I finished s4 yesterday and omg I love this show, It's one if the best I've ever seen. I highly recommend you to watch it if you haven't yet.
About the video, I know its really simple but that was what I was going for. Im not really happy with it but I still wanted to upload it.

In a past life, I was there, as a Golden Age Pirate, on Bartholomew Robert's ship. We were there not just to make our fortune on our own account, but to protest the brutality of the ship's Masters. The Masters counted on over 1/3 of the crew dying on any given voyage and on some voyages over half the men would die.
I was a ship's surgeon and so I saw the worst of it. I remember seeing countless hundreds of lives wrung through the machine, while I myself lived. Because I was a surgeon and therefore a officer, I got better food and better accommodation, and yet it was my job to treat the sick and dying. When I saw that Roberts was about to take my ship, I captured my Masters and stood before Roberts in their stead, and because of that, Roberts declared that I should be his Matelot...
Ahhhhh Black Sails was such an underrated show that deserved more hype! The video is amazing!

Wow. Intense. Powerful. Amazing. Unfortunately for me, my hatred and disgust for Rogers and his relationship with Eleanor - just horrible, unhealthy and without the slightest real love for me - is so strong that I was forced to stop that I saw scenes of they together, it cuts me the pleasure unfortunately. However, your video is really awesome and it gave me chills at first. This music is so perfect for the show. And your blue coloring is beautiful! I loved the beginning and I would have loved the video as never if there had not been Rogers/Eleanor scenes in it. But this is only a personal feeling about this relationship and it certainly does not affect your beautiful video and therefore, despite the fact that I could not fully appreciate it or even finish it because of it, I leave you a blue thumb and I say congratulations! What a beautiful job!
MissEleanorVane The relationship wasn't supposed to be healthy. I found it truly fascinating in the show though because you could just see Eleanor was doing everything she could to keep power and forget Charles.
I do not know what were the intentions of the creators regarding Rogers and Eleanor and their relationship, if they wanted us to believe in a real love affair or if it was really an unhealthy goal, but the result is that Rogers and Eleanor relationship is unhealthy, no matter what their intentions. I can see what you mean, but personally, I find it more disgusting than fascinating, because I see Eleanor sinking into the lie and the illusion until it destroys her completely. And loving Eleanor ferociously, it broke my heart and made me sick of Rogers.
Also, I do not really feel that she wanted to keep the power. On the contrary, Eleanor... abandons power, she resigns herself with Rogers, resigns herself to play the role of a submissive woman, a role she would have had to keep all her life while being married to him. And for a woman as strong as she was... It's just so tragic and unbearable to see her like that.
For Charles, she tried to forget him yes, but for him, I share the thoughts of actress Hannah New who plays Eleanor : Eleanor trying to kill a part of herself by killing Charles, she did not had time to realize what she did to him or what she did to herself by killing him, and she could not survive without that share that Charles for her. Who was the pirate part, the free and independent part in her.
In truth, the tragedy of Eleanor is: she has destroyed herself. A little more each season. But Rogers was the last shot. And that she had spent these last months with a man she did not know and that she did not really love, it kills me, I admit. To the point or even if her death broke my heart, it's such a better ending than a life with Rogers for her.
Omg, I hate Eleonor & Rogers part so much and their relationships, it all false. Especially, after killing Charles, I'll never forgive her for killing him, she didn't realize anything, even after Charles said he loved her.... she didn't even regret...and I didn't feel sorry about her death....
