It isn't nice to face the bullets
Or to breathe the searing gas
Or to link arms when they charge you
And refuse to let them pass
It isn't nice, it isn't nice
You told us once, you told us twice
But if that is Freedom's price,
    We don't mind

Not in the "life habits way" this song sings about or democracy and whatever, but in a matter of choice, you know, the choice we all have, the ability to make it ourselves? Because if everything really was fine and joyful that would just mean we didn't have any choice. If you get it it is kind of liberating. ;)

There is organization in freedom, just as there is in dictatorship. However, I prefer one over the other. I suppose the question is what type of organization you prefer. I believe that when people are left to make their own decisions, work on their own behalf, and reap the benefits of their own ambition and work, everyone is better off. This is the way it is in the natural world, and though we are more organized than animals, some aspects of nature should be recognized for their brilliance.

Or Cuba? Really cold in Cuba, and I'm not sure I understand your point about the temperature. But, yes. There were plenty of famines in feudal, monarchist, dictator lead Europe, and yes, once economic freedoms began to sprout up starvation dissipated. Peculiar. Even more peculiar how quality of life has exponentially improved with the "revolution" of the economical, political and social system. Individual liberties brought about better life. Not an individual.

Ok I understand that (just checked my mail by chance), but just like the natural world, bigger things eat smaller things. Groups of organisms fend for themselves. In our case, humans, we're like a family of animals. So the profits mainly got to the top of the food chain, and I don't think that's necessary. We can THINK, something animals can't really do very much.
We can ORGANIZE society in a better way.

He earned money by people voluntarily going to see his movie. People wanted to see his movie more than they wanted their $8, and he wanted their $8 more than he wanted the time he spent making it. That's voluntary trade. Communism is putting a gun to someones head and MAKING them do something. The system with voluntary action is a moral system.

But the very thing you're defending, freedom, was earned through revolution against the monarchs (mainly French revolution). This was a tour de force against authority, fighting injustice and inequality. You could say it was a communistic move. You see what I mean? At some point all of these terms aren't enough to describe things.

it is immoral to force someone to mine for coal. If that person decided they wanted to mine for coal because it was going to provide them with a living then that's fine, in a free market system there is a niche for everyone and not everyone needs to mine for coal, but not everyone mined for coal in the soviet union either. The difference is, in a free market you have the right to decided what you'd like to do for a living. So which is immoral? A gun telling you to mine, or the option to opt out?

Second of all, I don't truthfully believe you have a firm grasp of how economics work otherwise you would realize how inflation actually occurs. Third of all, I get paid quite well because I work hard. In fact I'm self employed. I credit the capitalist system, a system of cooperative and voluntary exchange of competetive services and products, for the vehicle of my success. And anyway shes a socialist, not a commie.

You're throwing terms relevant to the capitalistic view, but you're missing many other terms and realities on your way.
The pressures of the markets in cap. societies are determined by the ability to get the best deal, it is not fair at all. And the goods are not redistributed, creating massive social inequalities. And it's a debt-based system. Tell me how that can be healthy...the interest from most of the money borrowed doesn't even exist in the form of money...

Or, are you using some alternative definition? Democracy is as immoral as communism without individual rights and liberties. These do not exist in communism. And furthermore-- I question your understanding of evolution when you say such things were random. Just the opposite is true, competition allows for evolution.

And things look quite alright now, if you over-look the mass job lay-offs...the fact that when a person is replaced by a machine, they lay off the person and he/she is without a job. The money used to pay the person goes where?
Every profit goes into the pocket of the rich. This creates an elite of super-rich people, and an ever-growing population of unemployed people, creating a huge market, and so cheaper labor !
