Ich bin ein 72 jähriger Ausland-Schweizer und zu meinem 73.Geburtstag würde ich die Status Quo einladen um in Stimmung zu kommen ! Einfach genial ..... Dieses Video wird auf Grossleinwand an diesem Tag bei mir in Thailand abgespielt werden .

The complainers need to face reality. As time marches on, it gets harder and harder to keep the classic line-ups of many of the worlds favorite bands together.... retirement, death, inability to keep up the pace, personality problems, etc.... Its all bound to happen. But there is no reason to pack them up and send them off to tlbe packed away in moth balls. Status Quo is still entertaining. Of course I miss Rick... But I would still rather watch Quo than than the Jonas Brothers. For every year that passes, we will have less and less of the classic artists we all love. But you still support the ones that keep it going....for as long as they want to keep it going.
But he could get the original members left & yes no Rick but it's still a valid Quo. When Rick was alive the BBC done a documentary on Quo & it ended with the original full band in a empty shed playing one song. It was good & I hoped..
Yeah, yeah, I know "not the same since Rick died...blah blah blah" Time marches on people, people die, things change. Literature hasn't been the same since Shakespeare checked out....so we should have given up writing in 1616? Fact is, these guys can still put on a good show. They still rock. Stop crying and turn the volume up.

Everybody knows this is not the original Quo; this is Status Quo 3.0. But thanks so very much to Francis and the rest av the guys still going on despite all the shit they receives from many of you. I`m going to see them in Hamburg later this summer and I`m really looking forward to it. We all miss the frantic four but please dont throw so much shit on todays Quo; they are MUCH better than most of other bands.
They are a lot better than any Rap musicians around

I met Alan Lancaster once, Ive met the rest of the band a fair few times.. Maybe Lancaster was having a bad day who knows but he was a cunt to me and the fans. First impressions last.
I think it is great how Rhino and Richie have taken on the vocal parts of Rick. In fact, Rick was straining his voice tremendoulsy in the songs where he sang lead as compared to, say 20, years ago. Musically Rhino and Richie sing those parts better now than Rick did in recent times.. Of course, Parfitt/Rossi were the core of Quo. But I would not mind at all to go and see Quo in its current line-up
They really need to call it a day.
@RufusSpunk. Cannot agree more mate. As a 65 year old South African I still regard this as PROPER rock. In fact it is from the days when one still had LYRICS...not one or two sentence at max crap repeated over and over. An insult to music...and intellect.

ok,i love the frantic four,but theres no doubt this band is now perfect in regards to music ability ....leon cave is probally one of the most underated drummers and richie gets better with each gig....rhino.well rhino,s just brilliant .....andy is his perfect self and francis keeps this all together .. well in lads

@@fcernig33 Ritchie isnt Rick but he's not trying to be either but I do think he sings Ricks songs way better than Rhino who sounds like he's struggling and is actually sounding like he's a bit drunk down the pub at the karaoke.

Viele, die hier ihren Kommentar geben, sollten sich mal hinterfragen, warum sie Quo hören?! Drei der fünf spielen mindesten seit 33 Jahren bei Quo. Mein erstes Konzert habe ich 1978 in Dortmund erlebt und bin auch heute noch Fan, auch der aktuellen Besetzung. Aber es ist ja wie beim Fußball... mal gewinnt mein Lieblingsverein und manchmal verliert er auch. Auch bei meinem Lieblingsverein wechseln die Spieler, aber ich gehe immer wieder zu diesen Veranstaltungen um unterhalten zu werden. Ich liebe den Boogie Rock und Quo spielen ihn nun mal sehr sehr gut.

Hehe genau Ralf. Danke für diesen Kommentar, war auch erschreckt, über die vielen negativen Comments hier. Die meisten Verfasser haben aber wohl ein zu wenig gutes Gehör und sind viel zu nostalgisch, als dass ihnen auffallen würde, dass diese beiden jungen Musiker hier technisch mindestens so Sattelfest sind wie ihre Vorgänger, beim Drummer würde ich sogar sagen, er ist besser, verglichen mit Coughlan. Ich bin auch nostalgisch veranlagt und habe Quo mit Rick 17 Mal gesehen. Und auch ich sagte mir nach Ricks Tod, ich geh nicht wieder. Aber dieses Video zeigt mir, dass ich wohl auch zu vorurteilsbehaftet war. Hat richtig Druck, diese Formation! Ausser Francis macht langsam aber sicher einen müden Eindruck... Aber man muss mit der Zeit gehen und modernes gleich ehrlich und vorurteilslos betrachten!
wenn nur noch ein einziger übrig ist, ist das niemals mehr die Band. Spätestens nach dem Tod von Rick hat sich das Kapitel Status Quo erledigt. Das, was wir hier sehen, ist die Francis-Rossi-Band, die Songs von Status Quo covert. Ein Paul McCartney würde mit seiner Live-Band niemals als "The Beatles" auf Tour gehen.

1:05:45 I use to do discos in the 80/90's I tried to get the people up and dancing and they did not want to know then I put this track on and the seem to all get up at once. It was rock for the rest of the night. I even got away with Beatles Get Back and Hey bulldog. what a night that turn out to be.

Malone did well, he had a hard act to follow. Andy has been around since original line up. Rhino has been there a long time now. Together with Francis it still keeps some of the Status Quo we know and love alive. R.I.P. Ricky.

Why are you all giving Francis such shit for keeping Quo going without Rick?. It does not mean he has not grieved over him.When Rick had his last heart attack and was forced to retire from touring he gave the band his blessing to carry on without him. AC/DC carried on after the death of Bon Scott. Queen carried on after the death of Freddie Mercury. The Rolling Stones carried on after the death of Brian Jones and to make my point a bit further John Sullivan kept Only Fools And Horses going after the death of Lennard Pearce (Grandad). I know it is not the same without Rick but why shouldn't Quo carry on ?.

All these arguments about Rossi's Quo, FF and no Quo without Rick. I saw Quo at Middlesbrough town hall July last year and I agree with a comment below that they were powerful!
I was at that gig and the first thing that struck me from the first chords of Caroline was that Rick’s power playing was badly missed. Whether Richie was low in the mix or he simply can’t deliver like Rick I don’t know, but there was definitely a hole in the overall sound to me. Still enjoyed it tho!
@@hcafc1904 It was a superb gig for me seeing old songs by Rick. Think his vocals are missed despite a decent job by Andy and Rhino. Like Richie's voice. On the sound of Rick v Richie, don't forget that Rick used a really heavy gauge set of strings that other guitarists have admitted they struggle to play.
@@saintdave4980 I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years and play Rossi in a Quo tribute band. I’ve studied their playing since I was a kid, I’m now 51 🤣 The 13-56 gauge strings just give a thicker sound, it doesn’t hide the fact that Richie doesn’t have the same attack or swing as Rick. Rossi changes between 9s and 10s and still sounds powerful. That doesn’t mean to say Richie isn’t a great player, he is - and at the minute, he has the best voice in the band by far bar Rossi.
I would still give him all Rick’s vocals, Andy and Rhino are howlers!
With every lost member of the band the original Status Quo sound got lost more and more

This is awesome. Anyone old enough to remember the Rick Parfitt at the time..... his music and image was very powerful, he was everywhere, a great guitarist.
I hear a lot comments about Status Quo the guy that said Lancaster and Rossi is actually right. Because the 2 them met at school so beat that when the guy said it’s the Rossi band. It was Alan Lancaster that put Status Quo together our it would never have happened. Because Alan said to Rossi let’s create a Rocking Roll Band. This is why Alan fell out read your history Status young quo fans. Then there was a big court case about it with Alan and Rossi and Parfitt so Klaus is actually right
