I like your chanel , but sister as an Australian Muslim who has also considered moving to Malaysia please be respectful of the locals and dont keep saying 500 pounds is cheap because it is not for many Malays , This kind of displays of expart earning capacity from western countries could create friction with locals and make it hard for malaysia to allow others to move to there.

My brother, let me enlighten you on the Malaysian government's generosity towards expats through their MM2H program! They've made it incredibly enticing for individuals to relocate or establish ties with Malaysia, starting with their tiered bank deposit requirements.
At the Platinum tier, participants must deposit RM5 million (about US$1.05 million). After a year, they can withdraw up to 50% for property purchases (valued at RM1.5 million and above), healthcare, and domestic travel within Malaysia.
For the Gold tier, the FD requirement is RM2 million (approximately US$420,800), with similar withdrawal options for property purchases (valued at RM750,000 and above), healthcare, and domestic travel.
And even at the Silver tier, with a mere RM500,000 (about US$105,000) in FD, participants enjoy similar withdrawal privileges.
So you see, my friend, your argument holds no water in the face of such generous offerings! Therefore 500 British pounds per months is cheap as chips 😉

Hi Saira, that is one awesome house for £500 (3000 MYR) a month. I recall that Melaka was hotter than KL when I visited there about 15 years ago. I would like to move out of London and the UK and might have to do it by July if the rent on my flat increases again this year. I could definitely do the 5-year visa where you have to deposit £80K plus in a Malay Bank. Would you be able to upload a video about the process of obtaining a Malaysian bank account and do you need a Malaysia home address to open one?
If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend visiting Kota Kinabalu's Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.
The islands are stunning and you'll love it. Cheers.

Melaka still hot today. I visited it last month for a day just for eating and sightseeing. I was shocked that in the city area, the temperature can reach up to 38 Celsius on afternoon time 😅😅😅. We ended up going home early to Johor and trapped in a jam at highway for more than 5 hours. So I hoped she would plan her time to travel in here correctly if she wanted to use the Plus highway to Johor for example since she might compete with Singaporeans that's travelling in Malaysia during the weekend

SubhanAllah I've just discovered this wonderful channel and have already binged on several lol. It's a great informative channel as I am myself looking to relocate to either Istanbul or somewhere in southeast Asia. Malaysia has always been in my top ten destinations. I've lived in Indonesia and love it, but it's a bit overcrowded and noisy. I like quiet places. Insha Allah, I'll most likely make my decision by the summer of next year. It's great to be a retired business owner from California but my children are all college students and married and I'm ready for a new chapter to be written.

Just don't jump on the bandwagon of dislikeness or likeness for the word CHEAP. The main idea is much deeper, which is to use a more appropriate lingo as the lady making the video claims to be well versed in the economic and financial world. It is to approach in a way that the market is not disturbed but is sustained so more people like the v-logger are able to move to Malaysia and other destinations. Using inappropriate lingo can create unfair hype where persons who are thinking of moving to these affordable destinations will miss out on the opportunity.
    Simple, Act Responsibly.

If only I have discovered your channel earlier I would have recommended u to purchase bungalow houses in Janda Baik, Bentong or Genting Highlands where you can get them around your price range. The only difference is that these places are way better than KL. They are located just beside the million years old forest reserves, milder temperatures, capital towns of the musang king durians, the infamous Bentong ginger and a shout away from the biggest casino and theme park in South East Asia. By staying there you can enjoy the best that Msia has to offer from simple but comfortable village life to the life in KL as they are located just 30 mins from KL. Of course the cost of living is cheaper too.

Houses in Malaysia are simple because of the constant warm climate, you just need a roof and four walls thats it, no insulation and just common sense to have good ventilation and fan to keep the heat dispersed.

Hello from Malaysia. It's confounding to see a family from the UK happily relocating here when some here are trying to emigrate. Regardless, you are very welcome in this country and don't be too worried about what another commentator has said about 'respect'', because while many Malaysians live in squalor, they're also decent people who have no problems with affluent people who are decent as well and make an honest living. I wouldn't worry about describing the price of a home a certan way. Good day.

I am a Malaysian working in the UK. Please do not believe everything you hear from this video. There are a lot of other issues living in Malaysia that is not being covered. Yes, living standards are low in Malaysia but so does everything else. You still need to be vigilant and aware of your surroundings and environment.
The public services in Malaysia is adequate but poor in certain areas. Really, depends on where you live and which area you reside, some places are just best be avoided. Malays in general are very good and kind people , but there are bad apples in any society - scammers and con artists are everywhere looking for people like you, and there are also many corrupted people especially in the government, like the current PM and his vice PM.
The rule of thumb is : if things doesn't sound right , or too good to be true , there is a high chance it is a scam.
In terms of justice , my father died miserably from a cock up medical procedure and until now we did not get any compensation and the judges are all so corrupt , they are not willing to entertain further appeal.
There are many more problems in Malaysia , but in general if you know how to mind yourself , and take care of yourself, you will be okay. But of course , you have to mind your kids because drug pushers are everywhere and they always target foreigners.

You'd be better off staying away, then, so that we can make room for those who are willing to give us fair chance, like this sister here. You've tasted both side of the world (before you start, so have I, hence my unwavering loyalty), and still you come out here making Malaysia to be like some ghetto unworthy of one's love. Talking sht about our standard of living? Let's not forget in Malaysia, you will never be mindful of how much your are spending for heating whenever you have unexpected guests coming over, since our electricity is affordable and subsidized anyway! Our KKM performs miles better than your NHS, and we don't even have to maintain any sort of insurance to be assigned to GPs; our IC allows us to get treatment anywhere without being attached to our legal address. Every meds prescribed are RM1 for the whole duration needed until your next appointment, whereas you have to buy your own over there. Our poors can also more than afford to spend on frivolous things over here, we have Shopee and Lazada where the prices are often half than what's paid in Amazon/Aliexpress. 32 bottles of gel polish, for example, can go as low as RM16 easily (actual price paid by me just recently).
Your country (yeah, might as well renounce legally, we do not love traitors here) doesn't even know what is a woman, so shut up about us supposedly being so much more corrupted than yours. At least we are not openly endorsing and supporting genocide like your beloved government is doing over there. And also, medical negligence is a highly competitive business over here. When there's a body, there's almost always compensation. Corrupt judges? You're so stuck in the 90s. If the ratio decidendi given is absurd, there's always active form of check and balance here, from legal recourses to pressure by the Bar Council, not like anything can be swept under the rug in this age of social media. Our medical tourism is thriving as a result of strong check and balance system. You also talk like there's no bad seed over there where you live, when here, at least, hijabis don't have to worry about stepping into wrong place where you'd get hate crimed just for wearing a piece of fabric over the head. I have so many family friends like you, having to come back here under MM2H after spending decades badmouthing Malaysia. Fingerscrossed that won't be you and you'll stay away for good.
