While I'm impressed by your efforts in removing the bad decisions of the Bus Project, I wish you'd be a bit more proactive about your choice of sponsor. At least you have options, now, since your last video was sponsored by someone else. You had a bad relationship with the bus, and you got rid of it. You clearly wouldn't suffer a bad relationship with a person -- and, yet, Factor has a bad case of pathological lying, and you not only house it under your roof, and actively support it, but you repeat those lies yourself. You wouldn't support a cheating wife, or a lying girlfriend (if you were unwed), and you clearly didn't put up with the abuse the bus dished out any longer than you had to. It's time to dump Factor.
Here's a little encouragement. Not only have I +Unliked the video, and reported it both for misinformation and for fraudulent and scammy advertising content -- which it is, and you can't _possibly_ be unaware, because nearly every video, if not every video, with this sponsorship fail, has a comment from me documenting quite painstakingly exactly what's wrong here, but I've reported you as a channel, and I've gone and verified which videos are affected, and ALL of them are in the report.
Quite honestly, the legality of CZcams simply allowing people to view such videos, unedited, in countries such as the UK where there are truth-in-advertising laws in effect is openly questionable at best, although I doubt there's even one barrister in all of London who has the "eggs" to take on CZcams directly in such a matter. It would also not surprise me to find that there's some way in which people are actively harmed, economically or otherwise, by being misled by this stuff, although such is pure speculation as of right now.
I applaud your work ethic, and your decision to rid yourself of a project that's weighing you down, and your craftsmanship and skill, as shown simply in retooling that garage into a shop, is obvious. I don't expect perfection from anyone, but I don't see why you can't treat a sponsor that's an albatross about your neck, the same way as you just did a project that was taxing you equally. It's a blight on your reputation, if nothing else. Like I said... it's time to dump Factor.

    • @laserhawk64

On a note separate from my other commentary. Nicely done on the new workshop! I'm impressed by the array of skills I saw on display, from working with reinforced concrete, to woodworking (per your other channel), to something as simple as a sense of organization when it comes to tools and when it comes to layout. I have to say, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in the new space, as well.
You probably don't want any suggestions from me in regards to the new name, as I somewhat doubt I've made a favorable impression of myself in the past few months, but I'll give it a shot anyways... after all, even a blind archer hits a deer in the forest once in a while. It seems to me that you only called it the "bus dungeon" because you _felt_ gloomy by a project that, as you eventually came to realize, was just too much for you -- it was never really a gloomy space. Certainly it isn't one now. You also mentioned how bright the lighting was.
How about the Brilliant Workshop? :D
...I can hear you protesting already, in your self-deprecating way. I won't try to flatter you and call you a genius (I don't believe in insincerity or lies anyways... you, erm, _may_ have noticed...), but I _would_ say that you're fairly brilliant with what you do and what you try to do. The shoe fits, and you should be proud to wear it.

Moreover, the bus project was a failure from day 1, especially when he made the decision to completely re-engineer the bus.

Funny thing: The bus project was one of the reasons that got me into this channel. But I still think you made the right choice. Especially since you didn't want to have the end result anymore.
Projects are a weird thing. You start out with either an idea of something you want or an item that you got by chance. I had this happen to me numerous times and I have quit on both types.
The first ones are usually harder to give up on because you keep coming back to it and have started organizing stuff around the thing you do not have yet but for which you already bought components.
The second ones are usually easier to give up on and I actually have stopped taking stuff because it's free. It never ends well...
A few years back (probably 7 years by now) I got my hands on a free Audi TT leather driver seat. Manual seat adjustment but electrically operated back support and heating. My plan right from the start was making it into a desk chair. So I build a wooden base (that was about 200mm too high) and used it.
But I never could get over the idea of having electrical heating and being able to adjust the back support. So about 4 years ago I started buying components like a 12V power supply, automatic breakers (it turns out most of the ones for your home also work with 12V DC), switches, cables aso. The idea was to build a new base made from square steel pipe and integrate a breaker board into it. But whenever I thought about it, I came up with even nicer solutions. Eventually I buried that idea and used all the home breakers for their intended purpose and bought cheap car relais and a fuse box and switch board for a caravan. That was like 50€ all in all. I build an external power supply as I didn't want a cable with 230V AC (I live in Germany) laying on the floor being moved all the time. This was also like 50 bucks.
But I hit another roadblock: To control the heating you would need a heating controller. This is easy enough. They are like 20 bucks on Amazon. But they come with their own temperature sensor (and only work with that type) and I want to use the one already inside the seat as it is way more accurate and faster. But I couldn't find anywhere which kind of sensor they use. And without that knowledge I cannot buy the correct controller.
We also own and wrench on a lot of cars and from time to time I stop and wonder if I should quit it all, sell everything and buy one nice and newer car. Life would be so much more simple and I'd have more time for other stuff. But then I'd end up with new and potentially even more stupid projects so what's the point :D

Then after the explanation hit's something like 1m views, make it private.... New folks would be watching and re-watching his entire back catalogue of uploads trying to work it out. :D

Hi i'm here thanks to the polish man you've met some time ago who tried to fix your 126p :) (though i watch your channel previously too) - on the comments of his @Zlomnik video someone pointed out the problem with the fuel pump might be not the pump itself but the cam lever that drives it - it is common for it to get worn out and then the pump has not enough stroke to feed the engine... Resulting in exactly the symptoms you've seen (works ok on slow rpm when warm abd dies when revving up) I won't translate how they described this material it is made of cause you're a family friendly channel;) but just pointing it out in case it didn't reach you yet!

It's OK Mr. Dunn, Bus Stuff isn't for everyone.
I had to make a decision on a couple of projects myself recently. I had two motorcycles that I really enjoyed, but they were worn out to the point where I had to fix something on them every time I rode one, and I basically had two bikes I couldn't ride. I sold them both and bought something that worked, and while I sometimes miss the old bikes, I get a lot more riding done with the one I have now.

Shout out to the most criminally undersubscribed CZcamsr out there. Dude you’re amazing keep up all your hard work. If you’re anything like me, projects and life can really weigh you down and be exceptionally overwhelming. You made a really really good choice with the bus project.
I’m EXCEPTIONALLY ADHD, one thing that I’ve found that really helps keep stuff organized is small shelf’s that aren’t too deep and square Uline square wide mouth plastic jars. If you keep way more organizational bins and stuff around then you need your brain will thank you. Eventually just use them as a force of habit. One thing I have just found out about is ULINE sliding storage shelf units. I swear I am not a salesperson for them.
Also: as an electrician I have to tell you to strap all your armoured cable within 12” of your junction boxes or panel boards and you must leave at minimum 6” of conductor in your boxes.
You’re awesome man keep up the good work.

The downfall of this project, in MY opinion, was your decision to take all the strengthening ribbing and rivets out of the walls and replace perfectly good walls with your flat panels. I think the excessive work involved in something that brings so little return failed this. I'd slit my wrists before being able to go through that again o the other side.

Smoothing the sides was a massive time sink that was never completed and did absolutely nothing to further the end goal of making a vehicle hauler/RV.
