The inclement weather has continued over the past couple of weeks since the last video of this series. We’ve experienced two large and very powerful storms with hurricane force wind gusts, warmer temps with torrential downpours of rain with several inches each storm. At this rate, no work on the tiny house was possible until we found a solution.
My wife, Susan, called around town seeking inside shop space we could rent in order to get the tiny house built to a point where it would be “dried in.” We found space available at a local boatyard shop only a few miles down the road. The space is well lit and heated, space was made available to us - open 24/7 so we can work whenever we wish and at a very affordable weekly rate.
This week’s video shows some progress at last! We installed the floor insulation, vapor barrier, sill seal, and started in on the plywood subfloor. We needed this! Our motivation is much greater now that we are showing greater progress on the build.
