This is for the record. Nina and four of my grandchildren were burned and shot up. There’s five kids sitting on the side of the road, got shot on the mouth, shot on the foot, shot on the leg.
The FBI is now investigating the murders of nine American women and children in Mexico. The victims all members of a Mormon community, they were ambushed this week near the U.S. border.
Walking all those miles was if there was anybody else out there trying to shoot me or following me, I was trying to hide myself the best I could under a bush.
We tend to think that cartels are busy killing each other and the collateral victims are minimal. But the reality is much darker.
In Mexico, cartels are constantly at each other’s throats and set to destroy anyone on the right side of the law. They also snatch tourists for ransom, pillage towns and villages as disproportionate acts of revenge, and unalive anyone they can steal from.

Yeah the bad spots are anywhere where there are warring cartels. Chances are your not going to a place where they are fighting. Most tourist spots are kept relatively peaceful by the cartels themselves.
