Cracking honest vlog. Cut and shut steel chassis is just wrong. I agree with a galvanised one. The USA need to have a rethink.

@@wearemahker your rebuilds are really good for inspiration as I am trying to tidy up my station wagon. Your 330D will go straight into a td5 or will you need replacing the engine mounts? I like the off roading video. I stay in the Highlands Scotland and there's no pay and play not as easy to go off-roader here.
@@PHIL-BRO unfortunately the bmw swap requires new mounts, we prefer to couple the bmw to the 6 speed from the puma as we can build the mt82 to take the power 💪

We don’t send them through customs with anything other than the original these cars are for the uk

Great Video! Beautiful TDI 200 motors! Do you favour the TDI over the TD5?
To be honest we just love the simplicity of the Tdi we’ve never had one actually die.
On the td5’s we’ve spent days finding cracked heads/fuel pump issues /loom faults oils in looms/injection faults mushroomed nozzles.
But then we’ve had a few very sweet Td5’s like the G4 in our Videos.

I have TDI 200. I'm wondering if I swap into my 2006 TD5 110 the TDI would the traction control be able to work?
One more question, how difficult is it to get a low mileage TD5 motor?

If someone was to order a brand new Bowler spaceframe chassis with their custom build,, would the VIN number be considered original, in light of the fact that Bowler belongs to the Land Rover company?
That’s something you’d have to ask Bowler
I brought over a Defender 90, replaced the chassis before Texas inspection. The sheriff told me to just stamp the original VIN on the new chassis. I don't think customs would care either if the new one was stamped with the original VIN (not sure they would know the difference).
Your upgrade chassis advice on 110 300Tdi: Richards or Marshland?

Because they are pointless if you wish to Wade any higher than 4ft I think you’ll have a very wet interior
