  • Renton is a city in King County, WA, just 11 miles south of downtown Seattle.
    #washington #washingtondc
Historically it’s been best known for the assembly point for Boeing 737 airplanes, but it has SO MUCH MORE to offer… and today, we will give you a tour.
Renton has a population of 110,000 people and has many great residential neighborhoods, that are more affordable than bellevue or other parts of Eastside.
In this video, you will get a glimpse of the following:
    Gene Coulon Park:
    - 57 acre park
    - Boat launch, Jogging, hiking, swimming, badminton, volleyball, tennis courts, picnic shelters,
    Southport Development on Lake Washington:
    - Hyatt Regency hotel
    - 347 room, 4 star hotel on the shores of Lake WA
    - Southport office campus
    - 3, nine story towers directly connected to hotel
    - Bristol - luxury apartment complex - I lived here
    Renton Landing:
    - Shopping district, restaurants, LA Fitness, movie theater
    - Top Golf
    - Boeing Factory - Boeing
Last but not least, Downtown Renton:
Was a thriving community with Boeing moving in 1941’s and whole downtown was redeveloped in 1950’s with JC Penney, Bartells, Westfield jewelers. Then when I405 was built, downtown declined in following decades as freeway bypassed downwind renton, Boeing layoffs prompted many to leave, and south center mall was where everyone went.
But it’s all changing, in January of 2018 a new plan by city of renton was adopted to revive downtown into a place where people of all ages can live, work, shop, recreate and gather, and that is what we see today.

Don't move to Renton unless you like crimes and the homeless scene.

I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment... but I would disagree. Renton is a great place to live, and crime/homelessness is much lower than some other areas around here in WA state.

@@dariuscincys I don't know if you live in DT Renton or not, but I do since 2014. I just got my own place since 2023 from living everywhere in DT Renton and nearby areas from streets, to bushes, inside car lots, abandoned buildings and the works. Renton TC is the hub for many who are homeless to come and go. Most are mobile, most of the time. Some stay to make sell black, clear and now blues to the expanding market of new jacks from other places as side hustles. Younger crowds are in and older ones dies out or routinely circulating around Score with their FTAs. You can have your opinion, but Renton City Council wants to paint Renton like the future Landing (right from their plans). People are invisible to you. But they see you. The dirty side of Renton are never discuss like the mouse plagues rampant all of DT Renton. Homelessness are everywhere. It will never die, only multiply.
