    Find it interesting that it seems whenever someone comes from behind at x-14 they seem to win the match more often than not. The psychology of the sport coming into play and whether or not you have the mental fortitude to pull out the win after losing a big lead.

      The mindset of "just one more" is the most likely to lead to failure, playing off momentum and not thinking about closing out the game but instead thinking to just score another touche is how you close. It's pretty easy to get completely demoralized by failing to score multiple times in a row only for your comfortable lead to be shattered, it creates an extra layer of fog in your decision making that needs to be shook off before you can start making the best decisions again.

      most often being 9-14, as soon as you get 10-14 you’ve won the match 90% of the time, no matter what player, what mastery. Every point has its role to disrupt the opponent, bizarrely scores like 13-14, 12-14 are easier to manage than 9-14, you know what’s going to happen but often don’t know what to do. And then once 14-14 the opponent dosent know how to play, easy win.

      You have the momentum and I think it’s demoralizing to lose a big lead.

    heehee at the most recent NAC, I was losing 11-14, and there was one period left. I got 1 touch per minute, and right after it became 14-14, the timer hit 0. My opponent got priority, and after stalling for ~40 secs (rlly good counterattack) I finally attacked and won the bout :D

      Sure Nickson, they carded him for covering target with his head which is against the rules

      @bananaboy1026 Před 2 lety +2

      used to be when they turned around exposing the back of the head, but nowadays if u move ur head side to side, and blocking the opponents blade it’s a yellow card

      @Dienekes1 Před 2 lety +1

      It’s just for covering target, sometimes I do the same thing kinda just out of habit but it’s a card for doing it.

    The hk team takes too long to get hot, which is why they don’t perform particularly well in teams, something I’ve noticed over the past few tournaments

    フェンシングの選手は、なぜ、マスクを放り投げるのか……
    禁止にすればいいと思います。
