    Kenny.
    I tried what Mo told me to do personally before his passing.
    We chatted about my thoughts and he said it does go against what he says but it worked as it made me spin out of the ball in a sense. My tilt before the change was 7-10 degrees. After I made this change I said my tilt increased to 13°. My original pitches were 3/8 lateral on both fingers and a 1/4” reverse on both fingers.
    I changed them to 5/16 lateral left and 1/4 reverse on middle finger.
    7/16 reverse on ring and 1/2” right lateral. So I made the ring finger fly out of the grip while forcing my middle finger to stay in a tad longer.
    As good as mo was he told me being wrong now and then was a good thing and I made the right decision on my own. To which it taught me more about performance fitting than I ever imagined. Thanks for the reply and I hope this made sense.

    Vincent, where are you located. I like the way you do the drilling. Do you have a comment about drilling the middle finger for fingertip and the ring finger for conventional grip. Would that give you more rotation?

      Hey there. So I am located in
      Las Vegas inside the SantaFe Station bowling center. So what you are describing is called the sarge Easter grip. It was designed to lower your rev rate and ease pain in the ring finger. It does make it feel like you are lifting up the ball versus rolling it off your hand. Watch Brunsnick he has that grip and explains it but it was makes him release on the upswing and come around the ball a bit if that makes sense.
      You turn a door knob but roll a ball off your hand.
      Thanks for watching and the reply.

    Being as close to right as possible is always a good thing. 👍

    You should be good to go with Mike. No matter what shop there’s always bound to be someone unhappy with something. It’s just how things are. Mike was on tour and is also a product specialist for Brunswick. Just talk to him and explain your issues he should be good to go. If you are using interchangeable thumbs you could always get your specs. Send them to me I can put them in my system and I’ll have them anytime you want a ball drilled as we can do the whole transaction over the phone and I can ship you the ball. We can do it with a slug as well but with an interchangeable thumbs it’s usually easier unless the shop that did it originally tries to grow a brain and change the factory depths on the drill bit.

      Joe. If your PSO doesn’t really talk with you about your bowling style or even tries to get you on the lanes to watch you bowl and get as much info from your ball as they can then maybe it’s time to look elsewhere.
      In my opinion your ball driller should be available for you not the other way around. I may not be able to get out on the lanes to watch a person bowl. But if they bring me a ball they just recently bowled with I can usually get info just by looking at your ball tracking. Ball drillers are like car mechanics, once you find one you like you keep going to them until you find someone you like even better. Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions.

    I'm a bit confused. At one point you stated you adjusted your Ring Finger Pitch, to the RIGHT to increase your tilt, but based on everything Mo has taught us, this is the opposite. To increase tilt, would be to lower your track, which would be rolling your pitches to the left, not right. More reverse in the ring makes sense, as low tilt bowlers are Ring Finger dominant, and the goal is to decrease that dominance.

    Why do they drill the finger tip holes so deep? I would rather have the most material possibly left for added weight. Can they be drilled like an inch deep?

    • @vincentortiz2609
      @vincentortiz2609  Před 15 dny

      Jim you can drill them only a 1” deep but to be honest you are saving literally ounces. And like 1/2 an ounce at that. Bowling balls today are designed and engineered towards bowlers with grips and slugs. And yes even designed for no thumb bowlers as well.
