God I loved this game back in the day. Some people have nostalgia for WoW, but my nostalgia is here. I'd love for the community to return.

I would love if they brought it back, it was easily my favorite FPS game back then due to its ridiculous mechanics that lead to hilarious outcomes. I hear most of the servers are just bots now, which is a crying shame.
I miss the f** servers that allowed double hopping and all of the random custom maps people made that would get crowded with 60 players. Good times.
This game was Awesome and it was FREE. I easily have 500 hours into it.
It's still alive lol, quite a bunch of servers that are often filled. Team Muppet and I belive S-A or something those are some good ones.

Hopefully they remade this game with modern graphics, but with exactly the same maps and playability as the original. It was a masterpiece.
they tried multiple times with ET2, Brink, and some other games. but they have just never been successful at replicating the style

The problem lies there.
They should have stuck to the original ET, exactly as it was, with same maps, etc, not new postmodernist scenarios.

Man this game is honestly way better than cod. Once you got your config all set up to run smooth, high fov, no blood spatter or bobbing. Man literally nothing compares to the gameplay. Used to be involved with weekly Friday and Sunday tournaments back in 2010-2011. I still dream about this game and it’s iconic voicelines

Such a fun game for the price ;p (free!). I’m so happy this came out on steam 3 weeks ago. I put windows on my Mac just so I could play this & I’ve played for 11 hours the last 2 days which is a lot for me. Even after almost 20 years this game still rocks. Cheers!
Played the shit out of this game back in the day. Community was awesome, gameplay was addicting, and best of all, zero microtransactions. It def needs a remaster but I'm sure they will fuck it up.
the mods in this game back in the day were great. miss the basketball map where you launch yourself through a giant hoop.

my first real online game, playing saturday morning on my mums pc while she was still asleep...the struggle to get double pistols before u got a disconnect or my mum woke up and i had to quit playing....such a great game....sadly still banned in Germany...such a joke....
I've played this game for about 15k-20k hours. If the game gets new players because of steam then it takes a long time for them to catch up tbh.
This is so cool me and my dad used to play this back in the day and damn that I need a medic gave me chills I’m so glad they rereleased it on steam I’m so happy to see it’s still got a fan base ❤

Can't say why this was the only multiplayer game i was somewhat good at.
I tried playing contemporary battlefield games, and planet side and whatnot.... Just don't get it. I suck hugely at those.
But enemy territory? God damn that was some real fun

holy shit the sfx alone are a goddamn time machine for me. My long time friend and i still yell MEDIC to each other for no reason. Anyone remember party panzers? We'd constantly crash the server that he ran on a PIII with almost none ram.
serisously, other than the janky-ass mods, this game is one of the best. Perfect blend of chaos and skill. im glad its still around

You guys ever play "Urban Terror" for Quake 3? It was like a total conversion MOD, good guys vs bad guys, similar to Enemy Territory but much earlier.
For a MOD it was pretty refined, benefitted from the awesome fluidity of Q3A engine and was fairly populated. I played it for a while, whenever I got bored of 1v1 Q3 OSP.
I didn't play ET at all, but I remember hearing good things. I think by the time RTCW came out I was basically full time 1v1 and 4v4 Eurocup Quake 3.
This one is one of my favourite games ever. I played it extensively in 2003-2006. Lately i have been trying to get back into it a bit. Its quite fun actually the game has changed so much with ET legacy and many mods and lastly a lot of new quite good maps made by modders that are great and have a lot of the same feeling and vibe of the old style six map campaign.
I live this game to the bone. I remember playing it when everyone else has been playing Cs. I could not convince them to stick with this as mechanics were to complicated for some. Wish they could refresh it to new standards without quality loss.

Oasis, Venice, Gold Rush , Caen 2 were one of the best maps in the circulation lol, Radar_night, radar_summer, railgun, depot.

Bots, look at 0:48 and you will see the screen where players pings are at 0, meaning bots
I didn't play ET nearly as much as the original, nevertheless this brought back so many memories!
When resolution is too much, the lack of detail shows. However, this seems to be a customization of Unreal Tournament.
Wolfenstein ET never died to my knowledge. The Samuel L Jackson V Commands were the best. Former F/A Nocell here.

I am happy to see this video because I always join the jump around and do nothing else than do meta-strats. I hate that. Same with Medal of Honor Allied Assault which is also destroyed by bunny hoppers with M1 Garand or G43 players.
