like something is binding and I have to let off the gas. Would the TCU help with that? The car seems to get confused when shifting at low speed when you step on the gas. I've heard other have this issue as well with the tuned M276.

      Please visit our shop in Dallas to evaluate the situation. eliminate the possibility of mechanical issues, make sure you have the latest ECU and TCU software. TCU tune is not intended to repair any issues or improve shift quality.

      The graph is against time, and not rpm. look again at 1:45 and observe how RPM shift point is identical to stock at 6100rpm when graphed against rpm
