I hope Andrew and Damian's Bounty Hunter ship can be released as an Ideas set or if it can be included in a show like TCW or Rebels so it can be cannonized and released as an official set. Such a cool build!
All the builds are really good! but the fifth build is the only one that would really fit in star wars

I can agree that maybe the rebels and resistance couldnât afford it but what if the republic. They mass produced warships and cloned millions of soldiers. If they can do that, they can certainly mass produce that star fighter. End of rant!
Brick man has not watched the prequels
I was kinda annoyed when the judge said that the light side wouldnât have the resources to build a ship like this on that first one. So first of all, light side is extremely vague, it could be old republic era, republic era, rebellion era or new republic era as we know the light side today. The judges just assume that itâs rebellion or resistance. Now I could be wrong on this point as maybe they specified earlier in the episode as I didnât watch the whole thing, but from how the referred to it only as the light side Iâm guessing Iâm correct. Second of all, even if the judges restricted it to rebellion era, the rebellion did have ships that were that size and far more massive. They also did have multi role fighters, contrary to what the judge says. He names the x-wing as an example of the rebellion not having multi role fighters, when in actuality the x-wing itself is a multi role fighter, able to dogfight with its laser cannons and take out larger targets (although admittedly not too large) like we saw in rogue one when they went to go kill Director Krennic and Galen Erso. Also almost the entire fleet of ships was provided from somewhere else. That means that if some wealthy person decided to help out, they could easily gift them a large number of those ships, or an entire planet could come together and help them out, similar to what the Mon Calamari did for the rebellion. In addition, if you look to the EU youâll find ships like the K-wing. Ships like these are the expensive ships that heâs saying the rebellion doesnât. I also realize that that last argument doesnât have the same amount of weight as it mightâve before it was de-canonized, however I think Iâve provided enough canon evidence for why the judge is wrong. That being said Iâm not a big fan of the ship and I donât think it looks good. What I see a lot of in this episode and in fan made designs everywhere is that they basically just create uglies if they are going for the starfighter size of ship. If you didnât know uglies are just a mash up of other ships. For example, an x-wing with tie fighter panels. So they very rarely provide originality and when they do, itâs generally not enough to save the models, save for a select few of advanced builders (obviously this group is very large, itâs just select in terms of size relative to the âuglyâ making builders). In this show alone as an example, made up of who they market as some of the best builders in the world almost entirely what you see are uglies. The imperial transport is just a Raider Corvette with different wings, the white one Iâve been talking about is literally just a big snowspeeder with s-foils (with a little bit of arc 170 mixed in), and that Jedi hunter ship is literally just a tie interceptor scales up, but it looks like itâs in chibi form or something, which destroyers the beautiful proportions and sleek look that the original interceptor has. That leaves us with the Rey ship and the bounty hunter ship (unless I missed something). To start, the Rey ship is one that I strongly dislike. Itâs to boxlike, and s-foils arenât ever on freighter type ships such as the one they had created. I think they basically were making the ship and then thought it wasnât very star warsy and slapped some âx-wing wingsâ on there to make it look more star warsy. However, thatâs one of my biggest issues with the model. S-foils are designed to dissipate heat generated from laser cannons, such as those on the b-wingâs s-foils and the x-wingâs s-foils. Remove the s-foils and you have an ugly ship, but one that is somewhat more accurate. Finally the bounty hunter ship. This is the only ship in this groups of builds that I like. It has by far the most advanced building techniques (which isnât saying much), a design that isnât just a mash up of basically like the top 5 most popular Star Wars ships, it doesnât just instantly fall apart if you touch it, and it has rather nice continuity (that is to say that all of the elements work well together.â Sorry for such a long comment, but I feel that I need to get this stuff off my chest for some reason. Iâm not entirely sure why LEGO masters chooses builders that are just average when there are so many amazingly advanced builders out there.
Amazing builds! They all did good jobs! The only thing I donât like is the guy and girl with the âimperial bladeâ itâs just that it looks like a Tie Interceptor but sized up

There are a lot of ships that land on their haul, like the ghost in rebels, a TIE fighter lands on it's wings(when it's not in a suitable hangar)

Believe it or not the ARC-170 has MULTIPLE roles as a Starfighter/recon/bomber in star wars, so saying that the shi the first guys made should only commit to a singular role where the design needs to fit the description would be misleading. I think these guys made an outstanding moc yet the reason why to me it doesn't feel like something I'd see in a star wars film is because it doesn't feel like a star wars ship (at least on my opinion), star wars ship has designs that are very unique and I think that's what makes star wars stand out to other sci-fi films.

Just a comment in regards to the judges with the first ship... Um, hello? lightside doesn't necessarily mean the rebellion alone! What about the New Republic, Old republic, back or forward in time to when the lightside is significantly more funded!

I think the only one that really looked like it belonged as its own ship in the universe was the bounty hunter one. The color scheme was on point, as was the design. The first was very very fantastical (even more so than most star wars ships), very scifi, but lost the star wars aesthetic by combing so many blaster elements. The second one looked more like one of the ships from treasure planet with the bow and boat-esque look. The third was the second most star wars, and I could definitely see it in universe, but more first order; it looked on par with Kylo Ren's shuttle. The fourth was big TIE fighter, and looked incomplete, though no shade with all that fancy technic work.
To everyone complaining when he said they couldn't afford it, to be fair both of them were talking about the resistance, theu talked about all the wings and snow speaders so clearly not the republic

but the ship is using the x wing cockpit and uses a lot of design elements that we see on rebel ships.

Sure, the ship is awesome. it does work in some areas but i think it is a little messy and it does look expensive

The light side is not just the rebels, what about the republic they had a jedi council and could afford a ship like that. When you talk about the light side it's not only the original trilogy like what happened to the other 6 star wars movies. Brickman dosen't know what he is talking about and that starfighter should have one!

All of these builds are too clunky. I enjoy looking at them but in some aspects they just donât look right. Too cluttered
