I 1000000% agree there is no safe zone. After my full term stillbirth 5 months ago, I will absolutely announce the second I have a positive pregnancy test, as I want to celebrate life, no matter how long that life may be 💖

I don’t like that people say not to announce it til you’re in the “safe zone”. Of course no one ever wants a pregnancy to end in a miscarriage but if it did, that baby still deserves to be known and loved and prayed for so why hide it? When people say that it makes me feel like they are expecting the worst. Positivity, love and good vibes always. 💕

I think you're right to tell people about your pregnancy. It's always comforting to know that everybody is praying for you and baby.
I hope you keep the gender a surprise like the boys but if you don’t that’s ok. Each of your births have a special story.

Now that she's older and can understand a little more, you should look at food-based comparisons for the baby and show her a real (whatever it is) so she can actually picture how big they are in your tummy. Like if next week is an orange, get an orange to put next to your belly. Or a chicken nugget LOL whatever it might be in terms of size this week. Then do a "countdown to baby" with her too like "Hey Emma, there's ___ weeks left until the baby will be here and this is the size they are this week". It might make her feel more included and get her EXTRA excited.

We announced early with all three of my pregnancies. We lost our second baby but it was so comforting for us when everyone would know and would check on us and pray for us as well.

@@kaputz8107 I don’t think the OP meant to imply those who have suffered losses don’t deserve a miracle but this situation is different. You must be new here. Rachelle and Justin had a less than 1% chance of conceiving naturally. This baby was conceived naturally after their other four children were conceived via IVF, so this pregnancy is absolutely a miracle for them and they are more than deserving of this miracle pregnancy.

I learned to never question God's blessings! It's hard to understand sometimes but HE knows what HE'S doing and this THANKSGIVING BLESSING has been one of the most precious miracles I've been honored to witness. Thank you Rachelle and Justin for sharing your miracle babies with us! 🙏💙💖💗💓💙💙💚🙏 I totally agree with you about how important prayers are Rachelle! When Justin said the prayer before you two went in to have your 1st ultrasound I bawled, that right there shows the MAN he is in my book!!! I prayed so hard for you and will continue to pray for all of you!! You and baby will be just fine!! This is such a wonderful blessing to show you that everything you two have been through and have still kept your faith that God does hear our prayers and He works in his own time because HE knows when we need whatever it may be the most. It isn't our time and that's always so painful but when it does happen it's so worth the wait! Blessings to your family and praying for wittle baby's growing healthy and you're health also. You'll be just fine. It's so exciting seeing your family grow!!
Rachelle I was the same way! Certain scents made me extremely nauseous in my first trimester. The way my husband smelled made me puke and gag. The day I picked up a test, I walked through the dog food isle at the store and felt like I was about to lose it. Currently 38+1 and super happy my nausea went away in the middle of my second trimester. ☺️

Girl yes! I’ll be 19 weeks on Friday with a little girl & my whole first trimester I was throwing up everyday & still certain smells will have me gagging and running for the bathroom 🤣 hang in there! ❤️
Yes when I was pregnant with my daughter, I swear I could smell tobacco, everything in a 50 mile radius lol, with my son nothing like that just blister pimples on my chest, an old nurse told me it was the male hormones breaking out 🧐 interesting hmmmm

I announced early with all four of mine. The boys (each of the 3 of them) had me throwing up, there was no hiding it. My only girl made me nauseous all day long, smells, anything would make me gag. After a miscarriage in between 2 of my boys, nausea and morning sickness was my saving grace, if you will. It let me know that I was still pregnant, this was before all the ultrasound places were around. My oldest is 20 and my daughter is 13. I am so happy for you.

You should ask your doctor about meds you can continue taking. I had to change meds but was able to get on different ones that are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Helped a ton!

Every single baby deserves to be acknowledged, loved and anticipated. I totally respect parents that want to keep a pregnancy secret until they feel safe. But if there were a loss, being sad in secret is so hard and those you love would want to be able to comfort you in any small way they could. And like I said, a baby, no matter how long they live should be celebrated. The odds are that everything will be fine and everyone can share in the joy of the pregnancy from the start! I hear people say "they should have waited," but no, I don't think so, if the parents want to share, then nothing should stop them from sharing their amazing, wonderful news! Joy is sometimes hard to find and something like this brings so much joy to aunts, uncles and grandparents and all the friends that love you so much!

I’ve had 3 pregnancy’s (2 singleton losses) and I announced our twins right away because of the same reasons. I always felt I wanted my babies lives to be celebrated no matter how long they were.
