The table with the phone you couldnt see cause you didnt get the mission had a book on it called "Roadside Picnic" this is the book that STALKER is based on.
21:43 WOW the thing that stood out to me the most is the fact that foliage and stuff reacts to the muzzle blast. That is insane as hell. Im so glad this game is actually real and not a Day Before situation 😂

Its a option that has been in even UE4, but most developers dont add it because of performance. I remember a video from Squad testing it years ago but never added it.

Haven't been this excited for a new game in a good while and love how solid it looks already at this early stage.
I have to say that the approach Madfinger is taking on the communication side is also a huge plus as they seem genuine and trying to build a game for the gamers, not for grabbing money and run.
i think bullet casings flying out of the gun would be fun. or at least the sound of it happening.. Like if you are on a metal roof the casings falling on the roof would be a pretty notable sound
They've already got bullet casings flying. I've seen in already in some of the other content creator's videos. It was pointed out that the casings bounce of surfaces as well
Getting a dense jungle style map optimised and balanced will certainly be a good starting point for this game. I hope there will be a city style map in the future as that appeals to me more if I'm honest. So far, this looks to be a less clunky and better looking Tarkov style game but it will need lots of interesting quests and a trading system for gear I think. Fingers crossed.
The game lore is based on a jungle island in South Asia, idk if there will be much of a city on an island but maybe they will add in later on. For now just enjoy what they've made for us.
@@PhiladelphiaCollins451 Agree, until the cheaters start beaming everyone from across the map. Streets and City style maps help prevent everyone dying off rip. But just be happy and don't think ahead right.

If this isn't a game with bugs and glitches, and runs just good, not even great, this will be a fantastic game. People are hyped about this.
Sadly the Tag 'Early Access' is almost a guarantee of bugs and crashes

Its the Unreal engine, there will be ALLOT of bugs and poorly for the first few months.
the view in this game just like my little villages. the rice field, the trees (especially banana tree), the color, the bridge, the power pole, the house, the mountain etc.
It's quite jaw dropping ngl
would love to see the health system get fleshed out visually (ie the bandage goes on the correct limb, doesn't vanish, etc.)
Dual stamina bar is a brilliant mechanic

i love the scope visual theres something about like "sniper" scopes in most games that dont do the real ones justice but theres something about the ones in this game that just feels good
Your video really shows how different a game can be showcased. I remember watching the original preview and feeling almost bored, this is much more entertaining and showcases the game much better.
This was amazing. Very impressive. The devs were so cool about showing you around and sharing info about all kinds of stuff. I saw Jacks vid with you and Aculite and I can see its already going to streams of laughing and mayhem.

Last few years have made me very nervous for being hyped about game's but every time I see or read more about this game I end up getting incredibly hyped, this could be a game changer.(pun not intended haha)
My first ever reaction to this game was being scared it would just be an "UE5 Tarkov clone" and I dont think I was the only one.
But the more I looked into this game the more excited I got/am getting.
After a somewhat recent video digging deeper into the mechanics, gunplay and the actual ballistics by Riloe, I REALLY can't wait to try this myself!
Since I have yet to start this video bc I was so hyped to see you play this that I wanted to comment first, so I don't know if some of the mechanics are mentioned or showed off, but if not I really recommend people to check out Riloe's video!

@@j-s-m If you think this looks better than Tarkov, brother... Sure the graphics look better, but the gameplay is nowhere near yet. And that makes sense, it's had so many years less in development, and that's ok. It doesn't need to be better already, it's going to take years and years to get this game where they want it.

Fully, that right there. "I don't think that gameplay justice." It was just walking around which is great and can show off some things but it didn't show a lot of important things.
Do you know if things like optics, round caliber, rifles, etc. are available to choose right away, or are there level-unlocks to gain access to things?
I've seen info about this game and it looks AMAZING, actually ground breaking in the genre, very detailed

Tomographic, another game does the persistent server and raids, it's not a modern time period game but its called Twisted Path to Renown. It has no raid time limit, only limit is your patience and rations. Haha.

I don't like how the iron sights are so far away from the players face. It's like the weapons are being held while the character is stretching his arms out as far away as possible.

I think adding a few random villagers and livestock in different areas in the map will make the game more lively, interesting and more immersive. And also a few villagers harvesting in the rice fields to grab that vietnam or south east asian atmosphere. And also the gang or militants in the area interact with the villagers like harasses them or take them as hostages for a quick in game mission. Like i mean random events that might escalate in different places.😊

Excited for this game
One question i wish people asked the devs was how loot would work, if it is a constant world, how does looseloot work? Will there be respawns for loot? That might lead to people learning the loot timers for valuable stuff like medical supplies. And then fights over free loot will just turn into timed fire fights over the same sector of loot. Idk im curious how they will tacle the loot cycle.
main question i have is if they’ve thought about expanding into other pvp modes, i don’t always want to have to be on grind mode for the extraction style, would be dope to have more modes like battlefield or cod 12v12 etc, would give the game lots of replay ability, also expanded map terrains like desert or snow? might be hard for the realism but would be cool

Ome small tiny detail i hope they add, would be crouch peaking, and step peaking, like a wide step peak that you can easily get back to cover from. Similar to ready or not peak mechanics. Ready or Not has nailed the peak mechanic and i hope they learn from it. Also changing your stance and how you hold weapon would be cool. Maybe i dotn want the chicken wing stance when indoors might want cqb arms tucked in style of stance. Idk small details but would be awesome to have control over.

I’m kinda wondering if the devs have considered making a secondary extra hardcore server where there is no invincibility on the helicopter among other tweaks to make much more difficult for those that want a truly unforgiving difficultly?

Music in flight would be great. Definitely Fortunate Son by CCR, Ride of the Valkyries like in Apocalypse Now, Paint it black by the Rolling Stones.?
Is there going to be choices of camo patterns? A range of types would be great, some iconic ones like the US Army Tiger Stripe, Flecktarn, British DPM, Multicam and the Woodland type hyper-modern Kryptek (looks like a cross between a camo pattern and snakeskin - my favourite camo pattern atm)
Different ammo types would also be a good addition instead of FMJ Ball ammo? AP, API and APIT plus standard tracer rounds. They'd be useful for laying down directional suppressing fire from team members so you can get a bead on enemy players, AI and PVE players. The inclusion of Tracer/incendiary rounds could also give you an area fire secondary effect. You could set building roofs on fire using them to flush the opposition out, then there's always smoke inhalation damage effects resulting from that also.?
Will there be secondary incoming fire damage? When Tomo asked about checking his mag, he was taking cover behind a corrugated metal structure. That won't save you from incoming 5.56 fire, let alone the larger 7.62mm x XX rounds such as 7.62 x 35 (. 300 Blackout), 7.62 x 39 (.303) and 7.62 x 51 (.308 or three O hate). Having those punch through metal could also cause shrapnel damage perhaps?
It looks pretty sweet already, can't wait to see the content from it, it'll be brilliant.

Still way too many unknowns about the full gameplay loop, but I'm hopeful. This is way more Arma Wasteland than Tarkov. Looks beautiful. AI sounds like it needs more work as does the sound. Fingers crossed!
My main concern with those games mainly is the gameplay loop.
Will he have things like prestige systems to keep us playing even after progressing through the content or is it just like tarkov where we wait for a wipe?
I love tarkov and the detailed maps with all the loot and things is so damn good. The map design is so immersive and i tend to say it is one off the best if not the best ojt there right now but after midgame it becomes kinda repetitive. Its all abojt the economy and money and not so much about story and objectives.
If gray zone finds a middle ground like the cycle had with not to complicated systems but still nice weapon modding, realistic mission design and a reasonable difficulty for a large player base this game could be huge and i see even my dad playing with the squad like he did in the cycle. Tarkov is just to complicated for him and the masses.

this game is looking pretty good. i guess my only gripe would be the sound is a bit weak. especially on the guns. they could use a bit more crunch. it kind of jarring a bit with a game that looks this good and then you hear a gun shoot and your like huh? lol

Thanks for a inside look on this game. It definitely has tons of potential. Would be cool to have some co-op missions where we play as a team similar to Insurgency Sandstorm co-op mode.
