- THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (June 2, 2024)
Today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. We are celebrating the real presence of Jesus in the bread and wine consecrated at the Eucharist. By the Word of the Lord uttered by the priest and by the action of the Holy Spirit, the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus. The community that receives Jesus in the Eucharist becomes the ecclesial body of Christ animated by the Spirit.
The Gospel of Saint Mark narrates that during Passover, Jesus “took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, ‘Take it; this is my body.” In a similar manner, he passed the cup to his disciples that they may drink of the “blood of the covenant, [which is his blood] shed for many.”
Do we render reverence to Jesus’ body and blood, which he offers for our salvation? Are we faithful to the covenant with God sealed by the blood of Jesus?

Oh my God.This proclamation sealing the covenant with the blood of Jesus makes me lose steam to observe all his commandments with utmost sacrifice I pray young people will not lose the same
The utmost sacrifice that christians are to perform in the covenant is to emulate Jesus' where Jesus Christ shed blood to fulfill his covenant with God
The blood of the new covenant is the ultimate sacrifice to fulfill christians ' covenant with God

Our young people cannot perform any obligation in the covenant because their obligation is to observe all his commandments which is exposed as mysteries
Due to the making of the gospel mysteries of faith, young people cannot find what to do to fulfill the covenant with utmost sacrifice emulating Jesus' shedding of blood in the performance of His obligation in the covenant with the Father in heaven
Let us not create mystery about the word blood in this gospel by interpreting blood as seal.Let us accept the word blood as the last full measure of man's fulfillment of the covenant
The blood shall not be construed as a seal; it shall be taken as a model of observance of the covenant performance

It is worth noting that lies cannot be consistent when relayed in different occasions
Will the information that the covenant had been sealed with the blood of Jesus make people exert utmost efforts to obsrve all his commandments?
Nothing told or exposed that is not .mysterious in this homily focused on the blood of the covenant
This gospel is not about seal,This is an order of Jesus Christ to all baptized christians to emulate his shedding of blood for the sense of purpose to comply with his obligation to the father in heaven
People do not receive their due from their brothers and sisters who are supposed to be sheep of the lord.Those who could have acted as sheep of the lord are doing acts of the goats who never feed the hungry,give drink to the thirsty, visit the imprisond by poverty,etc....All these plight is the fruit of the mysteries of faith
In one occasion the same gospel was exposed as"covenant of life" In another occasion the same gospel is exposed as " the blood of the covenant" Lies cannot be consistent when told in different occasions
The interpretation that the blood of Jesus sealed the covenant lead young people to a wrong sense of purpose in the performance of their obligation in the covenant with God
The mysteries of faith proclaimed by Catholic workers of the vineyard make young people lose their sense of purpose to comply their obligation in the covenant.The word seal is out of context in this gospel .
