    Thanks for all your effort, EuniUnni! Finally an answer from VT themselves that the spicules aren't absorbed by the skin. I kinda freaked out when I watched Dr Dray's video, but I understand she was being extra cautious considering it's a relatively newer skincare ingredient. Now I can be at ease and keep using reedle shot. Haven't seen quicker results with any other product!

      No offense to Dr. dray and all other “medical professionals” of skin … but just because that’s what they are doesn’t mean they know everything since as general westerners and western technology just isn’t that advanced. I truly with they don’t try to talk about and act like they have the “latest kbeauty” know how. They simply don’t. And they have very old beliefs and whenever they hear anything different they’d accuse it of being ineffective , “doesn’t really do anything” and so on.

    • @banknegara100
      @banknegara100 Před 6 dny +1

      sorry but I’m abit confused. If it’s not absorbed by the skin why does it fall off after 3 days? Shouldn’t it be removed immediately if I wash/wipe my face?

  • @dulcineadeltoboso3748
    @dulcineadeltoboso3748 Před 3 měsíci +87

    I think the reason why so many people got confused and scared of the spicules is the fact that many influencers used the phrase "microneedling in a bottle" when in actuality the effect is more similar to microdermabrasion / exfoliation. Thank you for this highly informative interview!

    • @monicali8569
      @monicali8569 Před 3 měsíci

      And that’s another reason to not listen to westerners when it comes to Korean products lol. They can’t accept anything different than what they know which is very old technology and methods. They’d also call things ineffective or “doesn’t do anything” if it’s different than what they know.

      Wait what? 🤔 What about what the VT rep said specifically about it being like MTS at 6:42 ? That's not microderm abrasion...😅

    • @matthewnugent-marcoux3658
      @matthewnugent-marcoux3658 Před 2 měsíci +2

      @@Caro-zx2ly it's because the needles DON'T dissolve/disappear at all, and may get stuck/embedded. The "supposedly" fall off after 3 days. I mean, the VT rep's non-answer of 'I use this every day for a year, how do I look?' doesn't answer the question at all 🤨

    Thanks Uni, this is so important for Reedle shot users like me because there has been a lot of concerns and hearsay by other channels from doctors to influencers making claims that its not good for your skin in the long term. Apparently these spicules is deemed a foreign objects and our body is suppose to reject foreign objects by encapsulating the foreign object resulting in a hard skin formation on the skin but since they are now being explained that it doesn't absorb into the skin and it will fall off after 3 days, it's a relieve! 😅

    • @briterry4961

    • @monicali8569
      @monicali8569 Před 3 měsíci

      To be honest westerners even skin doctors should really stay away. They can’t accept anything that’s different (actually more advanced) that what they’ve been taught. They’d just label as ineffective or “doesn’t do anything” and such.

    I am a current user of Reedle shot and have been using it consistently for a few months. I use 100 every 3 days due to sensitivity. Based on my experience, I tried the 300 on the back of my hand and gave some to my friend as well as a patch test. They touched their nose briefly after trying it and after 24 hours they noticed that the area where the patch test was on their hand got open wounds and bled. The area on the tip of their nose where they accidentally touched after putting the product on also got a wound. The healing took more than a week. However, on mine, it did not have that kind of severe reaction. This is why I would highly highly advise to do a proper patch test first and wait 24 hours to check on the results. Every person is different and it would be highly recommended to check on how your own skin reacts before proceeding. ❤

    I basically use my age r pro every night anyways. I like it for the results it gives in terms of lifting and improving wrinkles. I managed to fix that one of my double eyelids was creasing lower than my other one now that I am thirty. I used it as instructed and placed double eyelid tape over the old crease to prevent it from folding there again. now they are evening out again.
    I use reedle shot 300 more often than recommended by the chart but not EVERY day. IF you use both too close together I noticed it did start to scratch the head of my age r pro. I feel like I use reedle shot instead of really using the air shot mode. So, the nights that I want to use it I will do my routine and end with a moisturizing face mask to protect and use the device at the end of the routine. OR I will wait until much much later after my routine and use my device with a moisturizing toner that I know is safe for me to use a lot of.

      Nevertheless it addressed the concerns I had, which included the fact that the spicules do not penetrate beyond the outer corneum layer of my skin. Given my skin recycles every 30-40 days, I am comfortable with their explanation that the vast majority will shed along with my dead skin during exfoliation / natural shedding process. The VT representative suggested they will shed away every three days (at 00:04:41)

    I appreciate your efforts in taking the time to engage in this discussion. I recently shared my personal experience on Dr. Dray's channel, reflecting on a truly transformative encounter. However, it seems that some of her devoted followers regard her opinions as infallible, leading to a barrage of criticism directed towards me. Despite Dr. Dray's characterization of the product as "terrifying", I hope that this Q&A session will serve to provide a more balanced perspective for viewers. Naturally, there are skeptics who will claim the VT representative may have biases due to her association with VT, but I find such baseless attacks unwarranted and devoid of reason.

    This was incredibly helpful due to your language skills and enthusiasm and the willingness of the actual company to be completely transparent in answering the questions you gathered, (off the back of mostly influencers who use fear to grow their channels). Transparency of the company is IMO at least as valuable as what was specifically being said. I am so delighted as an ex medical doctor now helping people with their health naturally, to start to use this myself (I have some arriving tomorrow) indeed I am REALLY excited, I had not been put off by Dr Dray et al as they do like to grow their channel by putting out opinion which can be conflicting or controversial which does their channel no harm it is a sort of confirmation bias and echo chamber effect in the opposite direction of “cherry picking” - you can seek confirmation bias in such an environment to state something is harmful just as easily as you can to state something is beneficial. I’m so excited having seen this clear and comprehensive video to start using my product the 100, when it arrives and cannot thank you enough for creating this important piece of content on CZcams where people like to just make up their mind then talk on something without properly informing themselves. I love your passion, enthusiasm and energy. Thank you!!!! ❤ I’ll be one of your Eunicorns for sure and now I know exactly what to do with it, when to use it etc when it does arrive 😂 at the age of almost 52 and having had my fair share of skin issues over the years, never having had fully clear skin, (milia, pores, acne, rosacea all at various ages and stages to varying degrees since a teenager) and now wrinkles to deal with I am highly interested in learning what works and what does not with the aim of clear skin and less wrinkles as I grow older in age! Hopefully will also be able to help others too. Right now I am with a company which does highly innovative all natural skincare based on colloidal silver as the base ingredient which is already one of my favourite ingredients in life and I will be incorporating this product along with VT reedle and a couple of other products I have recently added to my regime. That includes the snail serum by cosrx. Thank goodness for such information sharing! So excited!!!! Thanks again! ❤

Wouldn’t the spicules similarly be breathed in by us and our animals? I feel like things meant to pierce into skin would be bad for lungs?

    I just wondered why we can use reedle shot in the morning? As the staff saids the reedle shot will cause liitle wound to make the active easier to absorb, and it will shred off after 3 days.
    1. What If I apply sun screen in the morning, does it absorb more easily? And cause any side effects?
    2. Is there any research that show how reedle shot shreds off after 3 days?

      So I asked the brand and this is their reply:
      We recommend conducting a patch test on a small area before using it. we advise consulting with a personal health carer before use.
      and just adding on personally there were a lot of different feedbacks and comments according with similar skin concerns including myself that it worked for people with rosacea and some that said it made it worse so i think its def depends on each case and it will be good to consult w your doctor!! for me i dont use it when my skin is not in a good condition! i think its always safer that way since we are addinf voluntary wounds on skin🙏🏻

      @@EuniUnni You going the extra mile for this is so kind and unexpected, thank you 🥺 I appreciate you 🥰
      I wonder if the brand would consider running a study on effects based on the most popular rosacea types. While facial redness in Asia is often a consequence of genomic differences, and reported rosacea patients seem to represent around 1%, the numbers of people affected in Europe and the US are higher, i.e. Ireland alone is around 33% and the reported numbers in the US are around 15.6%. Wouldn't that be beneficial to their global expansion and product distribution?
      I would agree with you that adding voluntary wounds would be counter-intuitive in a highly inflamed area but I can't stop wondering if the VT product can actually accelerate healing by bringing those suiting and hydrating elements into the skin in a more subdued condition. I'm not a dermatologist but if some report positive changes wouldn't that be an interesting case study? 🤔🤓🙃

    Hi! For those of us who don’t speak or read Korean, would you be able to link or show us what exact research there is on the shedding of the spicules in question? You said your research shows they shed in 3 days (give or take based on the person’s skin) and the company confirms that as well. How do they know this? Is there testing or studies that non-Korean speakers are simply having trouble accessing? I believe this information would go a long way in assuaging many concerns, otherwise we simply have to believe the company. Thank you so much for all you’re doing to disseminate skincare info across language barriers and across the world!

      Personally I would def recommend consulting with the doctor anf since there hasnt been clinical testings on someone who is pregnant! maybe it’s safer not to use but plz do consult with your doctor🙏🏻

    dayoung said that she use 300 everyday, is that possible? i am thinking of moving on to 300 once i finish my 100 shot! after almost going thru my 100 shot, the tingling effect is almost not there, does that mean my skin has gotten used to it and it's not working as effectively?

    I use reedle shot in the morning. If I use it at night, my pillowcase feels very prickly against my face and I have a hard time sleeping. Anyone else experienced something similar? I'm a bit worried because they mentioned using at night is best.
    Also is it ok to use retinol after reedle shot? I've seen mentions of people using them on separate days.

    • @EuniUnni
      @EuniUnni  Před 3 měsíci +5

      hey love I haven't experience that yet but if you are a side sleeper and it does get bothersome, maybe you can try using 50 for day routineee, the higher levels the brand did mention + rec for night routine! personally for me if I use during the day I feel like I can still feel it when im like using puff to add in base makeup etc so I def prefer for night (Sensation wise too) and for retinol, I think it def depends on each person and skin! For stronger formulas I dont use them together BUT for really gentle ones like for beginnings (skinnlab retinol serum) I love using them in one routine and great combo for my sensitive skin!

    If this is like microneedling why aren't we using it every 4 to 6 weeks? Or if it's like cosmetic needling why aren't we using it only 1 time per week? Doesn't our skin need time to heal and produce collagen?
    My other question is how does VT know that 100% of the spicules exfoliated naturally from the skin within 3 to 5 days?
