The line accidentally got skipped, but Harry brought up a good point. William served his life sentence. He suffered decades of torture, the pain of being burned alive several times, the agony of being stuck, sentient yet immobile in the back room for however long. If someone defies the laws of nature, survives all that, and wants to be a better person instead of just taking the easy route and letting old habits come back, I say let them try.
I also think he needs serious therapy. If he can get help with his anger issues and other issues he has then i believe everything wouldve worked out fine. It would probably finally finish the missing children incident and put that case to a final close. It would be hard for them to adjust of course, but I believe nick and Delilah would feel safer knowing hes getting help.
Ikr, he has been death for 40 years I guess? Because this comic's timelines is in 2017 ig and he died in 1985 so yeah, let's give peepaw another chance.
Y'know what? I feel more relatable to springtrap and I’m trying to change to become a better person too. This comment and video makes me feels like I can't give up yet, knowing that I'm not the only one that's suffer with mistakes from the past.

I agree with this, but I will say this this isn't Ol' Peepaw. In this AU, Springtrap is a guy named "Rodger Standford", who I assume, doesn't have kids to begin with but with a somewhat same backstory (but probably not the co-owner of Fazbear's). I'd give more information but unfortunately the original creator of this story left all platforms of media :( (Also because I think this story was made before all of the Matpat theories)

This is not accurate to the lore, but the backstory of a man driven insane by the isolation from society is much better then some of the other fan-made backstories for these characters I've seen
I thought the comic would have been just as good if golden freddy was haunted by the soul of the crying child killed in the bite of 83' like in the games, and that was how Afton got the idea of trapping kids in there
This was also clearly made way before we had informations about William and his history

Not like there is anything to do, the guy all ready went through the death penalty. In fact from what I know of the subject Spring-traps death was probably far more painful than most state ordered deaths.
It may not be lore accurate,, but that's still a really good backstory for this Springtrap. He just wanted a family, and had society not shunned him he could've been a great person. Sadly, that's not how things went, as we all know. It paints Springtrap in a more sympathetic light-you can't help but feel bad for the guy-while also acknowledging his toxic, obsessive personality, murderous tendencies and aggression are definitely *not good things* and if he wants to be a better person, he has to face his past and change how he is. It's a real gut-wrenching twist on the character and I love that!
On a more humorous note, Harry's Mom's reaction to that massive bombshell at 1:51 was hilarious, and Springtrap attempting to play Halo is one of the most amusing things I've ever seen.
