- Sewing tutorial for our custom vinyl/leather "Strap connector tabs" for webbing bag straps.
These make any bag look custom and give it a great point of difference. This is the 'Strap' portion from the Lil Mumma bag tutorial condensed.
For full PDF pattern, instructions, template and cutting files see etsy.me/40MhL9L
Materials 150cm (60") webbing
2 Strap connectors (choose your size form the templates included)
2 swivel clips (1 or 2 size less than your webbing and to suit the connector size you want to make)
1 rectangle ring (the same size as you webbing)
1 slide adjuster (the same size as you webbing)
Rivets if desired.
We love these strap options and they save so much money on vinyl alternatives.

Thank you so helpful and easy to follow. 😘
Is there any advantage to your two piece strap over a one piece strap? What length of total strapping do you recommend using? Thank you for teaching me something new and useful. BTW, I make leather bags and am trying to move away from leather straps.
Thanks. I use the two piece when I use strap connecters and want to add an adjuster if I'm making a fixed strap I just do one piece. I use a 60"/150cm strap length when doing a two piece for a cross body.
@@kiteco.creates Thank you very much.
Do you know if it is possible to replace the leather/vinyl pieces with some kind of fabric?
Unfortunately it's based on a raw edge. If you added a seam allowance around and turned it under it may work. Thanks
