I just started the prep work for this today. I found that using one of the sides from a panel removal tool let me get behind that material and pull it out from the edges without leaving any stuck in the cracks. Getting the adhesive off is proving to be very difficult
Great tip. I used the putty scraper and it didn’t leave much behind either. The adhesive is very difficult to get off. It is definitely time consuming. However it will look amazing when your done. Good luck with your project!
Hi. I used the silicone it came with for one side. On the other side I used a silicone called The Right Stuff. It is an engine silicone. I’m not sure if it should be used on door panels, but both are silicones. The Right Stuff has never let me down. I have used it for many things besides engines.
