- This is a series of clips, all filmed on the same car ride chronologically. Today Dad was focused on money and you can see how it always seemed return to the conversation. Dad offers me money at least three times in this video but my favorite part is the end when he lights up when he sees a father with kids

You said exactly what I was thinking. He remembers things from the past. Taking care of his family and wanting the best for them. Making sure he had money to accomplish the things he needed to do for the family. Those are what he always did. I love that guy too.
Imagine how stressful that is. My retirement planning does not at all include living to 92, hoping to be gone long before that 😂

Although the elderly gentleman clearly has this awful disease, he still has a very endearing personality. You cannot fail to like him.
I have never known any man, dementia or not, that cares so much for his family and their welfare. It brings me to tears sometimes to hear him so concerned about others. What an amazing man ❤
I found that it worked better to accept the money they offer. Then replace it in their wallet or purse so they always felt like they contributed but still had money and they never were the wiser.
I do that a lot.
He's such a lovely man!, a true gentleman. A rare thing today I am afraid!.
Before my Grandma passed away in 2018 she would get stuck on her blankets she used to crochet 🧶. I miss her so much. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ❤

This is me and my dad for the last 5 years of his life. I enjoyed our talks everywhere we went and it was like getting to know him as my friend and not my dad. It was the most amazing experience! I love this channel so much man.

My grandfather had dementia in his later years. He carried his wallet until the end and would always pull it out to pay when we ate out. There was nothing in it but a small amount of cash and maybe a few other things to make it seem normal. I am reminded so much of him with these videos especially with the occasional sarcastic sense of humor. The stories....😂

'when kids are little...they have a LONG way to go to grow big & be on their own to take care of themselves', he reflects over that... 'YOU'RE about HALF-WAY there'...then glances out the corner of his eye to catch your response, Dan. WHAT A HOOT ! What a 'punch' line; what a sense of humor ! Grandpa is so very observant as you drive through town..he notices everything!! It’s amazing how alert he is. Despite him losing his train of thought at times his wheels are always turning!!

He is amazing and even though he has Alzheimer’s he still does not want to feel as though he is taking anything from you. He was obviously so independent his whole life 🥰 I remember my mother during her last days, it pained her, she cried to us saying she felt a burden but she was never a burden but it hurt more to know that is how she felt. She raised us, we repaid her with love and care by then being there for her when she could no longer care for herself. I salute you, your wife and your family for the care and love you bring him, it’s not easy but you take it 1 day at a time and just show him love and that’s special ❤
