Sidewalk chalk is a good idea. An artist friend of mine and I were talking the other day and wondering about using regular paint especially on larger works. Totally makes sense for filling in spaces quickly!

Just make sure you do it in the night a buddy of mine get beat up and arrested with a dislocated shoulderfor doing a outline in the day keep in mind this was in the us

R/N I’m buying my paint in The Netherlands and here there is a nice graff shop that sells Montana for a very decent price but I remember a popular hardware store that sold shitty paint for 6-12 euros per can.
In Spain, at least where I used to live, Montana could be up to 10,50 euros and other “cheap” brands would be around 7-8.

I'd buy quality spraypaint from a outlet (budgetshop). It's just the good quality paint (what probably was leftover from a other shop), but for a lower price ;)

Another tip is buying a bucket of paint and a hand held garden sprayer, can get some nice fat flares with them too
Tip number 8# Plan your paint selection, use a Molotov black. And for the background, use some crappy off-brands...

Instead of paint tray, cardboard, or messy sidewalk, pour paint into a small trash bag. Then when paint is used up, tie bag around roller. For longer storage of wet roller in plastic bag place in a refrigerator, it slowes the drying even more. Here in the United States, towns are paying artists to paint murals on large buildings, you could find a building owner who would pay for the paint if they approved the piece. Love the roller in the bucket trick, I will start doing that for my rental remodels. Thanks

Ich gehe mal davon aus dass du deutsch bist und schreibe jetzt einfach auf deutsch, gute Tipps, viele davon nutze ich auch, nr. 6 hat mich ziemlich überrascht 😂 und bei nr. 2 gebe ich dir zwar grundsätzlich recht, aber ich finde nur selten Dosen die viel günstiger als beispielsweise Montana Black, so Baumarkt Dinger die nix können liegen bei mir auf 5-10 € pro dose, aber anstatt ne schlechte dose zu kaufen nehme ich einfach Rest Dosen von alten pieces, die sammeln sich ja ohnehin mit der Zeit an

It seems there are a lot of specialized cans and sizes of cans today - I watched STYLE WARS recently and some of the kids in the 70s and 80s talked about making their own spray tips, taking tips from other cans like say a pledge can... is that still done? Anyway great video, awesome ideas!

What spraycap did you use for the black shadows? Nice thin lines on that high pressure Montana Black can!
Estilo Brasileiro, raro pintar só com spray, ultilizamos em 90 por cento o latex para pintar.
Also, chrome is way cheaper, where i live you can do a piece with a 600ml chrome, 1 bg and 1 outline, i use kobras and the are 3.30 each, so 6:60 plus 5 euros for the 600 chrome can and you can make a piece with just 11:60 euros
True! And I love chrome as well.. but some nice colours make it a real burner

I know this will be expensive for some up front, but a vr headset and kingspray will save you tons of paint in the long run. And it's great for practicing before you do the real thing.

And for grey or black you can use cheap non graffiti cans
With some exercise they perform very well

heres a great tip that i like to do, if you dont have any dollar stores or resturants around you bring some food if your gonna be out for like 4 or 6 hours

i do mountainbiking and graffiti.
potem i need a new mountainbike for 650 euro, because i have a 300 euro mountainbike. But i have no money and search for a new hobby.

the more i watch about graffiti the more i understand how spray paint isnt all you need
(the chalk is a good idea since i cant redo my sketch with spray paint)
In brazil using paint istead of cans is classic since 80's
Every hobby is expensive... but every hobby can be done on a budget
Good tips especially the one with bucket paint as fill in its and old time classic..
Some extra tips..
Find a clean wall and use it as fill in only draw outlines highlights and shadows (your hand should be very good so you don't fuck up lines)
Use 1 can as 2 colors . Draw out lines and flare from distance the fill in works great on clean walls..
Use charcoal or burning wood to draw outlines so you dont spent color on sketching the piece..
Find a private store or a school and ask for permission to draw graffiti for kids. Most schools will buy you the paint .. Paint some wack piece for kids, keep rest of the cans for bombing ..
Forget fat caps they spent more color just go try hard with skinny (2 hour session for a fill in o_O )
Order massive amounts of spray cans from hardware stores to save money in the long run or better find a group and place orders together .. Its better to buy 200 cans for half price then 4 cans ..
Turn spray cans upside down and take most pressure out of it then you can have more controlled cap spay so you spent much color from go out to fast..
If you are good at bargain buy spray cans use half of them so they don't lose a lot weight and take them back to store for "change color" excuse.. It work better for like 4-5 spray cans, 3 of them are half used.. Most people wont check them.. Sell them to your friends (keep in mind you need fiends to guard your back on train bombing so don't use this tip if you wanna have friends in the long run)..
And last but not least always kick those empty buckets of paints near trash cans most of them might have some paint left .. take them home like a hobo .. mix them all together and let fate decide what colors comes from mix .. but hey you got something to paint .. you will find these near building sites or even go gangsta and rob them from near street balcony's or even from building sites themselves just remember to not get caught by the security..
