The Sign will be game changer in Thai BL. First time mystery, action, romance, reincarnation, mythological fantacy storyline everything in a single BL that too in a high budget production series.
Babe is Billy's new CP and a good artist. In this story Billy don't fall for Babe because he is the reincarnation of the girl but because it's their mythological bonding and there is also a twist of Naga and Gaduda ( born enemy...so might be going against nature and falling in love)
This looks interesting with a mashup of so many genres.

I think Babe's character can foresee Billy's danger in the future, as in "the sign".
To me it's rather "I love your spirit/soul in every lifetime and your gender doesn't matter", than "I don't like men, I only like you". I think we're past that old bl trope already.
That are also my thoughts. The story and just everything looks so fantastic, I'm pretty sure they will not go that route. It didn't even cross my mind but like you said loving someone without looking at gender where my thougts also. And just watched there special episode and they did tell about the strong bond the characters have. They said it perfectly, I can't repeat it. But its like we thought 🙂
