Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, serving as the sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II.
The game is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, as part of a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ. A full reveal of the game took place on August 17, 2023.

No longer the early 2000s where graphical fidelity was increasing drastically over the years. Modern game engines are about as photorealistic as the current technology allows.

Because instead of building the game from the ground up they want to expand on the previous title and make it better. Its smarter than making an entirely new game and having people complain how the last one was better
Tbh I really think you should have done it side by side. Its hard to compare really similar games when its separate clips.
Some suggestions for improving the realism if a COD dev sees this. Note these are incredibly simple changes, but go a long way :
- When a tire is shot, the gas should exit from the bullet entry, not some random part. This is easily fixed by simply adding an effect to the location where the second bullet is hit.
- Car shifting should happen when the character model's feet leave the ground. Since all character models have the exact same animation, you just need to adjust the shifting animation of the car to occur exactly when the feet leave the ground. This is a hotfix. The smarter way is to fix this on the physics simulation side. This is lacking a lot given how the characters ragdoll as well. I imagine you didn't add mass to the meshes, so the speed or form in which they move or fall is very inaccurate.
- Snow rolling down. When someone interacts with the snow, the particles which fly and fall should roll down.
- Glass breaking. When the glass is shot, it explodes externally instead of internally. It's very unrealistic, and takes away from the good work that has been done on the cracking. This again is just adjusting the physics, and not hardcoding a singular animation regardless of how the window is broken. Another thing is glass seems to have barely any mass, which makes it feel like the glass is a piece of thin plastic.
- Clutter falling on a character should prompt a simple animation where the hand tries to shelter the face. This would be an interesting addition for when let's say someone shoots the glass, and the glass that falls on the player cues this animation. Simple, but cool.
- Foot prints should be left where the character model's feet touch the ground, not randomly around. This is again due to the lack of your physics simulator.
- I noticed some shadows are painted and not dynamic, like 6:19, where the clothes on the rope are moving, but the shadow is static. This is yet another easy fix. Just apply the same lighting mechanics to the environment. I know you are not doing this as when you shine light on objects they don't cast any shadows. These are what make the game feel realistic. Lighting is immensely important.
- I understand the choice of removing smoke and visual recoil has been intentional, but it does not impact the gameplay, and now has lost its realism. I think MW2 was more realistic because of this.
- Blood is darker. What we have as blood right now looks like red Kool aid.
These are some of many, many other details that are lacking. Some harder ones would be attention to the gore system, where the characters don't have wounds or bullet entries or knife slashes on their body, and just spray blood out of thin air. Another is use of object breaking and shattering, aka environment interactions in the gameplay, i.e., glass falling on characters, wood splinters from trees or wooden boxes when behind cover, powder smoke when someone shoots the wall on the other side, etc. Another is improving the animations. These are really elementary things, like what is the deal with the three handed Warden intro when she is riding on the side of the car? Or the wheel phasing out of place in the Jeep intro? Or the fact that the Jeep is not even on the ground?! These are really basic stuff for AAA game, and need to be addressed. Bare in mind these are completely besides you reusing assets, not bringing any new content, or having bad mechanics. These are the very very basic visuals that every AAA game has. I think it's about time you start putting in at least somewhere around the bare minimum.
why does mw19 look better than mw22 and mw23
Yess yess it definitely is
Its mostly the art direction. Mw22 and mw23 technically have more improved tech, but they have to compromise the lighting for better visibility. That's why a lot of maps are in shadows or cloudy. Less contrast means better visibility and less camping spots.

Yeah that’s why I didn’t like mw2 mp but mw3 mp looks good.
Cause the developers didn't include the AMD FSR in MW1. Back then the graphics were less demanding, so you can see in MW1 a clearer image with no noise affected by AMD FSR or the "dynamic resolution" solution to maintain a high FPS. But now because the game is very GPU demanding and the current Gen consoles are struggling to run the games on native 4k the devs are obligated to use this technology so the players can play on high FPS.

Some like the previous one and others like the superior one! So much so that this is a rule applied by ourselves. Everyone can like one and others can like others! I really dont like the way the gun sits in mw3. Also think the gun sounds in 2 are better. The firing of the weapons also looks more visceral and better in 2.
I think mw2023 is running on low preset as the event graphics were way better than these
Yeah, same with MW2's beta. The final release looked way more polished. They usually lower the graphics to ensure good performance for all beta players.
The Suspension brakes instead of the tire its the samething with mw2 2022 and mw2019
