Andy said that the room at your hotel has typical small town decor - dark and dingy. We were lucky on our trip to Yosemite as we were just driving out and there was a baby bear running alongside the road with its very big mummy chasing him. Needless to say we didn’t stop as were told mummy bears can be very aggressive
It’s always worth the extra money to actually stay in the park instead of driving in and out each day. And being in the park at night is a wonderful experience.
You need to take a black light with you to check for blood stains on the bed! 😳 That room looks straight out of Supernatural!
Just did this exact same journey from SF to Yosemite and couldn't believe the scenery ! Was great to reminisce watching this and can't wait to see what's still to come !
I am quite surprised you did not ask for a different room at The Cedar Point motel. That room was grim… it served its purpose! Loving the road trip!! ❤❤❤
I love oakhurst , we always stayed there it was fabulous. It was a one horse town when we stayed there! Okeefs was fantastic for food ! We always came in a via the most scenic route from San Fran ! We’d come through Yosemite and wonder around and then spend the night in oakhurst on our way down to Anaheim ! Great vlog x
My Grandparents lived in Oakhurst. We would go to Yosemite whenever we visited them. Brings back memories.

OMG guys. You passed my door. HWY 580 goes right passed Pleasanton and my house is about 250 yards from the freeway. Livermore (where you stopped for gas and Panera) is the next town over. After you came over the Altamont pass (with all the wind turbines) the flat land was the Central Valley which is all farmland (irrigated) that grows over 25% of all of the USA veg. Orchards are almonds and other nuts, and some citrus.
So great to watch this vlog as I did that drive from SF through maripossa to cedar lodge . I liked staying at this lodge but remember it was very dingy.Fond memories of my California trip in 2018 🇬🇧

So fun seeing you two explore in my backyard. I am so impressed with how you get around so easily. I was in the city today helping my daughter and I asked if she knew the meaning of Coit Tower (she lives in SF) and she told me that it’s a look out. WELL, since I watched your video I was able to tell her that it’s a monument to firefighters. It was so funny that I knew something that she didn’t because of Leigh and Nick from the UK 🥰
Beautiful scenery on your drive up to Yosetime...watch out for the black bears on your way...we can't wait for you to get to Vegas, Park MGM a great choice, a new pedestrian bridge right outside the hotel, with Dennys, the ABC store, Marshalls and Target across the road, all worth a look at. Enjoy your road trip and thanx again for showing us.
OMG we stayed at Cedar Lodge back in the 90’s think it was the same decor then 😂 We also saw it on Americas most wanted once as someone that worked there was known as the Yosemite Serial Killer !!

Most stores have delivery service or we use grocery delivery apps like Instacart which offers delivery from most grocery shops
I've just started watching this vlog. When you said that about your mom fretting about the rocks sticking out on those curves, it reminded me of my childhood. I had to stop and comment because East Tennessee has curves with rocks sticking out where they had cut the road out of the side of the mountain like that, except East Tennessee is a whole lot greener. We used to go to the lake and the roads on the way had drop offs. My mom would lean toward the middle of the car and tell all the kids to stay away from the doors. It made me laugh. 😃
I believe if my Bay Area compass is correct you were driving on the San Mateo bridge were you on the 92 interstate? Livermore is just about 25 mins from my city. I hope you enjoyed California as much as I love enjoy calling it home .

I will say the lighting in the hotel room made it look like something from a David Lynch movie. At least they had a couple of Ansel Adams prints on the wall - when I visited Yosemite 32 years ago I bought one of the posters and have it framed and hanging on a wall in my condo. I could sense you were happier with your meal at Panera bread then you were at the restaurant at the hotel.

Hey guys. My wife and i are watching your Yosemite vlog and interesting tid bit. This place was the location of a triple homicide back in 1999. The motel handyman murdered a mother, daughter and daughter's friend. What a coincidence!

We stopped in Mariposa in 2019, loved it. You also missed a great outlet at Livermore.
Great videos. Just a tip. Next time you stop at Walmart, or a grocery store, go to the baby department and buy some baby wipes. They work great in the car to wipe hands on the go. Most come in a flip-top box to stay fresh. They should last an entire trip. Can you tell I'm a mom.....lol.
I do that too even though my kids are all grown up. Make up artists have said they use it to remove make up because it works & much cheaper.

I always , admire people who can drive abroad . We do Florida driving but not sure I could do something like this . Scenery looks gorgeous, and room at Yosemite looks scary . 😩 shame about the food too, but at least you are not the food ! For the bear that is ! 😂

Loving your travels. We've just had our Orlando holiday cancelled for second time. First COVID now Virgin has cancelled all flights from Scotland April -June, decided not meant to be!
Walmart deliver, either from the store on the same day or 1 day delivery via FedEx or UPS. We're really quite sophisticated these days. 😅

America is full of home delivery. Everything can be delivered to us. All grocery stores, restaurants.
We stayed in the same hotel, I thought it looked familiar!
Didn’t finish my comment. Sometimes you find a place you wish you never went to. We stopped at a stand alone Mexican restaurant somewhere by where you went and it was great. I love these travel vlogs, always checking to see if you’ve posted again.

You can gat delivery but it’s not that popular. Amazon is but not Amazon food. Depends where you live in US for the Amazon food delivery. We go shopping for food lol
The comments about the Cedar Lodge on Trip Advisor are pretty grim.
There was some beautiful scenery there on your road trip,at one point I could envisage 'Dorothy from The wizard of oz ' in one of those farm houses on the road side..I have to confess I pronounced 'YOSEMITE' the same as Mark 🙈 but now I know how to pronounce it properly! Guys, why do you stay at the dregs of hotels? We have some gorgeous hotels in America. You could easily stay even at a Marriott which is not terribly expensive but a much better hotel chain.
We stayed at Marriots and Sheratons and things like that on this trip. Nice to try other chains etc. also. We tried a variety on this trip
The resort was probably fabulous in the 50’s and 60’s but now…. Yikes
See from comments that could have ghost there. If you ever confronted by a bear don't run because they will see you as prey. Hope you didn't have nightmares there.✌️👍🤪
Park MGM! Warning, wall so thin this resort you can hear your neighbor urinate in their toilet!
Leigh, I literally yelled NOOO when I saw that apricot scrub. Its SO bad for your skin. Please just get a liquid exfoliator like Paula’s Choice AHA (black bottle). My dermatologist would be so disappointed in me if I ever used that terrible scrub on anything but my feet.

That wasn’t nachos, it was chips and salsa. You have to at least put cheese on it. Sometimes you find a gem, younger know.
