What a great tour! You have an amazing eye for pointing things out and explaining what they are whereas someone like me would just overlook it. Like the worn out beam in the blacksmith shop.

I’ve been through Virginia City twice. But not when anything was open.
Once in January and that was cold and snow. Once in early spring. I can see I need to make a trip during open season to take in the museum areas and inside the
buildings. But , I will say the January visit definitely gave you a sense of the true “ rawness” of what life would have been like . Man, it was COLD!

What a neat little town. Lots of history. Not sure if you guys watch Steve Wallis on CZcams but his wife died unexpectedly a few days ago. He could really use prayers right now.

Oh So Nice & So Sweet, I Love this town. (My father Always said he was born 100 yrs Too late. At the time I didn't know what he was talking about, but I sure turned out to be an old soul longing for Yesteryear) I'm definitely going to make a trip up to this Fantastic Town next summer. And All the other Great places Montana has to offer. Unbelievable Beauty. This is my kind of Disneyland. Thank You Rick and Linda yet again, for bringing us to Another Wonderful place. History has always been my main focus, and the 'American West' comes in Tops above everything. I keep praying it will still be America, in the next hundred years. You Really know how to deliver a great story, and soon we hope for a full length feature. Personally I just Can't get enough of this show and tell. 👍👏👏👏👏👏

    • @gonagain

Thanks, Vinny! We're currently in North Central Nevada, just hanging out and exploring canyons. The neat thing about the southwest is that you can still see history laying around, because things don't deteriorate very much, and they aren't covered under feet of humus.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing town. I am SO glad the folks preserved it for us today. We have added it to our list of places to visit b/c of your video. It is incredible that those buildings are still standing on their original foundations (I wish builders today would do that kind of quality work. I'm not sure a lot of homes built today will last 150 years!). I love those big posts at the bottom of old staircases. I loved that Linda told the story about y'all staying there. Thanks for the tour, too! Very neat place...maintained in incredible condition...thanks to the Boveys (?) Such an absolute treasure!!! I love Linda's sense of humor! ❤🙏Jane

It appears that you two and my wife and I crossed paths possibly multiple times in July/August 2022. We towed our camper from Jackson Hot Springs to Bannack for Bannack Days, to Dillon on the Sunday after, same day down to the Centennial Valley, and stayed there for 4 nights. Traversed the Gravelly Range Road leaving the Centennial Valley and spent just a night at Norris Hot Spring before a week in Rock Creek at Bitterroot Flats campground. Followed by a week in the White Sulphur Springs area for the music festival and capped it off with 3 nights at Crystal Lake in the Big Snowies. The local resident spoke the truth about how bad the northern end of Gravelly Range Rd and especially Call Rd were in late July. It took us two hours to get from Clover Meadows down to the last mile or two of Call Rd before pavement. Any other route out would likely have been better.

Possible cause of the gas smell - your EVAP canister may be cracked, and leaking fumes. You checked under the car for issues, but the crack might be subtle or on the back. You travel on some rough roads, so a rock could have kicked up. If you can't find the leak by pushing on the hoses or the EVAP canister, you will need a shop that can do smoke testing.

Thank you, J Wagner, that's the kind of advice I was hoping for.

Amazing town! Everything kept as it once was so that we could appreciate and learn from today! Excellent video guys. History of VC Montana very interesting. I didn't know Montana had one too. Thank you so much. I hope vehicle issue was figured out and not serious. Happy and safe adventures. Thanks for bringing us along. 🙂

This was a great video Rick, I absolutely love historical buildings and artifacts, also it is hard to imagine buying a town lock stock and barrel, truly a forward thinking purchase.
If you notice everything in the town is biodegradable wood, iron or material. Again well done.

Hey Youse Two🙋‍♀️🇨🇦❤️‼️ We just finished testing out our Taylor Coach& FJ(Black Betty) combo, 13,600+miles @ 14mpg, the only issues are: 20gigs of data only lasts me 2 weeks, and we Still are held captive in Canada by the Dicktator! So I've missed watching you and buying stuff 😆😆😆🙋‍♀️🇨🇦❤️🚙⛽️⛽️⛽️‼️

Hi Jane! Linda and I are happy to hear from you. We got Starlink a month ago, used it at home and are now traveling with it. It's doing great as long as you give it a good view of the sky. For us that's to the north. Glad to hear that your outfit is working out for you.
