Very interesting video. Once a living city but now a gost town. In the beginning just after the disaster: buildings, streets, restaurants, amusement parks etc still intact but without people. So sad. Thank you from Sweden.

It was interesting to see how the city has changed over the years. Now vegetation in the city has even begun to grow there. I visited the City in 1985 with my parents, and i specifically remember being baffled by the overall lack of technical complexity in the interior decoration, very few intricate details and an abundance of simple concrete surfaces painted in turquoise blue (a colour popular in the sixties in western Europe) along with single pane glass windows and an overall impression of limited money primarily spend on exterior architecture. My mum specifically ordered me not to mention my impressions to any locals whatsoever.
Well, that's your opinion. But you must take into account that similar architectural styles, constructivism, social. realism and others were popular in Communist countries, and in many Western countries at that time a lot of concrete buildings were being built. That was the fashion. Moreover, cities, especially such exemplary ones as Pripyat, were built according to the same principles, wide spacious streets, buildings located not next to each other.
This was the vision of Soviet architects for how a modern city should be designed, so that everything was within an accessible distance from the house, because shops were then located between houses, and kindergartens and schools were often in the courtyards of residential blocks. And concrete was used because it was the most economical and fastest way to build and provide housing for a large number of people in a fairly short time. Of course, when most residential buildings were built according to a template, there was little variety, but in many cities they tried to compensate for this by painting different wall images, painting panels in different colors. Perhaps for you in the West, where mostly low-income people live in such panel and apartment buildings, and this is mostly social housing, these houses seem an ugliness and too simple, but for millions of people this is their home, I myself have lived and live in one. Perhaps you have associations with China, where such 25-floor buildings stand on top of each other in a small area, but there it arose later, and even there there is absolutely no layout, harmonious arrangement, or the like. There, the houses stand next to each other, there is no green strip with a sidewalk between them, there are no courtyards where children's playgrounds and institutions are usually located. Of course, this layout was not an ideal solution, but it tried to be one, and in many European Union countries where these areas have been restored, life is now really good, and many, on the contrary, prefer such housing in the city.

I've collected many books about the Chernobyl disaster and Pripyat and it's sad to see how this once thriving city has become a ruin filled with memories of those citizens who had to leave. This disaster contributed to the collapse of the former USSR. Please write your videos in English too. Watching from Northern Ireland 🍀🍀
Thank you for your feedback. My videos are mainly in Russian, since this channel was created for a specific topic of the videos. My videos were initially aimed at a single language audience, but this video was an exception, which is why it probably was so successful. Len západná propaganda vraví že táto katastrofa prispela k rozpadu ZSSR, pravda je taká že ZSSR rozložili Trockysti zvnútra, takí zapredaní Rusi ako bol Gorbačov.

Спасибо, хоть это всё таки не именно сталкерское видео, где я ,,в прямом эфире" хожу по развалинам, такие видео я пока не выкладывал, (да самому в Припяти пока побывать не довелось) а видео, подборка фотографии с интернета, которые я постарался упорядочнить в правильном порядке. Но да, это впервую очередь видео показывающие город, вроде такой же обычный, как и многие другие в СССР, но в то же время уникальный своими образами и судьбой. Показывающие, что город хоть и покинут, но улицы, дома никуда не делись, город всё ещё стоит и ждёт людей, которые туда больше никогда не вернутся. Музыку я старался подобрать как можно лучше под каждый период жизни города, поэтому в 90-е такая мрачная мелодия, ведь город был мёртв, и никто кроме патрулей военных и редких автобусов с бывшими жителями не посещал его, видно что он брошен, но при этом всё ещё кажется, что это произошло недавно, и люди могут вернутся. Потом же Припять стала туристической достопримечательностью, памятником, и кол-во людей, которые в ней бывают стало выше

@@ucirak No toto je veľmi spochybniteľná teória. Je príliš málopravdepodobné, že by to niekto urobil úmyselne, nemalo to pre nikoho výhodu, ZSSR by si určite týmto sám strelil do nohy ak by to urobil na vlastnom území. Podobná katastrofa sa v Sovietskom Zväze navyše predtým už diala( úmyselná) v Sibíri v 70-tých rokoch. USA tiež nemalo prečo to robiť, v tom čase už bola studená vojna na ústupe, a v tom čase už západ nebol zainteresovaný v rozpade Sovietskeho Zväzu, minimálne nie tak chaoticky, ako sa to nakoniec udialo, nechceli aby sa jadrové zbrane ocitli medzi x štátmi, s ktorými by bolo treba rokovať(to sa ale práve stalo)
@@MapperoftheZone bude to tak, západu veľmi záležalo na rozpade veľmoci ako bola ZSSR, rovnako po rozpade ZSSR západu ležala v žalúdku druhá najväčšia Slovanská krajina v Európe a najväčší psojenec ZSSR a to bola Bývalá Juhoslávia. Takže táto teória je logicky správna nie spochybniteľná. Všetko pekne do seba zapadá ako to začalo od 1985 od schválenia Perestrojky vlastizradcom Gorbačovom až po rozpad ZSSR v roku 1991.

But in the end it becomes the wound of half the world how many people were affected by the radiation all over the world. But still, something good came out of it all, the Stalker games.

Even in the best of times in Pripyat, the town looked like barren East Berlin.....giant areas of nothing but concrete and open space. And this was supposed to be the most highly sought after city in the Soviet Union before the disaster. There's no way to sugar coat Communism into something of virtue, it's a miserable existence based on lies and oppression. If anything, time and nature has done this abandoned city a valuable service. Trees and wildlife have filled the void of all that concrete. And the land is now back in Ukrainian hands, not Russian.

Во вторых сама АЭС ни хрена не дешёвый объект для экономики любой страны.
В третьих ЧАЭС питала "ДУГА-2" деньги затраченные на строительство и значение. Не зря же любые переговоры о ракетах начинались с Дуги, наши дипломаты только загадочно улыбались.
Всё так и было, спецотряд под руководством Джо Бидона совершил диверсию.

@@user-rh4dr8tg7k som Slovák z bývalého ČSSR u nás je verejným tajomstvom že už v 1986 sa vedelo že východný blok sa rozpadne a nakoniec zrejme aj ZSSR, veď Trockysta Gorbačov už v 1985 odštartoval v ZSSR odsúhlasil Perestrojku čo viedlo k likvidácií socializmu vo vychodnom bloku. Celé to bolo sabotáž.

Это город на территории Украины. Во время СССР естественно главным гос. языком был русский, но и надписи на Украинском там можно увидеть, например надпись на здании ,,Хай будє атом робітником, а не солдатом"(Пусть будет атом рабочим, а не солдатом). Во всех республиках СССР был гос. язык русский и язык народа этой республики

Спасибо, я рад что вам понравилось! Да, я не всегда указывал точную дату, но я старался в общих чертах указать какой год/десятилетие на фото. Разумеется на фото до аварии я только в некоторых случаях знал наверняка, какой это год, в остальном же я писал приблизительно.
