Every single word of this song has been my life for the past 4 years.
I endured the pain of not having him, not seeing him and not touching him - everyday.
I still miss him every waking hour of my days.
I used to wake up at 3 am in the morning so I can cook and eat breakfast with him.
Then drive him to the hangar, a kiss and a long hug - everyday for 8 years.
We’re best friend since high school, we never run out of something to talk about.
Even if there is no word, our eyes would talk. Or we would read to each other our favourite books and hold hands.
Then I received that one call that changed my life.
I still miss him with every minute of my life. I love my place where we used to live but it’s too painful to walk the same street without him. Or to meet people in our lives with out a misty eyes.

Yes.. it's harder for me because he is still alive and walks by me like he never knew me or what I thought we had. I thought I was as important to him as he was/is to me. Time is not always the healer of spots where live has been torn out of... I won't ever be the same as I was before. It has devastated my 💓..

7 years have gone by. I’ve got a fiancé, the daughter I always wanted, a house and even a pet dog. But it’s doesn’t ever fill that void that was left when my late partner took his own life.
I felt like this, exactly like this, for a long time after. It took a lot of grieving and a lot of strength to get myself back up off of the floor. My now fiancé was such a help, he understood and always supported me. It didn’t matter that I was crying and laying on the floor, he was there for me.
There’ll always be a hole in my chest that won’t ever be filled again.

This song just reminds me of 2 of my brothers. (One has cancer, and one passed away 13 years ago), my uncle who died 20 years ago, and my grandmother who died 29 years ago. I miss every single one of them everyday of my life. and when I dance, I won’t do it for them, because I know that they are all so proud of me and my family. Having her youngest grand daughter in my household, being an Irish dancer, was my grandmothers dying wish. I’m so happy that I’m the one to make you proud nan Twomey. I am an student in my performing arts school, and I am in the oldest group (PA3). A girl in my group sang this song for our showcase that was this year and has just passed. Her voice was so angelic and evoked so many emotions in me I didn’t know I could feel simultaneously. She has so much talent and potential. I hope she has the brightest future as she brought so many people in the crowd such an overwhelming feeling.
I just want to thank her for making our show so amazing and for stealing the show. Because she deserves it.

It seems to translate everything that I'm feeling towards a break up and although I feel low and it seems like I might not ever be happy again without them, people have weathered this storm before. Ghost has always been one of my favourite musicals. Always reminds me of lost loved ones.
Grief is wishing so badly that the reality wasn't true without them...To want to shut out every memory so as not to feel the pain that comes with it. To not want to sleep, to not want to wake up. To go back, and live in the past when the person was alive. Sadness or happiness didn't matter, as long as they were still here. It cannot be described or spoken of. Grief is simply a new state of being.
Don't try to understand the grieving person;just accept what they are going through and offer silence.

Note: I had to sing this as one of my projects for my private vocal lessons. Unfortunately, I had just lost my grandmother (On July 3rd, 2019 @ 8pm. She went out with fireworks). I still went in to practice the next day but I just... I could not get through the song. The death of my grandma, was still fresh in my mind, as well as the memory of my grammy's (mom's side) and a good high school friend of mine, Jordan (who passed away at only 19 from cancer). I just sobbed most of practice but my professor was SO SUPPORTIVE.
......yeah..... this song got me all shades of sad... but I got through it. It just means the song is worth more to me, now.
