Fifth tribute is none other than XianYun; the donghua version of WangXian, the song Lan Wangji composed for Wei Wuxian.
First things first, I would like to point out that this is just a cover and not the official version. All credit for it goes to 南风ZJN. A huge thanks to him for delivering such an emotional performance.
I accidentally found it at Kiko Tsukino's channel a few days after my fourth tribute to the fandom was finished, and what a happy accident it was! I fell in love with it in an instant. I knew I had to use it in my next video, and although I wasn't keen on making a fifth video when that day had started, I found myself asking for permission to use it. So, a big thanks to Kiko Tsukino for allowing me to use it and also sharing her download link.
I love HITA's version. It is the official, after all. She did a perfect job, all the techniques she put into it show her dedication and I do think it is pleasant to listen to, but to me, knowing the backstory of the song and having read the novel, it just doesn't feel right..
XianYun (wangxian) is composed by Lan Wangji. It talks about his inward thoughts and feelings about Wei Wuxian. In my opinion, a male voice is more on point as it represents him and captures all that he wants to convey but isn't able to. All that grief, all that longing, and those heart-wrenching lyrics can not be expressed by anyone else but Lan Wangji himself, and for me, 南风ZJN managed to achieve that with his performance...
The last part of the video (the humming part) is Bian Jiang (Lan Wangji's voice actor) humming that part in the donghua. I always get goosebumps when I listen to it, so I had to add it here.

It is a song Lan WangJi wrote about Wei Wuxian. No one but himself can express his thoughts and feelings and that is why I fell in love with this cover. Because it feels like listening to Lan WangJi singing...

They are truly made for each other..... like heaven's match ..... their story is very tragic.....they face so many problems....Lan zhan....he waits 13 years for wei ying....he knows wei ying will never come back....he is dead....even so he plays inquiry...everyday....in order to know about his wei ying's well being.....he knew that wei ying will not come back...but his yearning his longing for wei ying never allows him to stop inquiring...
A silent ....strict.... boring....man like lan zhan falls for a very troublesome...loud.... mischievous wei ying....they are like yin yang....both are incomplete without each other...

The song is conveying Lan Zan's feelings towards Wei Ying so it is preferable for a male to sing it. When a female sings it,it is more like listening to the song from a third person. When the song should be Lan Zan's point of view

Увидела это видео вчера, сразу пошла смотреть аниме, сегодня досмотрела.. Не помню, чтобы столько рыдала над аниме.. Это капец какой-то, в моём сердце просто дыра. До сих пор отойти не могу.. Наверное для меня просто тема сломанных дружеских отношений слишком болезненная. На втором сезоне уже думала, зачем вообще начала это смотреть.. Но очень хотелось узнать, чем всё закончится. Мне так грустно, и разве что чуть-чуть хорошо после просмотра данного аниме-шедевра. Пересматривать не решусь, слишком эмоционально для меня, но то, что аниме прекрасно - для меня неоспоримо.

I have considered making a video with the duet version. The thing that stops me however, is that I like to match the scenes with the lyrics so that a story is being told. But if I do that, I'm going to end up with an identical video, just with a different cover of the song. So, for the moment, I've put that on hold. Unless, inspiration says otherwise.....

Lan WangJi) e Xiao Zhan (quem agiu como
Wei Wuxian). Todos são baseados na mesma música (wangxian) que LanWanjGi escreveu para Wei WuXian no material de origem (a novela). Não há nenhuma versão com Marius cantando que eu saiba.
