With the emergency C section you have a right to ask questions. In the nick of time I asked before they started cutting me open, whether I'm supposed to feel anything after the injection at the back, they did a needle test which was poking a part of my body with the needle, I felt the prick. Then they injected my back again. I heard the anesthesiologist say that the viles(containers) that store the anaesthesia drug when frozen, if it's not given proper time to thaw it remains inactive, it doesn't kick in. After the second shot, they asked me to try lift my leg and I couldn't so we were good to go. During emergencies, they tend to move so fast that they don't wait to see if the drug has kicked in. Whats weird is when they were closing up the cut the ladies had some serious gossip that they were sharing as though I wasn't there. Anyhu It's ok to ask questions...

I know this is serious talk but the way you guys tell your story is so humorous. Loved this video.
My fear with my pregnancies was having c-section and getting an epidural🙅🏾‍♀️ I am terrified of any surgery cause cannot handle that kind of pain.. I think😅 and I hate needles so the thought of being injected while in labour scared me.
I had natural birth with my kids with midwives and my experience was great because of prayer and having midwives who created a calm and positive environment for me. They allowed me to take the lead and gave me constant reassurance. Getting the right support is key and my husband was also great support during labour.

I happened onto your page and have binge watched all episodes in the last three days. Thank you for being a blessing. May God continue to bless you, your homes, your families and those you interact with immensely.
I overprepared for labour and delivery, in addition to my gynea, I hired a doula who coached me during the journey, how to sleep, what exercises to do, what to eat, how to sit even 🙂
My labour started (with contractions) at midnight, got up, called the doc, called the doula, Hubby and i both showered, got to the hospital at about 2am, Hooked up to the monitor and was told that the baby's heartbeat was slowing down with each contraction.
Oh we prayed and prayed...Doc decided to give me one dose of oxytocin to see if the baby could handle strong contractions, 2 minutes later I got the urge to Poo... fully dilated.. Baby boy was born at 3:56am.
    A mother by Grace 💛

My experience was same as Wacu's 1st.......weeee the labour pain for hours just for the baby's heartbeat to go down in every contraction then spike after, which led me to have the emergency CS.
I was so determined to have normal delivery but God's plan was different 🙏.

For me I had an emergency CS, my water broke at home and labor started, so I couldn't ask any questions 🤦🤦, but before the procedure I was given the terms and conditions they explained to me step by step the risks and everything, the procedure was cool, I could here everything they said during the procedure and we were talking. My milk was more than enough, I left the hospital with more than four packs, nikilala I used to wake up in a pool of milk. I thank God my journey was great.

I had my beautiful daughter almost a year ago in Abuja, Nigeria. Labor and delivery was super painful for me (plus I lost a lot of blood and needed a blood transfusion the next day). I thank God both baby girl and I came out of the experience alive and healthy. For context, I delivered my baby vaginally, unmedicated, at the age of 36 and I wasn't someone into physical fitness activities - I'm sure these factors combined attributed to my painful L&D experience😌

I will never forget the delivery process of my first born child. I was butchered like a cow and stitched mercilessly, it was so painful and i felt every stitch. Not to mention I was the 'book' for the students roaming around that public hospital. Why do they expose a woman's body like that when bringing life??? My baby was 2kgs flat and they had to tear me apart. No one told me anything about the water breaking and I was super scared of finding out anything concerning child birth and opted to stay in ignorance as my safe spot only to realize it did me more harm than good. I had preeclampsia, my goodness the blood pressure was 200 and i felt nothing, I only realized that my entire body was so swollen. Was in that public hospital for two weeks before delivering my baby girl. 8yrs later my daughter is growing up in divine health, I thank God. Still have those bad memories but I wouldn't have it any other way because i don't know how i ever lived without my precious little girl. I bless the Lord for the fruit of the womb.
