Hi Jonathan. Nice to hear your story. I often say I’m not a motorcyclist but a tourist that goes by motorcycle. I started on a bicycle and progressed up to a motorcycle to go further. Now on Goldwing too and trips maybe slightly more exotic but it’s that same feeling I had a 15 year old with a dodgy Raleigh loaded like a French onion seller’s bicycle. Keep it up! Paul
Hi Jonathon, you couldn't have summed that up any better. I love riding my Goldwing around solo and two up. She never fails to surprise how flickable she is for such a heavy bike! I stick to A and B roads mainly, as narrow D roads with the bikes width can cause a few issues😄 We are off to Germany this year so she'll love the roads over there! Keep the videos coming mate👍
Thank you so much for your comment! The roads in this video are pretty mundane rides but I found myself looking forward to the next roundabout so I could have a little fun riding round it :) I always imagined such a bike would have the responses of oil tanker but it is SO agile it belies its bulk.
Good video and intresting story. Aint it funny they storys we hear about why people ride, also the negativity we get from none riders. Everyone who tells me bike riding is dangerous are none riders, funny how they have more knowledge about riding than ridets have. Hope the bike is going well, i bought my first goldwing 6 weeks ago and love it. Got a video of it on my youtube. Keep the videos coming mate.😊

I shall comment on them soon. I have my own idea of why people like to think bikes are dangerous. That idea my feature in a future video's commentary. I feel much safer riding a motorcycle. Looking 10 cars ahead, I am only 3 feet wide, have brakes or speed to get out of issues. Smells and sound much clearer. Feelings with being in the movie rather then watching the movie. Same with sports, being apart of the surroundings is much more of a way to get from part A to B. I don't think about work till I arrive and stop when I leave.
"being in the movie rather then watching the movie" I'm going to steal that line! I agree about feeling safer on a motorcycle - I feel more connected to the world, more alert and more in control of me than any other type of transport.

The condition of UK roads is shameful. Never used to be anything like as bad as they are now.
