Sad to say it was Gillespie's last test match for Aus, Not many players can say they got dropped after making 201
Good way to finish but
Did he not retire?
@@TheJamesB18 not immediately.
politics maybe
Karun Nair from India was dropped after getting a 300. Which at least everyone know was politics to keep "other" players in Indian test squad.
The greatest thing to ever happen on a Cricket field.
The first test of this series hurts me more cause We played brilliantly throughout the test. Nafees with a hundred, Rafique with a fifer. But that Australia team was too good and Ponting snatched the game from us.
Pointing was practicing 😅
Sucks that Robelinda was taken down last week esp the full 1 hour highlights of this moment!😭
Sucks 👎 to Marhaba Cricket India Ltd
The greatest Australian innings of all time.
lol
Against some really insipid bowling.
You might wanna check Aus vs Afg cwc 2023 Glenn Maxwell's innings.
Simply mighty aussies for a reason in era of 1999-2009
I love listening to Jason. Top man
"Brain Lara was lucky that day. I would have made 400 "- Jason Gillespie (probably) 😂😂
ULTIMATE LATE BATTING PERFORMANCE FROM JASON GILLESPIE FOR AUSTRALIA NATIONAL MEN TEST CRICKET TEAM
Wasnt the first test aussie batsman to be dropped after scoring 200 runs in his last test innings.
U legend
"never gonna do this again so i might as well enjoy it"
Best all ollrounder
With his slow batting he taunted India so many times in test matches
Made 200 then got dropped. Gotta love Cricket Australia. 😝
He's a bowling all rounder who should've performed better in bowling... But he didn't so he got dropped
@@Uniqueguy222 Dizzy took 8 wickets in the two tests against Bangladesh (more than twice that of the other fast bowlers in the side) and was named player of the series. I rest my case.
@@broodingelm2216 I don't remember the circumstances of Dizzy being picked for this tour but I remember he was a spent force in England in 2005 and was dropped after playing the first 3 tests there. He just didn't have that energy through the crease that he'd always had. Dizzy was one of Australia's greatest quicks.
in t, go figure
hat series he top scored in runs and took the most wickets@@Uniqueguy222
Wasn't the first aussie test player to be dropped after scoring
He could have served for some more years.😮
To be honest he was 31 at that point. And reason Australia has been so dominant over the years is to continually introduce new players and developing them. Gillespie made his contribution to cricket at that point, it was time for him to let newer generation take over.
Harsha bhogle's commentary
Look at that score, you won't see that in today's cricket...
Should have kept batting 😢
It was a shame when Ponting pulled him off.
he got a happy ending!
He should have played a lot more!
And was later dropped for wobble head clarke
¿¡😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
