I do not expect or ask for anyone to just Give Me Money. With that said I have been asked if there are ways to donate to me. So if you would like to help out in any way I have 3 ways set up. (Some prefer one over the other, the reason there is 3 ways)
Thank you đ

Most get mixed with other scraps for many scrappy quilts đ
Missed the live but watching replay.
Watching replay. I am in Houston and have been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. Had no internet or power since Monday. Power came on at 5:30pm on Wednesday. At one point there were over 2 million without power. For a cat 1 storm, it had wind gusts of a cat 2. It was bad doing without ac. Our upstairs was 94 degrees! Could not sleep or get comfortable but my family is all good. Glad to be among the living!
Glad to hear your safe and you have power to keep cool again.
Hi Y'all sorry I missed your live
Next time! đ
Stay well Tiffany and Scott! The heat there is horrid! Love watching your video's and watching Thumper playing with the wrappings! Looking forward to the next project! Love ya both from Texas!
Ya the heat here is no joke. It's a dry 121 out right now with a slight breeze that feels 120 đ đ€Ł đ
The green, orange, yellow combo could be a cool friendship star table runner ... add your magic!
Missed the live
I missed this morning as I was at dr. Appointment . Looks interesting .
Your "antelope" is a white tail deer, you have them in Maine. Clothing seams are made with wider seam allowances, because they are often under pressure. Quilting parches need less because they are not, are usually quilted in layers, no pressure on the seams.
Thanks for that đ

I worked as a sewist in a clothing factory. I started making quilts in the middle 90s. The industry standard for clothing is quarter inch seam allowance. When I bought my first quilt instruction book, the author insisted that all seam allowances be a half inch! The longer I persisted in making quilts, it became apparent that she had not left the clothing pattern demands behind her.
Clothing patterns instructions insist that we cut the pattern at 5/8ths inch seam allowance - - can't imagine why! What got me, when I started buying clothing patterns, I had to cut 5/8ths beyond the actual size, and then! I had to cut the seam down to - - I don't remember what size they wanted me to cut, according to the pattern. That sure seemed like a lot of work to throw fabric away. The 1/4 inch seam allowance finally took the lead in my brain.
Bottom line, I think: The big businesses just got greedy ... and, it didn't matter how they did it, but they convinced generations of sexists to waste fabric and time, UNTIL ... someone figured out what was actually needed to produce a useable, durable product for human use.
When I do sew clothes I use a quarter inch too. Or my serger which I think is just slightly above a quarter. I would go crazy with all the waste in old patterns đ
