Great comment ✌
Mike Rowe is a National Living Treasure.
He's so personable & charming. I think the key to his great success is , quite simply, the deep respect & compassion he has for others.
@@jeannerogers7085 Absolutely!
Agreed
No one makes a person feel more comfortable being interviewed than Mike Rowe. Always does a fantastic job showing the winning personalities of these wonderful people.
Your word structure is awful like you dont know how to structure a sentence.
No one makes a person feel more comfortable being interviewed by mike rowe than any other tv personality because he is so perceptive, sincere and comical and will shift his approach to suit most people after picking up subtle cues and hidden motivations.
To make some one cry in happiness. . .
You Sir are far too good at your job and a master of being a down to earth human.
The song about rich and the famous is about you if you were the king of the poor. I mean that in the most positive way possible. King of the average.
Anyone else start thinking when she said "I moved to Humoldt County"? Then Mike asks "How are you paying the bills at this point?" Then she says "she was a serious hippie" lol if you live in Humboldt county and you're a hippie, I guarantee she's growing alot more then veggies and selling fire wood lol. I love it what a beautiful soul she is.
Mike, these are awesome! I'm so happy you've continued with these. Thank you for helping inspire and show to a whole new generation that even though jobs may be dirty, and not so glamorous, that they are still something to truly respect and take pride in!
Agreed!
Hello HAL
Yes sir agreed
Not so glamorous? Hey!
Goats are the epitome of class and glamour! I love my humble few caprine companions, and can think if no finer company than that if goats
I’m totally on board for this one. I am known as “the goat lady” in my little village in New Zealand. I only have 4 goats at any one time but they are amazing. All of my goats are rescues. We have just an acre of land and had 2 paddocks built where we could move them back & forth and they roam free on the weekends. We haven’t mowed any grass in 17 years. We have had male goats but they were already “fixed” before they came to us except for one, but that’s an entire story on its own. We’ve always been blessed to have at least one goat that has false pregnancies so we had milk and I make cheese. Baby goats are the best. It’s a shame that you didn’t get any footage of them bouncing about and just being kids. It’s such a joy to watch. Edit: would love to know what you do with the poo. We gather it up and compost it. I grew a 77 kilogram pumpkin one year in the compost pile. All the village kids in the village came round on the day we were going to harvest the pumpkin and took pictures sitting on it. Then everyone watched as hubby took a chain saw to it. The pumpkin was shared out to whoever wanted it to feed their livestock. It was an epic day. (Our village boasts a population of 101).
What a wonderful story & told so well. Thanks for sharing 😊

One can never get enough of Mike Rowe!! My dad, who recently passed away at 98, and I watched every episode of Dirty Jobs together. He would certainly enjoy this new series!
My son an I did the same! Wonderful memories!
Me and my father watched every dirty jobs ever! I even got into his program to becoming a diesel mechanic from tech school! Love this man. Great childhood, great man. Glad to see these new series on CZcams! Got my dad back into watching these and he loves it!
Same, my dad and I watch his show nearly every night during dinner. So many great memories to share! Thank you Mike and the crew.
I love how she combined a hippie mindset with a business and grew it for multiple farms.
Hippie grindset
Just to clarify, goats only have bottom teeth in the front but both bottom and top in the back. Also, fun fact their pupils are a rectangle shape giving them an incredible rage of vision.
At the 15:30min mark I cried just before Mike asked Mary if she was going to cry. I don’t know why. When she said they all get together once a month I pictured myself being there trying to help out and how happy it would make me being together with them and all the loving goats and kids😢❤️🙏 What a wonderful life that would be🙏
As a fellow graduate of Humboldt State (Now Cal Poly Humboldt) I can say with almost 100% confidence that this is probably the only way to turn a Marine Biology degree into a paying job.
Could hang out on long island and pull golf balls out of whales after people hit them into the ocean
Or star on a hit show that gets syndicated

The best goat cheese I’ve ever had by a mile, Humboldt fog is truly special
seeing the enjoyment on this ladies face as she talks about her farm, really gives hope to the world
I’m literally living her youth right now. I raise dairy goats for the nutritional value my kids receive. The benefits far exceed cows milk. I make cheese, ice cream, butter and anything else you can think of. I absolutely love sharing our milk and sharing this passion for goats I have. I’m also raising meat goats. It’s my dream to have a dairy farm one day! Fresh goats milk is absolutely delicious! This episode was all around awesome Mike!
I need you to be my neighbor
I believe that after each of these episodes, we all share a bit of the "my faith in humanity has been restored" feelings together.
We sure need it‼️
That was so much better than I expected. What a great person. A great story.
You can tell that she loves her goats! The kids all have collars not ear tags! That warmed my heart so much! ❤😊
I totally love how you keep the camera crew in your adventures. Males this even more real ! Love what you do Mike.
“Males”😂
That was the sweetest show ever.
Mary gets that she's not a Hippy Mom, but still hold caring for others, in her heart.
I just hope someone as caring will take over one day.
Gott mitt allies Du!
Okay, she is a super cool human bean! I don't think she just got lucky, I think the good in her found the good in the people she has brought around and that's what made it happen for her. And like she pointed out, the cheese is just the extraneous product of the good human vibes! Thanks for introducing us to her! And now I must go find that cheese!
@Deelyn Lynch ... I don't think she just got lucky because she's using white privilege and stolen land. She is a bigot.
Human bean?

Mike Rowe is one of America's greatest people
I love how the base of your show points out that need is the mother of invention and the people that rose to the call
I love every show that Mike does.
An Opera singer who took the road to make great videos about great people.
Who knew 😂

Don't forget about QVC presenter. Those were absolute gold

No. He only sang opera to get his SAG card.
Mike Rowe was born for this... WE NEED to see videos about small businesses, like this, for inspiration! The fact this channel only has 266k is sad knowing there are terrible content creators with 10s of millions of followers, if not PewtyPie numbers. I bought an F-150 because of Mike's thorough video covering the performance of the EcoBoost engine. I just saw one break a million miles on TikTok so "Micro" wasn't lying. He comes from a long line of men that believe, "Your word is your bond."
I've learned that if you follow people like Mike, you tend to end up at the same destination.
He's at 446k now.
Oh my gosh! Absolutely adorable babies! All those little helicopter tails will one of these times start to rise off the ground! Lambs and kids! So cute!!!
MIke use mustard to wash your hands. It takes the smell out. Works awesome around seafood also.
I appreciate you posting these videos on CZcams because for awhile now I quit cable because its a rip off so I'm glad I can finally watch you on here!
Thanks for letting us have a opportunity to enjoy your videos, keep this segment going!!!
I love this series. Everything Mike does is gold but this really is a great series
Capitalism without the greed and the ability to pay it forward! She has set an example that many more should follow!
I seriously think the education system should show mikes videos, you actually learn so much and for anyone trying to consider a profession its a nice inview. Goats are awesome and its crazy that the western world is really only just making it a thing
Beautiful! They all seem to be proud of and happy about what they're doing. What a pleasant community.
Thanks so much for posting “Somebody’s Got To Do It” on CZcams. Great shows as always Mike Rowe.
One of your best episodes Mike. Thank you.
Honestly , her story and what they do is pretty awesome ..... salt of the earth people . Thanks for showing this Mike , a real treasure.
Besides Morgan Freeman I think Mike Rowe has such an iconic voice. Man you are awesome, I could watch this and dirty jobs all day every day
Mike your channel is gonna BLOW up if you keep these up. I love it
" a little bit of this and a little bit of that " Humboldt has and industry going back decades.
Congrats to this company
Mary is a fabulous woman ,...she had a great idea and went with it ......💯👍👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like this lady. She has purpose, and vision, and a sense of humour. She works hard and she is sensitive and fun. I wish they had asked her more about the school lunch program, and other ways she is helping the community as that seemed very important to her.
I can't get my head around the fact that this channel has only 256k subs. I find this thoroughly enjoyable and I do share this stuff with my friends. Thanks man ✌from millet Alberta.
Please share.
@@kathymcmc I do. Have a splendid day.
Watching these again reminds one of how special some of these people are. What a delight Mary is, it’s always so great to see such amazing spirits. 💕
Oooooooh, those baby goats! Kids are just the cutest! Your team finds the most awesome people to highlight. Well done. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY
I can't believe you've done an episode on goat cheese...you gotta be kiddin' me.
Haha kidding
What a lovely woman. Mike was the perfect person to interview her. You can see he was genuinely interested in her business and the reasons why she chose the path she did.
You can tell that Mike is in awe of Mary's story. Starting from a very humble beginning to a multi-million dollar company based on great work ethics and limitless passion. Mike is such a sucker for hardworking folks. Love it! 👍🤙
What a pretty place. And the goats are adorable. Really enjoyed this episode.
Fascinating. What a lovely person. Keep up the good work.
You to Mr Rowe. Always a pleasure to watch your shows.
Thank you!!
I've bought Humboldt Fog a few times. I absolutely love it. Had no idea how highly rated it was, or that it was produced by such an awesome woman and her team. Looks like I'll be picking up more sooner rather than later, thanks Mike & crew!
Mike Rowe should run for president!!! An impeccable person that truly believes in our country and how it operates and what's important for it to do that.
I’d vote for him
Loved this…grew up on goats’ milk, rescued & familyed 3 goats (Lucky Star, Rainy Moon & Milky Way) in my 20’s. Still love eating goat cheese & ALL my Dogs get goat’s milk, every morning, from puppy to grey muzzle. Goats are the coolest!
Aren't goats escape artists??
I see why this lovely lady adores that big leaf maple. It's inspiring, as is her story. I'm going to have to try Humbolt Fog. Mary is a great example of doing what she loves and helping others while doing it.
This is a very good showing of the cheese making and how it came to the business that it is now. Mary is a special person who loves everything about her goat dairy and creamery business.
Thank you Mike (and team) for sharing this wonderful woman .
Love the way she laugh.....free and satisfied
This was an amazing piece. In a way it gave me a moment where I thought of RFT. She was given an opportunity and returned a gift to the community. Bless her heart❤
I love it! You could give me just about anything to eat ... as long as it has goat cheese with it. Great show ... and Mary is impressive.
I might start eating goat cheese.
This was great!
Mikes great at working with people. He’s perfect in this role.
I've done the math. She started her family about the time I was born. She looks amazing! All that clean county living!
Very smart idea she had, love these videos.
I'm so glad your doing these videos!! I always watched dirty jobs when I was growing up, and now I'm watching all these videos, I'll be here on every video you make from now on! Your awesome and I always enjoy watching you!
Thank you for uploading these! Cheers
I really like that you don't have a curtain. The crew is a great part of the show.
2:45 Gotta bless the editor for leaving the clunk of the crew exiting after breakfast, going outside. Mike, an awesome show with a great energy :)
Jason the milker is high as a kite😅
Somebody’s Goat-a Do It.
Please don’t come for me.
What a cool human. She is obviously so passionate about what she does. Beautiful to see. Bonus points for adorable goats.
To bad a lot of people hate their Tesla cars because the batteries don't last and they cost too much. I feel bad for the African children working in the mines to make those batteries 😢
I never knew all of this and I love being able to learn something new.
I love the direction Mike and the rest of the team have brought the show. Dirty jobs was a great show, but i love that they are focusing more on the stories then the actual places.
Mike is a great guy........ He is awesome👍🇺🇸 all American goat farm .....💯👏👍👍👏👏🇺🇸
Mike. I really like these shows that you do!!!!!
Hats off to the lady who said if you can catch it you can have it lol. That probably accelerated her start ❤❤
Lived in Humboldt County for 5 years and never heard of this place. How I wish I had.
Thanks for a great video and for highlighting this awesome company.
This lady is so cool 😎
Mary Keehn! Glad to meet You! You came across a
way to provide a beautiful healthy product without cruelty. You followed your heart & created a neat & growing business. Knowing that small cow dairies were able to convert to goat dairies and thrive makes me very happy. This is doing Good Business! Your light banter with Mike lends me to think you are confident, centered & funny [not very salacious]. Cheese making in Paradise. Oh Mary, sweet successful grateful Hippies get an unlimited Free Pass to shed tears. You earned it❣
Mike were you actually afraid to feed the baby [they have sharp teeth] goats? Don't blame you, ruminant piranhas in the house! 😂
Bright Blessings Always❣
My family grew up with up to 6 or 7 goats for a family of 7 to support, usually 1 beef cow, 2 pigs, chickens and ducks , geese.
What great times.
Those things will eat the sleeve right off your shirt. 😊
Hey Mikey! I liked it, I like this episode a lot... Let it not be said that don't have a firm "Udder Grip" on Goat milking.
Mikey, if anyone can handle a "Goat Cheesy situation" it is you and with finesse, too.
All without spilling any "Goat's Milk" nor shedding any tears, through out the whole process. Sans any "Goat roping" either. Sweet!
All Puns intended, too. Kudos to your crew and you, too. Cheers, Mate.
Love your Purple Haze! Haven't had the opportunity to try any of the others, but I will be looking for your cheeses every chance I get. I've received a cheese club subscription for Mother's Day for the past two years and am hoping it will continue for years to come. Every three months I receive 3 new cheeses to try, it's always so much fun and mostly delicious. I received your excellent Purple Haze in one of my deliveries. I visit Sherman Oaks, Ca. a couple times a year and always stop in at the Cheesemongers to pick up some of my favorites, yours is one of them. Wondering where in the South/Central Oregon area a gal might find more of your cheeses? Sorry Mike, I am realizing this is your channel and not hers. I am ever so grateful for you and all the marvelous folks you introduce us to. My crush on you is fully intact, but am going to end it here and direct my cheesey comments to the star of this episode and her goats galore. Carry on my good man...
That was a most wonderful show.
Her laugh is infectious
It's no joke, that is really good cheese. The CEO/founder lady seems pretty awesome, too. Nice to see.
My mom used to take my daughter to Zacatecas Mexico every year before she was five . One year she came home with a tiny cheese she had made for me. It has her little dirty fingers painted all over it. It's the most adorable thing ever. I ate it dirt and all.
Mary seems like a sweetheart of a person, so down to earth and giving, how many other business owners want other people to succeed and become a business competing for the same clientele? Mike, you Sir are top shelf you have way about you that puts people at ease. Bless You.
Mike always finds the most beautiful people and their stories ❤️❤️🇨🇦
That ending tho 🤣🤣🤣🍻🇨🇦
Mr. Rowe.
If ever it was my destiny to set up schools this man, his ethics, his organizations and works would absolutely be part of the curriculum.
Cypress Grove cheese is amazing! I have a family member who works at the dairy and we're proud of that.
This is the path that every new business entrepreneur should follow. This video, should be used in every learning venue, where future business owners can get a proper start in the right direction.
There are lots of ways to do it, and this one is not the only one.
@@Jumper4ever93 I didn’t say it was! I only suggested that how she did it should be used in teaching others. Imagine, starting a business that could in fact, affect those other businesses around you in a positive way, by using them as sources of supplies.
@@denniscleveland669 in one way, I agree with you. On the other hand, this scheme reminds me of the same scheme that puts suppliers in a bad place. Australian milk market and my own country come to mind. I kind of don't support this lady cause of this. Pluc, it's hard to trace what animals ate, what vazzes they were given.
Wow! What an incredibly amazing, brilliant and humble business owner. This woman is cool.
Yes, goats are adorable! I have 10 new kids this season. 😄
Awesome story!!! And we LOVE goat cheese. We’ll try this brand! Mmmmmmm
As an Aussie living on golden beaches. Humboldt looks absolutely beautiful. Another paradise.
THAT was a special one … ❤
This lady is so kind and caring and the fact she seems like a tree hugger makes me like her even more lol. If only more humans were this way, idk what exactly she believes in but I'll just say from what you've shown on here and spoken about, she's living like God would want her to. Oh and that tree.. WOW it is beautiful!
the most relaxing thing, very zen, is sitting in the woods on a 5 gal. bucket listening to the goats graze through the new browse. :)
This is just wholesome, and it makes me happy.
This woman is smarter than many, many men... ❤❤
I have never wanted to give a hug to someone more than this woman, lol.
Love an old hippy, they are the best, and she is clearly amazing...
edit* Loved the top gear montage, lol....
I love anything Mike does watched him from the beginning of dirty jobs. I'm 52 and when I was like 12 we owned 20 goats, we milked them all by hand, never by machine, goat milk tastes so good. Very thick compared to cow milk. Way more healthy.
Really enjoyed this. What a fantastic lady. Would love to be able to meet her.
i love how humble, and kind, and caring she is..
Mike always meets the coolest people and brings the absolute best out of them.
