iKON gone wild in 2018. Love Scenario sweeped all the existed awards and was so popular that SK government had to ban it from schools during the examination period (the last song that did something like that was Ring Ding Dong WAY back in 2009👀). and Killing Me just literally killed the half of the fandom. it wasn't as mad-wide as Love Scenario, tho it still brought a lot of attention to iKON. tbh these two are one of the best K-pop songs i've ever heard, i'm so proud of having iKON in our lives. they made some of the greatest hits at the time
Because they're more famous for their hip-hop vibe and the strength of their rappers I feel like iKON might be the most underrated vocal group I can think of in Kpop ever. I agree with the people who suggest the Killing Voice performance, it's really great and shows their talents and can give a sampler of some of their songs.
One thing I love the most is how mature a lot of the lyrics in their songs, especially their breakup songs, are. I'm so used to things basically being "We broke up and now I'm sad", but I love how iKON's take is usually "We broke up and it's sad, but we forever changed each others lives for the better through loving each other". There's always an insightful feeling to their serious songs, and a super not insightful feeling to their hype songs haha. I think Goodbye Road is one of the most beautiful Kpop songs ever, and I'm Okay is one of the most real and raw ones.
iKON are among the best live performers, it's a blast to watch their live performances. It was a real shame that Kingdom couldn't have had a live audience because that's where they're at their best. They aren't as flashy as other groups but they make that exciting connection with a live crowd, so some of that iKON spark is missing from Kingdom. But they have incredible personalities, I stand by iKON TV being the best Kpop group show ever, it was so much fun.
Don't worry about the song selections. I actually love iKon's sad bops.
Love scenario is the prettiest breakup song to ever exist. Makes my heart warm and comforted, and then we have Killing Me and WWW😂😂😂
I became a fan after watching Kingdom! They're very appealing, bringing their own flavor. They're supposed to tour later this year, fingers crossed I can get to a show! You'll get a great additional intro in Kingdom, but don't miss out on their Killing Voice, it's really fun and impressive!
yeah a good point is that the four songs you did pick are definitely in their slower more mid-tempo catalogue (goodbye road is slower however), some of their songs like rhythm ta, b-day, dive and my type show off some of their more upbeat energy. they're a very hip-hop, performance-based, high energy group but they also focus a lot on the lyrics, hence a lot of the songs being very emotional and genuine. one thing to note is that when it comes to performances they really don't take themselves too seriously when it comes to very closely following choreo all the way through the performance or sticking to very specific positions, they have fun on the stage and put on a great high-energy performance.
sinosijak is a fantastic song for their super high energy stuff, but it doesn't have any music video, so the live performances are really the only way to see this.
You should definitely check out their older stuff to get a taste of the harder hitting rebellious feel you were talking about. I'd recommend Rhythm Ta, B-Day and Bling Bling.
I'd recommend some of their earlier stuff if you want some harder songs, for example: Dumb And Dumber, Rhythm Ta, and Bling Bling.
A lot different than their recent stuff
Seeing them live in these same songs will give you another and better perspective on them.
I feel like anyone who's ever listened to kpop has heard love scenario in some way lol. I didn't realize i knew any of their songs until i went to get to know them for kingdom too

It became such of a big anthem that even pre-schoolers and kids sang this song every where in Korean
Ju-ne is the one with the pink hair in Love Scenario whose voice you liked in Why Why Why. The guy whose voice you said you thought was pretty and powerful in Love Scenario was DK. The guy with green hair in Killing Me was Jay. The chill voice guy you liked in Killing Me was Bobby. Why Why Why and But You were done after B.I., one of their rappers left. He has solo music now that I would suggest checking out. The other members I didn't mention were Song, the blonde in Why Why Why, and Chan (one you pointed out in But You liking his voice). I highly recommend Dive (amazing instrumental), and B-Day (more hard hitting). I personally actually like their more recent stuff.
Love Scenario is one of the few songs every K-pop fan should know.

I scrolled the comments and didn't see anyone say it, but IKON has recently left YG. They left in good terms and acquired the right to the name in the same way GOT7 did with JYP.
B.I. is now a former member and a very successful soloist, definitely worth checking him out if you haven't already(i dont remember if you have).. BOBBY the main/lead rapper is also a very successful soloist on the side of IKON. He just released his first official single album titled S.I.R.. it has 2 songs both are absolutely phenomenal and um quite sexy 🥵🥵

All members of ikon actually can sing well including their rapper bobby and also their ex-leader BI. Each of them have a very unique voice. They are very versatile group and i don't know why they are not so popular like other group. Their song all so good. Their ex leader BI are genius producer and it's kinda sad when he left. I went to their concert before and their live performance are so good. June and dk voice so slaying
When you started questioning hearing Love Scenario, I chucked because it's Shinee's Ring Ding Dong effect; although you may not have known the group when you heard the song, you definitely heard the song somewhere. It was everywhere for a hot minute lol
You know Love Scenario not because of any cover but because it went viral worldwide and got the most PAK in Korea's history (at that time in 2018). The song even got its own dance for Fortnite

I've become a fan of theirs through kingdom! I think you've chosen great songs but iKON is known as a hiphop group so you should also listen to rhythm ta, sinosijak, bling bling, bday or dragon. They have the song freedom which is kinda into the rock vibe. They're discography is amazing and they do a variety of genres! Their vocals too are distinct and beautiful. It's quite funny that you've probably said "i like his voice" at one point to all of the members. Please do explore them more and thank you for reacting to them!!! ♥️

In Why Why Why, member B.I. left before. The song symbolizes a new beginning for them. First comeback without him
I mean in a way its good you reacted to similar tone from them it just means they got u to come back for more :) Something with Ikon that i do like and admire is that all 4 were kinda this heartbreak songs, yet they were all different production and expressed different stand points of why a relationship ended and emotions one could feel.
I never deep dove into getting into ikon i just have loved what I've heard over time. I wonder because B.I left 1 of 2 rappers their songs end up less rap heavy so they arent doing the hip hop vibes like when they first started. Some songs i recommend is Bling Bling, Rhythm Ta, B-Day(my fave),and Dumb and Dumber. B-day is really clever lol actually because i read a comment under the video it was released on national bee day lol
I wouldn't describe ikon as maybe aggressive, but unbashfully themselves which i think gives them this charismatic confidence edge 🥰🥰💖💖

I also love Flower, My type and Airplane but they're not exactly upbeat 😅 My type, Airplane, Anthem and Rhythm Ta are more hiphop and quite different from these songs, and Bling bling is one of their more upbeat songs. iKON are criminally underrated and would have been huge if not for the "scandal" with former leader BI (marijuana). WhyWhyWhy and their other song Flower are communications with BI after he left the group (he has several solo songs referring to himself as a flower). The bus burning is reference to their debut stage where they rode in on a school bus as 7 members.
BI is doing great now btw and is an amazing songwriter/producer/performer :)

iKON do have that strong & aggressive image even though they had tons of breakup song😂 btw the one that you always mention that had pink hair in Love scenario, the raspy one in Killing me, the one you took a screenshot on why why why, and the one that had a red hair in but you are the same person. His name is Junhoe/Ju-ne, he's a main vocalist. He had a powerful husky voice, and is a great rock voice. And also the one who raps in but you is Bobby, he just had a comeback last month, and is such a talented rapper.
And yes you're right, they're really are a great performer on concert or live stage. Some recommendations for their hype & other type of songs:
- Rhythm ta (would suggest the rock ver. video from their concert)
- Bling bling (heavy hip-hop)
- B-day (party song)
- Apology (a bit bandy I guess)
- I'm ok (also bandy)

I've been Iconic for 5 years now, but I never noticed how the titles' mv and lyrics really tell us a story! this was beautiful, so proud to stan them
Oh you actually reacted to 2 songs they perform on Kingdom , so I believe the only one left is Rhythm Ta! Love Scenario is my ALL TIME FAVE and it actually got banned in schools because the kiddos wouldn't stop singing it and it was disrupting lessons lol. Why Why Why and But You are also up there with Love Scenario and I do REALLY like Killing Me. Their earlier style is definitely more hip-hop and not really my style but I love them anyway because I was with them on their journey through Who Is Next? and Mix and Match (survival shows). DK is my bias and the one you mentioned liking his voice/singing in Love Scenario and Killing Me. The one you thought was the face of the group in Love Scenario is June and he's the one with the raspy voice. The one you said has a chill voice in Killing Me was actually Bobby, the rapper. Jinhwan is the one you said looked sassy in But You (and he is very sassy), and the one who you said you liked their voice and he was handsome in But You is Chanwoo. B.I. is the member that left and was the other rapper. You also liked Song at one point but I can't remember when you pointed him out lol.
For stuff to give you a different feel I'd definitely recommend Dumb and Dumber 'cause the MV is funny, and then anything like Rhythm Ta, Bling Bling, Airplane, and My Type. I don't like those songs personally but it gives you an idea of how they've developed their sound and their range as artists. Good Bye Road, Apology (my favorite of their earlier MVs), and I'm Ok are the same feel as these four except slower. Sorry for the long comment I just really love them!

if you want to hear ikon with a rock vibe i highly recommend freedom. it's a b-side but there are a few live performances for it, the inkigayo and continue tour encore in seoul performances are really good quality

Tbh Kingdom didn't really show iKON in their best form because around that time it was a very tumultuous period mentally for them. There's a reason why every group was scared and has huge respect for them. You will see that in Kingdom. If you want to see iKON in their best form on survivals tho their previous ones were iconic, WIN, Mix&Match, SMTM 3 (Bobby) has some of the rawest preparations and performances that made history from them. Plus, iKON is more of a live audience group. They also stand out for their crowd control, live vocals and energy live. You're right about the raspiness and power in their vocals and rebellious/rocker energy. iKON is actually more known for hype and can naturally pull off rock-type song (I would recommend Junhoe & Bobby's Deep Night live especially for you). They're vocals can also be very soulful (Just Go live). They are a very versatile group.
Bobby, the main rapper with the rocker-type "chill/swag" voice, just made a comeback recently. I hope you can do a reaction for both Cherry Blossom and Drowning (these are more rap-singing this time. totally different styles). Bobby and iKON always comes up with a new sound with every release. As a self-produced group they are very independent and loves being creative. They just left YG for more artistic growth and the members are broadening their horizons/fields. They are doing lots of new things this year including a world tour for the first time. 🥰

Don't mean to spam you, but for more aggressive, as mentioned below, check out the following: Dumb and Dumber, Rhythm Ta, Bling Bling and Birthday. Also check out Bobby's U Mad, Hol Up, Cherry Blossom, and Drowning. You can also check out there Killing Verse which has samples of their popular songs. However, you are truly in for a treat if you check them out. They are so good--I also think this is the Hip Hop side you're looking for. Also the singer in the group that you like is DK--he goes from short hair in Love Scenario to blond long hair in But You. Lastly, if there is ever a concert in your area or state --Go, Go, Go, Go.....you will not be disappointed.

I would say if you want to listen or react to songs that will kick you in the face lol, then I recommend Rhythm ta, bling bling, sinosijak, and birthday. There’s also a rock one that is freedom. React to them live because they’re a different beast when you see them live on stage that even from the screen you’ll feel the energy and enjoyment exploding from them. Their stage presence is out of this world.

Thanks for your review of iKON. I enjoyed it. I discovered iKON 2 years ago and have never looked back--they are so good and versed in their music. If you want aggressive you need to watch their MVs Dumb and Dumber, Bling Bling, Rhythm Ta, Birthday, or check their main rapper Bobby's MVs U Mad, How Up and although he's not longer with iKON B.I and Bobby's rap Anthem. Bobby also just released Cherry Blossom and Drowning. iKON's song Dragon is also aggressive. Their song But You has that nostalgic vibe that I love. iKON can make anything sound good.
The guy in green hair (Jay) was the guy in I'm OK m/v that you called beautiful.
Any time I hear Why Why Why I think first how much I love that song (it's actually really sad tied into everything they were going through at the time), but second I think of this czcams.com/video/esbQI-5Qkrk/video.html ... it's a live version and it's chaotic and hilarious. Can you please react to forestella they’re a crossover vocal quartet. Their harmonies is something else. They’re in the same label with A.C.E. They’ve covered a lot of songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, shape of you, sweet dreams, my favorite things, warriors , champions , smooth criminal (they have a live stage on their official channel) and more.
I recommend their songs (have mv) save our lives (part 1) and utopia (part 2).

I have no idea if anyone covered it but Love Scenario was literally EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE in 2018/2019. It was song of the year and went super viral. They had to ban it in schools because students were singing it in school so much it got disruptive lol. I think it's one of the more wholesome break up songs. We break up but you still molded me and changed me for the better. The leader B.I. was the creative center of the group until his departure but Bobby and DK also write/wrote a ton for the group. B.I is solo now at his own label (his music there so far has been INCREDIBLE and has owned my playlist the last two comebacks). Bobby won the first season of show me the money and B.I. went super far so their hiphop street cred is pretty immense for idols.
Green hair in killing me is Jay, he's the leader now. The red haired one from love scenario is Ju ne he has black hair and the checkered glove (raspy tone) in killing me. lol I'm probably getting ahead of myself because I know you have made a couple videos and I'm only at the second song.😅😅

Favorite iKON songs? Probably everyone of them. I think the only song of their that is performed on Kingdom that you didn't react to is Rhythm Ta (this is likely what you thought their songs would be like). B.I did like almost all of the song writing till he left so maybe he wasn't great at relationships (ha, that was a joke). I will say that what you will notice about them is how chill they are when performing. I think they show the other groups how to have fun when you perform. Hope you enjoy Kingdom

i'm so happy that you finally reacted to iKON. they were my favorite group for a long time, while i was living in Japan. then after what happened with B.I (he was the leader and main composer) I was so sad that it took me a while to be able to listen to them again. your video is healing for me too. btw B.I has a solo career now which is awesome, if you want to listen to it later. bobby, the other rapper, also has a solo career, and he was the winner of "show me the money", a well known rap competition in korea. my bias was june, singer with a raspy voice that you said. i'll give you my iKON recommendations:
