- Today I reviewed and rated the brand new Nike SB Jordan 4 Pine Green! I put these skate shoes to the test at Tustin Skatepark by rating their looks, flick / board feel, foot/ impact protection, and practicality. Enjoy!

A “true skater” wouldn’t buy a jordan 4 to skate, there are many more better, cheaper options to skate with way more board feel and comfort

@@polong99 nobody is gate keeping anything stupid mf. The point is, this shoe is specifically designed for skateboarding hence the materials used and upgrades added to the shoe. Sadly, sneaker heads will only buy this shoe to resale or have it sit on a shelf. Nobody who’s buying this shoe is skating it. Like it was designed to do. They just want it for the 🍞 or for the hypebeast look. It’s like back in the mid to late 2000s when niggas who couldn’t ball were wearing Kobe’s with jeans, doing normal everyday shit in a shoe that was designed to be used for basketball.
No one bitched at skaters when they wore basketball shoes. Cry more.
and there’s nothing wrong w that it just ruins the integrity of the shoe and it ruins it for the people who actually want the shoe since people who will use them for other shit than skating are buying up all the product. It’s like buying up all the guitars to not even play them knowing that there’s a million guitar players out there who would love to have said guitar but can’t because some retard who can’t even play the guitar bought up all the stock for their own selfish reasons.

I wear the New York high dunk Nike sbs and they were like 200. I skate them and it’s nice to see someone actually using the shoe for what it’s meant to be used for. Not just putting them in a box on a shelf

Giving the Jordan 4 the sb treatment is one of the cooler things Jordan Brand has done recently. This pair is so dope.

i wanted these so badly. Ive never been a fan of thin skate shoes, always liked thicker shoes. I fell in love with Nike sb when it first launched. Two of my favorite shoes were the Nike SB Koston Heritage and the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar, PLEASE NIKE remake those

There was a time where chunky skateboard shoes were the thing.
Globe had certain models with air capsules, Osiris shoes too.
Nike SB is known for its durability and the fact that he skated the shoes and improved his tricks confirms that this shoe has been redesigned for Skateboarding, not for putting them on a shelve.
What I don't like is the overprice. I mean, five grand? No way!
$225 is for sure a high price for a skate shoe!

I feel like sb dunks are known for their durability, most other nike sb's arent crazy durable. ut I'm a beginner at skating so I may be wrong. Ive been skating the Ishods.
Hard to watch as a sneakerhead. But as a skater i def wondered how theyd skate. Looks r a def 10/10 for me...i personally would keep the upper wings tied down. I do flop em free on my sb dunk highs but since its that rubber id probably secure them. Again...looks dope. 90s skate shoes were very chunky like this. Now stuff is very slimed down n more practical. Im a big dude so I like foot protection. Also a bigger foot like you. 12-13...i skate as small as I can though...12 n even 11.5 in some n let em stretch.

Before Nike even thought of doing SBs we 80s and 90s skaters skated Nikes and Jordans all day. I actually really like to skate Jordan 5s!! But I skated 1, 3 and 4!! All great skate shoes. No padding tho which these have. Can't wait to cop these!! But I don't skate anymore

I like them for mtb. 5lab3 is also decent. For skating and riding. They can be found for cheap and I just tear them up.
God this was hard to watch, because this is my FAVORITE pair in my collection. $500 sneaker and skated em. My boys either rich or hit those retail
Excellent skating, but the retail price and exclusivity needs to be taken into account. For the average skater, a $110-$130 retail pair of Dunks is expensive. These retail for $225. Most people aren’t going to be able to afford a new pair of these once a month or even every other month. It’s not practical. With that said, the shoes look crispy af in clips. Some something to skate rarely or for those with the cash, I say go for it. People have skated Jordan kicks since the ‘80s, albeit typically from sale racks.

I don’t mind the pricetag, i mean if you can afford to spend 225 just to ruin them in a couple of sessions than good on you, however i will just wear them normally, there are way better and cheaper options available and you don’t need to enter raffles for them
@@tibiceltare I tell this to people all of the time. There are companies out there really pushing the boundaries of technical skate shoes for $75-$100 per shoe. Vulcanized and cupsoles, minimalist to late ‘90s chunkers, and so on.

As a scooter rider, I have ridden in flight rst 23 lows (similar design to the 4s). Fav pair of shoes I've ever ridden. Love the air unit and great impact protection.

I’m having issues with the arch of my foot (I’m prone to get lipomas and fibromas) and I tested some old spizikes I have and they are the only shoe that won’t bend standing on the edge of the board in primo. But they don’t have a good tread pattern. I need jordan 4’s now but the sb version is $400 on ebay (some are used, too) with authenticity verification. And $300 without… are those fakes? For $300? My feet hurt and I wanna skate and I’m annoyed by scalpers and hypebeasts and counterfeiters and sb’s with goofy colorways and I’m starting to feel like the guy from falling down lol

Nike SB is mainly popular for their looks rather than how they skate but despite that they are still the best skate shoes I’ve ever used! I’d recommend trying the Nike SB blazer or Nike SB dunk!
