For Ling/Chalter havers who can borrow Chalter/Ling:
-Chalter can replace Pinecone
-At Ya's Phase 1: do the same thing as Kyo, dont need to activate her skill
-At Ya's Phase 2: use Chalter skill right when Ya swap place with their clone, and you dont have to deploy another sniper under the medic under Chalter, with S3M3 and level high enough, she can kill the clone, after killing the clone, turn off the skill
-Keep Chalter there and activate her skill again around 13:00 so there wont be any leak, when half of her ammos are gone, retreat her
-When her CD is finished, place her right under the blue box, activate her skill when available, done
As for everything else, do it like Kyo, gud luck

That was mind blowing. I already cleared the stage but wanted to see how it could be done without facerolling over it with a dozen 6 stars. This guy's creativity and understanding of game mechanics never fails to amaze.

This works with Manfred for the CC too, you can stall his first phase by placing a ranged unit on the right high tile.
@@IrvineTheHunterbruh as a new-ish player I learned to never hold myself in this game; we take a lot of time building those 6*s, might as well put them to good use.

My team is fine with -1 block, but the CM shadow buff actually screwed me for this run lol. Could've done it without needing to tear the team used in normal mode apart too much if it wasn't because of the buff.
At least Vigil is sitting comfortably on the left side with his 3 block wolf.

If you are a new player like me and following this setup to a T yet does not have the necessary dps due to lack of Trust on May, Meteor, and Pinecone, bring THRM-EX with you and drop it before deploying May at 8:05 and 16:08 then spam 3x Pinecone Skill. Thank you for the great guide. Subscribed.

Me getting 6 defenders in a row
While me got 1 leak defender 😐 and forced me to suddenly off the apps and then login again and again. I really want to jump there and smack those defender head for keep spawned on in front of dragon😑
TY Kyo!! After I tried to finish this stage 5 times, the enemies always leaking. So, to prevent this happening again I bring Thrm-Ex for emergency button when so many defenders come and place it near Ling's dragons, and it help a lot.
For my operators, I replace May with Pozymka and Pinecone with Archetto s3(since it helps clear mobs faster). The Ling has max everything.

even tho i have some p high tier ops, this guide is a straight life saver. 4 hours and over 300 sanity spent, plus using support units to no avail. this was the last thing i wanted to try since it used ling, but it saved my ass anyway. thanks so much kyo

I hate this stage, the cm looks more easy that the normal, because ling don't have blocks, so in the normal one the enemies can hit and mine always die in the most important moment (sorry if i wrote something wrong, i am from brazil and my english is not that good)
There's a separate video for normal mode, by the way. This strat is unusable there.

I beat this stage with the help of a high squad (alt Chen, Suzuran, Madrock etc). And I could not even imagine that it can be passed by one 6 * operative. It's good that I can just kill the boss near the red box before he spammed a many defenders
Christ on a cross, I finally beat the challenge level after three days of trying. Afterward I check your strat and I forgot that "-1 block" meant I could put ranged units on that center column without them dying to the enemies. I could've beaten the challenge level on the same day if I wasn't a massive idiot! 😭😭😭😭

What an annoying boss man. You finish the stage but still have to keep fighting the spawnlings.
on my fourth try 9 defenders spawned from the bottom lane
at this point i am out of in-game sanity and irl sanity
FINALLY
After using all of my drill plans, burning through another 50 sanity and almost ripping my hair out I did it with my own strategy:
First, get DP deploy Penance S3 and Mudrock S2 on top lane with the help of ReedAlter S3 (could maybe work with S2), next burst the first boss phase with solo Pozy S3, then deploy Suzu S3, Skalter S3, Lumen S3 and Exu S3M3 to burst down the second phase and kill the clone, at the same time deploy Spalter S2M3 on the left lane to manage invis dudes, then deploy Ifrit S2 on the right before the boss has range there so she can finish the boss and help with killing the stuff that spawns.
Always use Suzu S3 when ready after the boss dies to help Ifrit kill
On the left the last invis guy will come before Spalter recovers her skill so place someone with 2 block to tank the first 2 attacks and place Skalter Summon to heal Spalter
It being RNG makes a lot more sense in retrospect because when I did the normal version of this stage towards the end there were like, 15 of those heavy defender enemies on my screen and I didn't know what the hell was happening lmao
Had to do a lot of tries but it work perfectly with a little change in my units, great as always, thank you Kyo and happy birthday!

Had to improvise by using NTR instead of Ling and brute-forcing the boss like no tomorrow
@@VectoRaith the biggest problem for me when using kyos guides is when i use higher * ops and need more dp to deploy, but if not being quick enough is the problem, i just always at 1x right before the moment or when you select an op it goes in slowmo

This stage take 2 Sanity Consentrate and almost 2 Hours for me to finish it. Minus block is truely nightmare againt this boss.

I win this stage by mixing high-end squad for top land, Mudrock's land and low-end for mid land with uncle Mluanr and Silver Ash S2 stalling boss. Thank you so much

a Lumen S3 will be able to stall the phase 2 boss solo as the burst healer, just have to deploy him early enough to get his skill out.
can confirm, this was really useful especially since i had a bit of bad luck with defenders spawning and had to keep my spreadshooter sniper a bit longer
This stage is a nightmare even with this guide it still took me 4 hours to get it done.

P.S. I always fail the stage after the boss switch to the left side of the map cause deployment timer cause Im fukin brute forcing the 1st form of the boss I guess Unga Bunga mentality is rotting my brain so much.

I mean, if you invest enough, even five stars and lower can beat the stage (also the boss goes flying in phase 2, making it easier for anti air sniper to focus on them).

@@theseekingsankta3106 I did the same. Took me half a day to clear the stage. Turns out, my solutions to beat the stage were to not pull Schwarz out (I ran with Schwarz + Pozy setup for the boss as I have one of them built) and use arts centric setup on the top. Better to anticipate you'll get a horde of defenders and prepare for that rather than needing a set of RNG and have to reset whenever the run deviates from the plan.
Hopefully I can do better in the rerun, replacing either Schwarz or Pozy with couple 5 stars for the boss.

I tried and then lost 5 times. The freaking defender keep killing the dragon and the timing to use ling skill also very very tight tho. I really want to finish this stage and go farming those mats😢. Anyway, Thank you for the guide and happy birthday Kyo 🎉

15 minutes for a stage is far too long especially when most stages average at only 3-4 minutes
That's what happens when you do a super long stall (also it doesn't help that he's pausing and switching x2 to x1 a lot). You'd need at least two 6 stars or Młynar and S3M3 (maybe high leveled) Amiya for low end to end it rather quickly. Don't know if you can do it with just one six stars without Amiya and stalling for this quest specifically.
Just sharing my funny moment, I spent a lot of drill plans, and finally used up all of them, so I go with sanity one. And when I cleared for first time (it's my first WB-EX-8 challenge with sanity), my OS is like: 'Ok cool let's go with this', and then find out 'What?! So I'm done?!'

I somehow forced the CM clear method onto the normal level.
... with some improvisations and good helidrops/fast-redeploys to clear the blocked enemies on the walls, of course, but I found it kinda funny that I managed to do it at all.

the problem with this CM mode is that, it requires rather precise timing, leaving very few room for both error and improvisation.

i always leak around 18, ling's dragon can't kill the guy on the left :(
i was having such a hard time and realized GG could lower his health quite a bit with global range but still couldnt get that last bit of damage in. then i remembered Texas Alter and then it was really GG.

kyo sensei, i don't know why, but my illusion doesn't stand still like yours (the one in phase 1), it just spawns and immedeatly moves to the upper lane, so i can't kill it in time
Man, screw that level. I'm so glad I had Eyja as my caster. Volcano does a good job of taking the boss's HP down so the end was much easier.
Other CZcamsr: this boss is the easiest boss (duck laugh), Me as newbie: yeah only the boss unit, not the -1 block with unlimited horde trying to get inside blue box

Damn this stage is a lot harder if you don't understand the boss mechanics and just try to kill it as fast as possible C: fun to see the guide, I was wondering what kind of unit could save it.
A few tries until I beat it.
Rosmontis+Andreana to kill phase 1
ChenALT+Andreana to kill phase 2 clone on bottom.
Andreana + Provence kills boss on top.
The rest of the ops used, all abyssal hunters, SkadiALT, ReedALT, Texas, TexALT and Cantabile.
(Borrowing the ChenALT for a 13th op)
