This is absolutely amazing stuff about Gears of War! I wish I had gotten into it when it was huge back in the day but I can still appreciate it for its amazing characters, world and story. Banger video btw!

Wall bounce shotty battles are mad
The multiplayer for a little while was second to none, later it was for everyone bored of call of duty or battlefield, gears was an amazing alternative.
It's also the first game I ever played online, so it has some special memories for me.

Locust Civil War DLC would go hard. Rise of Raam in the flesh would be awesome.
I hope it's possible to have the whole Pendulum wars as a dlc. That way, we have all of the lore, including the UIR involved.

Loved the video man. I’m trying to get into gears I played the og trilogy when I was younger but don’t remember anything, currently on gears remastered, this made me excited for the new one and gave my what I needed to play through them, 4/5 are still new games for me so I’m excited

In Gears 5 Jinn had said that the Hammer of dawn has taken more COG lives than most of the armies they’ve opposed. I hope we actually get to SEE that play out in E-Day.
That didn’t happen until the Fortification Act around 1 year into the war, around when Tactics takes place-- so it depends on how far forward Eday jumps in the timeline from Emergence itself.
@@Buster-McTunder They showed small clips of the Hammer of dawn strikes in Gears of war 2 during queen Myrah’s opening monologue. So I’m sure they’ll show it all happen in real time. They even showed the aftermath of those strikes In gears of war 3. It literally turned people to ash and they stood frozen in time forever. So when Jinn said that…I believed her, 100%.

I believe it’s been confirmed to have all the regular Gears features we’ve come to expect, and CoOp is definitely on that list. With Marcus and Dom in the trailer obviously it should be.

There’s so much potential with E-day. It being the catalyst of what defines Gears of war itself.
I’m just thinking about what they can do with this prequel. A good example would be the re-introduction of General RAAM!!! I mean look at how they redesigned the Locust Drone! Now imagine a new more intimidating creature. And in his prime…fuck that thought alone gives me goosebumps 😅 I’m so hyped for next year🔥🔥🔥
I’ll be real I haven’t played the 1st gears I’ve play 2,3,4&5 didn’t really like 5, but can’t wait for E-Day.
So the Locust were man made. But their population bread underground after Prescott uncovered Niles's secret. I always thought them to be an alien race hidden underground. This should clear up what we see in Gears 2 and 5.
There’s a bit of clarity we’re missing as to how much of them are/arent manmade. My personal theory is that a lot of the Kantus and their religion were already existing but the more human Locust like Drones and Grenadiers were manmade. Also, Chaiman Munroe, Prescott didn’t become Chairman until just near the end of the Pendulum Wars. New Hope shut down roughly 50BE.
@Buster-McTunder Enough time to bread that many Locust before E-Day. Enough to wipe out half or a good three-quarters of humanity.
@@wickdaline8668yeah that's what I don't like about the lore. It would've been cooler if they were just another naturally occurring species in a hollow Earth type of scenario that lived underground and domesticated the other native hollow creatures. It would've made much more sense since the locust obviously number in the billions and have an established culture, infrastructure, intelligence, and are the subject of stories used to scare kids as if they're a legend or myth. I think it'd be way cooler if humans and locust once had wars or traded with things ending badly and history was forgotten hence why they're the stuff of legends and have so much animosity for the humans.
I’ve never liked the idea that they were man made. I prefer the idea that they always existed underground or just leave their origin a mystery. Apparently they were created when the pendulum wars started and were intended to be super soldiers before the experiments went wrong and they escaped. So basically they’ve only been around for 100 years.

Im curious what the citizens of Sera called their years before EDay. I know they say "AE" for "After Eday" and "BE" for before but the people of Sera had to label their years SOMETHING before Eday happened.
I would assume probably around the Age of Armageddon, basically Sera’s Dark Ages. Thats the furthest back we know of, a couple hundred years before the modern day. Like BA or AA, but honestly I don’t think we’ll ever know. It’s kinda like Star Wars where everything is timed based on before or after the Battle of Yavin.

That’d be neat but he was with the Stranded for a couple years after E-Day, I think the earliest we see him in armor is Raams Shadow around 8AE

You know me and my friend are mega fans for gears of war but right now we are having a debate if I remember correctly gears of war judgement was based 30 days after e day so me and my friend are debating whether or not if the general of the locust army will be either Raam or Karn
Raam was the general of the entire army. He was Uzil, which is like the Queens right hand. Karn was Zamil, which is more like colonel for the Locust. They just called them General earlier on in the series. It’s just that Karn was sent to Gorasnya while Raam invaded Tyrus.

We’ll see. Srakk is dead at this point but unless it skips forward to when Marcus and Dom were with Tai in Jannermont, I wouldn’t count on Raam showing up. And nobody knew of Skorge until 15 AE. Or we might get a new Locust leader altogether

Given his "I literally can't care attitude" towards the Corpser in Act 3 I wouldn't be surprised if he failed to blink twice at Kryll. But either or might fly. I believe the first time Raam used the Kryll was around 8AE during Raam's Shadow.
As long as they don’t bring them Fortnite emotes and rainbow bs gears can finally say they made it back
