You can tell the difference in what us Mexicans call street tacos.
Hey man, it's been fun getting to know your brother Jim. Any good recipes for beef tongue or beef heart? I'm getting both for free because my in-laws, who recently had a cow slaughtered, don't know what to do with them. I'd love to hear some suggestions.
Hello came over here from T-Roy Cooks channel, just checking your channel out. Really cool thanks for sharing
Awesome, thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day!
Really enjoy your vids bro. Why flank and not skirt. You need to do a video comparing them. Have never chopped a flank, guess what I'm doing this weekend
Love the video. And the cap collection you've been busting out. Do you close the grill cover when cooking steak? Do you let the meat rest before cutting? Thanks man. Good luck out there.
We don't cover it on shorter cooks like this, but when doing larger cooks that will take a bit longer we absolutely will close the lid on the flattop. Thanks!
I have got to try this
They are amazing! You'll be glad you gave this one a try. We release new recipes every Tuesday and Friday, stop by, you'll be glad you did.
Awesome BBQ video.Shalom Bubba
Uwielbiam tacos :) Pozdrawiam!
Love to see you cook pastrami
Noooo chef Tom you forgot the chilito nada de slaw!
HELLLLLLLLLLLL YEA. Good stuff.
Thank you!
Awesome cook Tom..I personally thank flank steak is the way to go...back in the day that's all we had, no flap meat...flank is a better cut with a much better flavor...Once again you nailed it brother..
Thanks for watching!
i love you chef tom
And we love you.
Ys can always send me brand new one too (even used would be welcome lol)
Just in time for Taco Tuesday...
-Los Angeles street taco enthusiast approved!
Thanks for watching!
Still waiting on merch!
Us too. :)
For my carne asada. I normally use beef broth with some habanero and lime juice for my marinade. Obviously there's a few more things that I use in it. But that's kind of the base.
Sounds great!
Long live YODER SMOKERS tacos looks good chef T I like a Lil pickle and radish in my Pico. Sorry I miss out over there but had things to to
No worries. Thanks for watching as always!
Is that the grates that come with the unit or did you all upgrade it. I look at yoder Smokers website and did not see same grates. Is that yoder grill but you have upgraded grates.
These are the 24" GrillGrate grates in place of the traditional expanded metal grates. Thanks for watching!
anyone know how much this makes? I wanna make this for about 20 people.... 2-3 tacos PP??? triple it?
Flank steak tacos rule. I make a simple salsa, couple roasted tomatillos, garlic, guajillos, and about 50 arbols, and lots of onion cilantro and lime on the side!
chef tom! can you show us how you keep your ys640 so clean? I've got a lot of tough build up on my diffuser plate
Do you cover your diffuser plate in foil? I do a fresh layer of foil each time I'm going for a long cook. Very easy to clean up.
We just scrape it down with a stiff plastic putty knife when it needs it. If it has a ton of buildup get it soaking in a tub with some Simple Green and then spray it off. Then maintain as necessary.
cjlandmark13 great tip, why haven't I thought of this
allthingsbbq thank you!
Ryan H. He just rolls a new one off of the showroom floor which is just next to where he cooks! LOL
Want some flank steak with your seasoning?
You got my sub!
Thank you!
That famous mmm lol
Damn, where do you get onions that size...
Probably Dillon's (our Kroger locally).
I couldn't tell but were you using flour tortillas?
Tom love your vidios I tell all my friends about ur channel ..You should invite some of your fans to come smoke with you ... Have fun Brother
We have been working on a plan for a fan cookout. Hopefully soon!
Have you ever tried to smoke a stuffed flank steak and then sear it? Why not?
Does this contain sugar?
Hey Chef, looks good but there´s no way you might find beef tacos with slaw in Mexico, neither cotilla cheese.
Drool!
¡Viva México Cabrones! 🇲🇽
Why would u add so much sugar. Or any for that matter
How about a smoked salsa recipe
Yup! We have that on our list... hopefully soon. Thanks for watching.
Omg I loved this video man defo sub from me I love food channels
Does chef tom have an instagram?
@atbbq and @cheftomjackson
Thanks for watching!
How about a satay
Delicious. But a REAL street taco is made with little corn tortillas and crisped/warmed up with oil on the grill.
How about cooking a TRI-TIP?
Here you are: czcams.com/video/C7X5_Yp8v3s/video.html
Thanks for watching!
Can you do a cowboy ribeye steak❓❓ ❗❗
TARCOES
Why do people call em "street tacos" in Mexico their just tacos . SMH .
¡Viva México Cabrones! 🇲🇽
Luis Mayoral arriba la raza vato loco! 🇲🇽
It seems that calling them street tacos is common in Mexico as well, with Mexico City taking the title of one of the best places to eat in the street by Forbes, and they seem okay with it. But the reason is that they're smaller (4") and can be easily served from a cart. They call them "little cravings."
allthingsbbq I eat like ten of them so I would hardly call it a little craving. I know I'm busting on you hard chef but keep up the good work. Love your videos! 👨🍳👌
Thank you! And they're called "antojitos" due to size, not how many you can eat. ;) Which if they're good is a ton... Have a good one.
Too much work! We throw our's on the fire... we're done with it. Time for cigars! Best dinner ever!
I lost you when you put coleslaw 🤦🏾♂️
Got to give the slaw a go! It's awesome on a taco.
At least he got the pico de gallo right. Although I don't think I'd put slaw on a carne asada taco, it'd be okay to call a taco if it were on a corn tortilla.
as a mexican i approve , congratz chef tom.
Thanks for watching!
hate red in my meat
Wtf are street tacos??
Small tacos popularized by street vendors around the world!
Love watching your videos. Sorry but I have a few criticisms. If you're gonna call them street tacos please leave out the slaw and mid rare flank steak. when it comes to eating steak I can't believe when people order well done on a beautiful piece of meat but when it comes to tacos they just have to well done. again I really love your videos but this one totally missed the mark.
Tasty sure ....but not authentic whatsoever....really,slaw??
Street tacos?? Lol why do y’all call them street tacos?? They’re tacos...
Average guys channel Cause... we were serving them on the street 😂🤘🏼
allthingsbbq chopped flank steak street tacos hahahahaha
I invite you to come to 31st and maple ave in Los Angeles so u can't eat a real street taco. Pico? Flower tortilla? Slaw? Yeah not really 👎
🙄
allthingsbbq wack ass tacos
You keep spelling tasty wrong. Tasty ass tacos.
allthingsbbq prove it barbitas 😎.
allthingsbbq inauthentic Tacos. there I corrected my spelling
De-seed jalapeños?! Smh. Stay out of the kitchen young grasshopper.
Hey there were presumably young'ns he was serving :P We know from previous things he's made that he enjoys a little seed action from his peppers.
I know...I know, maybe I'm still bitter about the time I was 5 years old and was bribed to bite into a jalapeño and would get $5. Never saw that money, but instead became a man.
Not interested in a bunch of plugs for ready-made spice mixes!!!
Wtf is funk?!
Sounds more like something that collects between your toes on a cross-country hike than something you would purposely add to your food, doesn't it?
Cotija cheese has a distinct smell that some would say is "funky". People say it smells like feet so, you're somewhat right on your assessment lol... It's no worse (stronger) than bleu cheese or parmesan and I think it's delicious
Not street tacos
Looks nasty
lost me at flour tortilla.
the meat is not correctly chopping bc it still fucking raw or in this case rare. Pico de gallo is cool but not putting traditional salsa like chile de arbol. Okay whatever.
