At the recording of that video they were Dany (Guitar) 20, Pau (drums) 18 and Ale (bass) 15. All 3 had birthdays since then (Dec.,Jan., and Feb.). Also, they are signed to the same label as Greta Van Fleet. :-)
Nice! This song is the 9th song in the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, a rather dark tale of obsession and murder. Definitely a hard rock sound reminiscent of the great rockers of the 70s and 80s. I would have hit the like button several more times just for your GVF comment. Thanks!
Reminiscent of classic 1970's and 1980's hard rock but not derivative. There are plenty of bands from that era, some still around, that I could see doing music like this, but it doesn't sound like anybody in particular. This is not by any means unrepresentative of their work, but it's pretty broad within the overall rock genre.
Love seeing the smile on Dave's face grow second by second as the song played out. This is a super solid rock song and kick butt performance.
Nice! Yes, an original song for their rock opera masterpiece Queen of the Murder Scene about unrequited love, obsession, murder, madness and suicide! This was done for the virtual (DE)Tour concert to raise money for small independent venues. Ringo Starr, Slash and Lzzy Hale headlined. TW were so inpressive that this was played twice! Lzzy Hale tweeted that she wanted to go on tour with them!

The Warning is a rock band from Monterrey, México formed in 2012 by three sisters. Daniela (guitar, lead vocals, piano, sax), Paulina (drums, vocals, piano), and Alejandra Villarreal (bass guitar, piano, backing vocals). They first gained attention for their 2014 cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" on their CZcams page, which has reached over 22 million views as of February 2021.
In 2015, The Warning raised enough money on GoFundMe to release an EP of six original songs, titled Escape the Mind. The popularity of The Warning's cover of Enter Sandman led to a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 24, 2015. In addition to their GoFundMe page, they received funding by The Ellen Show and Target in order to attend a 5-week long summer program at Berklee College of Music.
The video game Rock Band was a major influence in the trio's formation of the band, and two of their original songs are featured in the fourth game; a song from their EP, Free Falling, is featured in the video game Rock Band 4, and a song from their debut album, Survive, was released as a free downloadable song as a part of the "Rivals" expansion in 2016.
They performed at TEDx University of Nevada twice, first in January 2016 (after Berklee) and then January 2017 (after recording their debut Album), telling the story of their journey as a band of sisters in between songs.
The Warning began recording their debut album XXI Century Blood in 2016 at Sonic Ranch, and released in 2017. In that same year, they were also invited to open for legendary rock bands Aerosmith, Def Leppard, and Alice Cooper at the Mother of All rock festival at the Forum Arena Monterrey. Additionally, they also opened for The Killers at Arena Monterrey in April 2018.
The group announced in 2018 that they would be heading to Sphere Studios in Los Angeles to record their second studio album but ultimately, all of the album tracks were recorded at SOGA Studios in Jiutepec, Mexico. The album, titled Queen of the Murder Scene, was released on November 25, 2018. It achieved high showings in the iTunes and Amazon rock music charts for several weeks after release, despite it being independent. Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album; it tells the story of a woman who slips into psychosis due to unrequited love.
The single Narcisista debuted live and was released on June 14, 2019, marking it the band's first Spanish song.
The group announced on December 18, 2019 via their official CZcams channel that they would be conducting their first large scale tour of North America in 2020. The tour was supposed to comprise 23 concert dates, commence on March 14, 2020 in Mexico, make stops throughout the United States and Canada and finish up back in Mexico on May 2, 2020. The tour had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On August 9th 2020, the band announced through their Patreon community that they had signed a record deal with the American-based label, Lava Records.
They have finished their 3rd studio Album, produced by David Bendeth to be released in 2021.

I would recommend going through their albums chronologically to see their progress, but you can mix and match if you want, except for Queen Of The Murder Scene, which is a concept album, so I strongly recommend listening to these performances in order to fully appreciate the story.

The drummer, Paulina, is not singing the verses, she is just mouthing the words. She does that a lot. When there are technical problems Paulina will take right over singing. They are true pros already!

The future of rock ! And the proof was there back in 2014 when they exploded onto the world with their cover of Metallicas "Enter Sandman". Purely the best female rock band out there,and spot on about their label mates GVF (over-rated).

They really aren't derivative of anybody. They're their own band, on their own terms, which is why they didn't sign with a label until last fall; other labels wanted them to change their music, stage performance, and so forth. One of them made the mistake of asking whether they'd rather play for 12 people or 12000; Pau replied that they'd rather play what they want, dressed as they want, for 12 people than do something they didn't like for 12000. They had their cake and ate it too; they've played for at least a few festivals in Latin America with bigger crowds than that, including the Hell and Heaven festival. That festival's metal-oriented, and they aren't metal, but they drew 20000 fans with more flowing in as their set progressed.
Other than "rock" and "really, really good", it's a bit hard to say what's specific about their sound. I'd say that overall it's the three of them as a unit, which sounds simplistic but isn't always so easy to get right. Dany and Pau share the vocal leads (Ale's not comfortable at this time with singing leads, but she'll do it if need be to give Dany's voice a rest), with Dany having maybe 70% of them, and sometimes they share off leads in the same song if they consider it calls for that. The complex vocal interactions that Mark James mentioned might be one of their most recognizable characteristics. They don't tend to be too heavy on big solos; Dany does some on guitar, but they're done to advance the song, not show off. She has a short solo toward the end of The End that's extremely effective and I don't think I'm the only person who considers it one of her best. That probably came about as a consequence of being sisters in a very closely knit family, but they really are there for each other.
I could hug you for your initial post song statement! I know it's not a competition, and, believe it or not, GVF is a fellow band from the same label; Lava Records.
I'll leave those little boyz outta this for a minute and say that The Warning is ten times better than most of what's being presented to us lately; on the big stages anyway.
Please, please look deeper into The Warning. Their music is food for the rock'n'roll soul and, right now, nobody does it better.
I will ask you, and agree with you as well. These young women are bad ass rockers who are forging their own path instead of copying those who came before. Glad you dug this song, its a masterpiece in my opinion. 🤘🏻❤️

It almost always looks like the drummer is singing because even when she isn't, she is usually mouthing the words. I so agree with your comparison of them to that other band, except I think they may be more than ten times better. New sub.
Mark, In most songs you are actually correct, but on this one I noticed with the studio version that Pau is actually whispering the lines. In my car the voice comes from the rear speakers. I think that this has something to do with the Queen. Give it a try, play it loud (as you should) and you will notice it. I really like this detail.

Their vocal arrangements can be pretty complicated, and since their voices are not that different I often can’t pull them apart. Ale can also mimic the tone of either one of them if she wants, she’s not as strong a lead singer but is superb as backing.

GVF is a lot better on their new material, but I’m sure The Warning has also taken it up several notches on theirs-we can’t hear that yet but Dany’s voice in the recent mini covers is notably richer than last year. The pandemic has given them a LOT of time to rehearse, and they also got some new training from producer David Bendeth.
One advantage of being a family band living in the same house in this era...they can practice together in person all they want.
