I love how in this episode they joke about needing a sentimental sketch like Blackadders farewell and in the very next episode they end the series with that heart wrenching sherlock holmes sketch. I see what you did there.
I'm so sad that James had to die.. And it didn't even stop that bastard from splitting the screen and going on about Shooting Stars. The BBC has lost all heart.
Yes, in fact, as I speak to you from the year 2022, the flesh eating "them" are outside my door right now. They used to be one of us, until they got the anti-viral jab during the 2020 pandemic and suffered unexpected side-affects....
The "UP YOURS" sketches are great, but really illustrate why we should have way more societal supports for new parents. Combine an ultra-vulnerable newborn with parents tortured by sleep deprivation, and it's a wonder anyone makes it through. "It takes a village" isn't just a pat saying.
Sometimes predictability can work in favor of a joke. Just look at the brain surgeon sketch. You see the punchline coming a mile away, but that just makes it even funnier.
"Well, looks like the last series, we should probably go out on something memorable." "Hey, maybe we should do a Blackadder, just something really heart-wrenching?" "It should be something with Sherlock Holmes and Watson, David and Rob fit those roles really well." "What if an old Holmes has alzheimer's and Watson was forced to go along with his delusions?" "It's perfect!" "I don't know though. Isn't it all a bit forced? I mean Blackadder actually had something to say about WWI and the genuine horror of the all the eras they made fun of, we're not really saying anything other than 'fuck alzheimer's'" "Hm..."
@janeeyre1990 Do you have kids? I have just had a baby with my wife and seeing the change in our relationship charicatuerised like that I think is hilarious.
Am I the only one that finds this series progressiely disappointing? Easy laughs and ever-cheapening sketches that eschew the intelligence that used to make the show what it is; perhaps it *is* just me, but it really feels like ther's been a massive drop in quality, and something of a betrayal of sophistication

The BBC has lost all heart.

Love how you included the person introducing the next show over the credits

There the only sketches I dislike, so true
"Shit..youuuu"..Must..remember..that..one..Brilliant.
Voltage calmed. Yes.
I actually like the Henimore sketchs... they are predictable but in a classic way :)
On an unrelated note..
Sometimes predictability can work in favor of a joke. Just look at the brain surgeon sketch. You see the punchline coming a mile away, but that just makes it even funnier.
a good ol' flashback to padlocki gami. the best art there is.
Ugh this is so good!
love how the BBC women still tells you what's coming up next despite the tragic ending :L
These comment boards are amazing...but thank you very much for putting up this show.
RIP Jimmy

Look at the quality of that extravagant fairy! HENNIMORE!
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! THE ANNOUNCER AT THE END RUINED THE MOMENT!!!!!!!!!!
The Up Yours sketch is alot like John and Mary in Father Ted
Lol
Yes, very similar.
Aw, they didn't include James' tour de force in his montage: Touching Cloth.
Yes!
The Quiz broadcast is always funny though :P
This is definitely one of the best episodes from series 4 so far, but I do hate the "Up Yours" sketches.
UP YOURS!
Agree, they are definitely below the usual good standard of Mitchell and Webb
It's funnier if you know that Rob and Abi are married.
Lmao! XD The viccar screaming 'UP YOURS!' was hillarious.
HEENNNNIIIIIMOOOORREEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!
Woodchipper😂😂
My Dad, the comedian
My Dad literally gave me a woodchipper for my birthday right before he went to Heaven. I won't say what he told me to do with it....
UP YOURS!!!!!!!!
...I suddenly realize I had thought several of Jim's characters were David's.
UP YOURS!!!
I used to love the Quiz Broadcast, but I hate how hopeless they got at this point...
@TheJewelWonder
That is indeed their daughter.
DARA OBRIEN IN MOCK THE EVENT!!!
Sheila opens her eyes at 6:34
We're all going to die!!!
Damn They Shot Sheila ! lmao !
IT WAS ONLY A JOKE !!!!
HAHAHHAHA
I want to double like this Hennimore
What's the name of the music piece at the last Sketch?
6 years late but whatever, its Adagio in G Minor by Albinoni.
Nooo not James!!!!!
It is their child. David said they used their baby in a few sketches and I reckin it's this one.
Their?
Shush
noooooo they killed james!
Not James...... Why James?!?!?!
@janeeyre1990 i love them, i could watch them all day so..... UP YOURRRSSS!!!!!!!!!!
SOD CANCER!
@EatMyRice18: Yeah, and I bet he'd be one of "Them"! :P
Just tell me that's not their actual child.
The laugh track is so overdone
So the event is corona??
they used to be us,
I dunno if it's down to which strain you get, but when I had it I didn't feast on human flesh. Only fruit pastels.

I still don't really understand the quiz broadcast jokes. I don't find them particularly funny either. Other than those, I loved the new series.
Clearly it was meant for the people watching in 2020.
It's the. F U T U R E. H U M O U R. It's randomly generated
@janeeyre1990 I don't. They make me so happy not to have kids. XD
SOD CANCER
but bad unfortunately
