You can react to Down which was released one month ago as a preview for this 20th anniversary album. TVXQ is the group that started the 2nd gen oh kpop and broke in the japanese market with BoA (they are also the first Koreans to perform at Tokyo Dome and Nissan Stadium). @@EddieHatesReactions It seems like a lot of the newer western fans don't know of them, but they were massive - guinness record book for biggest paid fanclub and most photographed celebrities in the world IIRC. You know, there's a chance that you've actually heard some of their music before without knowing it. TVXQ has music in one of the Fast and the Furious movies and the One Piece anime and BoA's (pronounced like the snake and known as the Queen of Kpop) Jpop songs in InuYasha and later Fairy Tail was the gateway to discovering Kpop for a lot of early western fans.
Oh us tvxq fans are chomping at the bit for people to discover them and learn about them. Ill definitely watch any reactions you do for them. You have so many great songs and mvs to experience. Like the other comment says, we're so happy to answer questions and watch along with you 😊 Keep Your Head Down, Catch Me, Something, and Spellbound are all top tier songs to check out. These are all duo songs. Anything you find before 2010 is from when they were a group of 5.
Thank u for your reaction. TVXQ! is my ultimate biase. FYI, TVXQ! is considered as the God of K-pop, the idol of idols, they saved the K-pop industry back then and marking the 2nd gen era. I sound biased I know, but u can always double check my words with the korean media record. 9 album is in korea alone, they do have japanese released too, many singles, they have like 800++ songs. I also recommend you see his solo works by Yunho and Changmin, they are incredible and very influenced by cinema, especially Yunho's solos like "Thak U" and the short film "Nexus" that he made to promote his album Reality Show
If you love cinematic masterpiece, you SHOULD check out and react to their solo works! U-know Yunho with his "Thank U" and "Nexus", and Max Changmin with his "Devil" and "Maniac".
U should try to react to their other song "Down" that they also release in this comeback & also check out their live performance ("Down" at MAMA 2023 & "rebel" at SBS stage) . Highly recommended that you check out this most recent album, 20&2, and then start diving into their past works.
No, you don't seem like a dumbass at the start. As a Cassie, it's always wonderful to see people unfamiliar with them watching/listening to them and being surprised about them. I'm glad you can appreciate TVXQ!'s comeback song for their 20th debut anniv. They are consistent in their musicality and passion for what they do. But also, their flavor as performers have always been being able to produce music that somewhat adapts to the trend, but still making the sound their own and not too "trendy" if that makes any sense. I understand TVXQ is not really for everyone, and they really do have a different sort of style about them compared to the most popular sounds these days. But anyone can really tell they have experience and a maturity that only comes with the ups and downs of the industry. They have been through a lot if you deep dive into their history. But all the members, including the previous 3, have always been skillful and passionate in their respective areas. Among the fans, it's a known story that they were initially formed with the idea that even if each member were with other groups, they can still lead and be the main.
