    With a little messing around, you can create the famous DX7 slap bass/fm bass sound

    Looks like a toy but you can make really surprising things with it. A gave mine to a friend that now is far, far away; and since then, from time to time, dream again with it. (It costed me about 300 € when € did not exist ... yesterday saw one in the second hand market 100 € -this makes me think about ... Thrills).

    I don't remember which preset was modified to get the sound. Unfortunately, I no longer have a PSS-680!

    Hello, and thank you.. The pedal in the pic is a Behringer reverb pedal, and is hooked up for my live setup. As far as I can remember I didn't actually have the pedal active during this demo, as I wanted to show the synth's true sounds. A couple of times my hand would go to it out of habit, lol.. The sound I believe you are referring to, with the very slow attack fading to FM noise, is dry and is made by the keyboard only! =)

    Hey nice vid! What pedal are you using in this vid? Does the pedal affect the preset that you use between 4-5:00? Thanks! :)

    What preset did you modify? Cause I'm interested on having this keyboard. Can you make another video of this making some cool synth lead that will fit pop and rock music. Thanks! :)

    If this thing had key-sensitivity it would have been comparable to pro keyboards, I think. Yeah tiny keys, but many pro synths now have tiny keys so they take up less studio space.

    can it connect to fruity loops as a midi?

    • @danieklerr
      @danieklerr  Před 3 lety

      Hello.. You can, yes. You have to have some sort of MIDI interface with a MIDI out port. If you have more questions, I'm glad to help you. Thanks for watching!

      @@danieklerr i have soundcard phonic , it have midi in and out... does midi out from this goes to soundcard in?

    • @danieklerr
      @danieklerr  Před 3 lety +1

      @@mymos2010 .. If you want FL to control this synth, go MIDI out from the soundcard to MIDI in on the keys, because you will be sending information to the PSS. Also, there is an editor for the PSS-480 in VST form that **may** work for your 680. Google "pss 480 ctrlr" to find it for free.
