    The ink is not actually dry. This is plastisol ink for fabrics so it never dries until heat cured. It can get a little pasty or semi cured when using a flash cure during printing like with some of the screens seen here. The ink is removed with an eco friendly solvent made for plastisol inks. But a lot of it can be wiped off with just a rag before applying any solvents. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    It can. Imagine doing this all day. Some shops have enough work and screens to keep you very busy just doing this! Thanks for the comment!

    @Porto2192 You can leave the stencil in the screen mesh for quite some time. As long as you don't cause “screen lock" by using non-compatible chemicals or under exposing emulsion you should be fine. I leave stencils in the mesh for months or even years and then I can reclaim them. As long as the emulsion doesn't permanently harden it should be able to come out with emulsion remover. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

    Yes, paper towels. I have to still work out a better rag option for my shop. Currently I use very cheap paper towels to clean and work. The ink has to be removed before reclaiming. In this video I show that part because most of the time that is how screens will sit for reclaiming. The tape and ink need to be removed first. Then a solvent is used to finish up removing ink. Then you can reclaim, so 25 minutes includes all that for 6 screens. Thanks for watching!

    6 screens in 25 minutes is pretty darn good. But what was with the paper towels in the beginning? I have seen all your other videos and I dont recall seeing you use paper towels before... It looked liked you were removing the ink???

    Remember, I have been doing this for a long time and I have all the tools and space I need to do it. But it is possible to commercially screen print in a home garage. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  Před 8 lety

      +franchisejr15 Yeah if I'm going to reuse the screen I'll clean it with rags and ink solvent. But if you want to reclaim then you can use ink wash and the hose to clean the ink off and go directly to reclaiming the emulsion. Thanks for watching.
