Bunny William is my all time favorite designer. I first learned about her through Ballard Design. From there I started reading about her, buying her books and watching her speak on CZcams at different events. I just think she was born to make a beautiful home. She is the reason I have started buying the design books and following other designers. Such a great review once again Mary and loved the drive.
She has so many beautiful things in Ballard Designs. Last year she had a trellis arbor that I wanted so badly for my roses. It was huge, but a little more than I could afford. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great day!

Bunny's style is effortless. What a beautiful book full of incredible things. Oak trees are very special. Since I live in the woods they multiply in our property. In early October I cut some branches from the small trees and make a wreath to decorate our front door. The leaves stay green for a very long time until I change decor for Advent. Oak leaves maintain a golden brown color all along for almost two months. Thank you Mary for this unexpected video and for such a beautiful ride to your Mom's house.

What a beautiful drive! I can tell by how you share your world with us you do realize how blessed you are to live there and to be a part of that world. It's the stuff dreams are made of. Thank you for all you share with us, I am truly blessed by these glimpses too. As for Bunny, I do admire her and all she has achieved. I love her taste. I have most of her books, and will have this one soon. But I'm too much of a realist to believe she can have so many homes, and occupations, and has so many places to be, seemingly all at once, to not be aware that "Bunny Williams" is a corporation of many, many people, of which she may be the head, but she is not the body, it's just not possible. There is not enough time in the day, or minutes in the hour to achieve it all without a huge measure of input and effort by collaborators. I know she's aware of that and I don't mean to imply she is trying to say she is anything that she is not. I don't mean that in a negative way. She is always crediting others. It's just an observation, and an admiration. In one sense, I'm sure there are so many like her in the world, but then again, there are so few who can achieve and maintain such status or position. It must be exhausting. I'm exhausted just trying to imagine it! I'm thankful, in this world, there are people who can create such inspiration. Thank you again for all you share with us!!
All great points. I recently watched a home tour on CZcams and the owner of the home said several times that she designed the house and built it; never giving credit to an architect or a construction company. I was a bit put off by that. Like you said, at least Bunny credits others.

Ok - while watching this one again (as I often do) I noticed Gibbs in o e of the family photos. Missed it the first time but back it up and there he was. THAT is too funny. We have gone through a few family photos and places Ariana Grandes face over one of our sons ex girlfriend’s face. Ariana is prettier than the ex anyway and she didn’t hurt our son. ❤️ Haha. Fun pics.
Yes- my mom has a thing for Gibbs and he shows up at many family gatherings...bathrooms, closets, in the driveway, on the boat. I also have a few pics with some faces covered. It's actually more therapeutic than discarding the original photos.

It's always disheartening to lose any tree, but an oak, a dogwood and a magnolia hold a special place in my heart. What happened, if you don't mind me asking?
@thetartantopiary We aren't sure...the scuttle is "oak borer" but not certified. My hubs bored the center out w/chisel, drill, etc &I planted 2 ferns in it...doubt they'll last 160+ years... I luv'd my oak...fmp
