    this video is beautiful. i’m pretty familiar with yin and yang through my studies of chinese/japanese zen & buddhism and never really saw music production through this lens. though, i definitely unconsciously have been attempting to balance yin and yang while making my dnb inspired tracks by trying to create an emotional atmosphere while also trying to tell a story through my sound selection, song progression, etc. i thank you very much for this video! really insightful stuff here fr ❤️

    Honestly one of the best videos on the art of music production I've ever seen. Viewing music creation through the concept of Yin & Yang is a brilliant perspective, I'm certainly going to be bearing this in mind when creating from now on. I actually often think we need a lot more awareness of Yin & Yang in Western culture, it's such a helpful lens through which to understand almost everything. Thanks for such a game changing concept! Keep killing it 💪

    Nice video! It helped me to look into the creative side with another perspective. I'm following you for not so long (like a year approx) but your videos compared with other artists doing the same is the way you think, I'm in the agnostic/atheist side of life but the tips you give like those and one I remember very well (practice the happiness) put a very interesting way of take things. Greetings from spain !

    Amazing video. I will be considering these philosophies in my music and in my own life balance :)

    Beautifully sublime and exceptionally well presented and explained...
    I try to balance both in my projects...

      @@STRANJAH I'm in awe of how you produce... I still have 40 Days on my device to help the day pass...
      I'd definitely be one for more existential content like this... ☯️🎶

      @@AGB_HDV That track is a perfect example of Yin and Yang being in balance.. I was totally just feeling it out (Yin), but then there is a decisiveness with the programming and mix (Yang)

    Dnb is a spiritual experience for some?
    Is this not a dnb sermon?

    • @STRANJAH
      @STRANJAH  Před 5 měsíci +3

      If you want it to be. This is more about accessing different faculties of your brain when making music. Some take a more cerebral approach while others feel the music out.

      @STRANJAH thank you for the replying! Sounded like you laying down tenets for a new religion of dnb with how you spoke. I do think like this, although, I tend to avoid speaking like this to others about music because it is too hairy fairy and superspiritual for most people. They easily mock

      Trance has always been seen in a similar way, it originated in India. Music in general is seen as spiritual by many, not so much the mainstream genres but many other genres are well-known as causing spiritual experiences for many. Being at a festival and hearing euphoric DnB or trance is different than hearing rock music at a festival@@salvatorefanara482
