Same sort of idea as on F1 cars that flash the rain light when off throttle as the hybrid system is recovering energy, same purpose to alert drivers behind to the deceleration.

Had this product and the Smart Turn System, which turns off your indicators automatically (as I have an older bike that hasn't got that OEM) for about a year and they both work brilliantly!

I'm usually skeptical of anything that has to do with "improving safety" because they're usually gimicks.
But this is good, I used to do the same thing, touch the brake enough to engage the light switch, this just takes it to another level and forces people behind you to actively notice the flashing red light in front of them.
Yeah man it's nuts. I get sent products every now and then but this one literally shits on all of them. It's pretty damn cool.
Especially when you smoke out your tail lenses.

Have been doing the intermittent double tap on the brake lever/pedal since my learner days over twenty years ago (had a fucking excellent instructor), though I doubt I get it done 100% right, 100% of the time.

I don't worry about cageres behind me, but this is great info for riding mates behind you. Pulsing shows the times when you are in decel - off the gas but not using the brakes.

Thats a really good product man. It makes sense really. Dunno why its not a mainstream factory thing for bikes. Not being surrounded by a metal cage like that of a car, yeah from behind its annoying but it does deffinately alert the person behind which is the goal really. You deffinately arent invisible. Thats the whole point really.

Mine flashes when i accelerate, and does nothing when i decelerate.. have tried tilting it but no difference. Did you have any issues at all?
Crash cage really sets the bike off, it look great.
I see to many cars that don’t listen to the car or bike in front, so they don’t pick up engine braking. Wonder if I can get this in my car

That's pretty sick! Some of the integrated tail lights strobe very quickly like the one on your R1 but that's only when you hop on the brakes. This is really good because if your brake light switches are faulty for any reason, it will still strobe the brake light (correct me if I'm wrong). My only niggle is if it strobed at a higher frequency because I usually tap the brake lights to get them to strobe so that people behind me are paying attention. That bike sounds so good, I was worried I was gonna get aroused :P.
Yeah I have the motodynamic brake light on my R1 with integrated indicators and strobe tail light but this module is next level!! Such a better idea!
Also, I'm recording audio on an external device for the ride ;)
Does it keeps blinking when on a full stop ? Or after turning on the bike? Great video btw
It only activates when you're slowing down. If you're stopped it's not activated.

Does the S2S Smart Brake Module make the brake light come on if you downshift a couple of gears to overtake another vehicle?
Depends how well you rev match. As you can see from the video it only activates when the vehicle is slowing down

Crash protection looks much better on the bike than it did out of the box.
I realise this also during the installation video that will come out in about 2 weeks time. Keep an eye out for it.
Actually ordered one of these the other day because they had 40% off, but now I'm reading that in Australia at least (I'm in NZ) these are non compliant
Strobing lights aren't allowed. The S2S does not strobe. That's the only compliance point that I'm aware of, unless you have other concerns?
My Smart Brake Module on my 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide Limited doesn't work

I recently received mine (V3).. and it is not as advertised, it only has a tilt switch instead of a IMU and algorithms that could stop it switching on just because you are going downhill.
Not very clever and definitely false advertising..
I could have built my own tilt switch version for less than £5.
Need to not mount it flat. Mount it at an angle so it only activates under aggressive engine braking. I found mine was activating way too often (including downhills). Need to tilt the unit backwards

THIS DOES NOT WORK AS DESCRIBED, FLASHES brake light when accelerating =, going over road bumps etc, no good. I had 2nd unit sent to me but it was the same, had to claim through paypal as they will not reply to my emails after 2nd module ws posted, AVOID ITS GARBAGE
Need to tilt the unit backwards Maybe 15 to 20 degrees. I agree, it's too sensitive but this solved the issue

Agree….same issues here! Also had issues with connectors … really cheap and unreliable.
Got a BrakeFree unit that goes on back of helmet…. Works great!

The new st2 modules don’t work. They are a scam and terrible.
