Imagine if he never did another album where would hip hop be today? No East coast beef with Nas, no Kanye, no Rihanna, no J.cole, no lil wayne, no drake.
i dont think any of that is true. those things woul've been different, but to say they wouldnt exist (besides the beef) thats just silly and gives 0 credit to anyone you mentioned. Rihanna was gonna be a star. J Cole didn't only look up to Jay Z & they arent even on the best terms. Wayne came out damn near right after Hov. Kanye I wont speak for but I cant imagine he wouldnt have been somebody with the level of determination he had. thats just silly.
What does Lil Wayne and Drake success have to do with Jay-Z? Wayne was rappin since he was 11, and didn't cross paths with Jay til WAY later in his career.
Seven straight Summers, critics might not admit it but NOBODY IN RAP DID IT, QUITE LIKE I DID IT If you did it, I DONE IT BEFORE, you get it, I HAD IT Got MAD AT IT and don't want it no more And that goes for everything from flippin' that raw Flippin' whores, flippin' vocal chords, don't get it twisted Get it right, did different, did it better, did it NICE Did the impossible then did it TWICE (GET it RIGHT)
@@silentambition2080he ain’t have 7 straight summers bro 96 was pac 97 was biggie 98 was dmx yeah jay z blew up in 98 but he was never the biggest rapper in any era 7 summers lmfao 😂
@jonathancoleman6482 so why we still talking about him? I said that 2 weeks ago we ( Still) Trying proof something from 97? Right, like a lot of folks really don't know or underestimate Jay and Biggie's relationship. They were real tight. Jay was the ONLY person outside of Biggie's immediate circle that he gave a shoutout to on his last interview with Rap City

munchman he got more personal on vol 1 songs like you must love me lucky me where I’m from streets is watching. Reasonable doubt is just a mafioso album talking about selling drugs drinking crystal driving Lexus even the album cover he was tryna be like The Godfather
Nuno Cruz yea but the bigger part of the album is way more personal than the bigger portion of RD. It’s just as he says it is; a way more personal album
This is probably the biggest lie JayZ ever told cause he’s said this for over 20 years. U been rapping all your life just to finally put out 1 album then quit?? Nigga was lying to himself to protect himself from rejection

In a parallel universe we've heard of none of them cuz Hov retired
Wat u talking about it was a lil Wayne at this time anyway silly
Wayne was out at that time

Volume 1 was such an underrated album. Obviously Reasonable Doubt was his best but Vol 1 Blueprint 1 and The Black Album all are incredible
Lucky me Is one of the greatest jay track imo
I agree. 🤷🏾♂️

I ain't mad at ya. Full lips are sexy!
He does have nice lips to me he is good looking but everyone else has different opinions ❤

Fam if he not the greatest mc then who is
He was feeling sad at the time biggie dying and lots of other things you can hear it in this interview he sounds sad

I love vol 1 but BS is that a more personal album than reasonable doubt. He wanted more record sales and that's what happened
